Sorry if the answer is already posted, but I have searched for days..
I have seen other people who have made comments who made the same mistake, but cannot find out how to fix it.
Essentially, I flashed a P990 baseband/ROM onto my P999 by accident and now the partitions are sckrewed up whenever I attempt to CWM restore a stock image.
Any suggestions?

NVFlash? Available for G2X?
K here's how I fixed it for people who may wonder later.
Download the bin here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037120
Download/install smartflash tool here:
http://android.modaco.com/topic/335494-12-aug-smartflash-stock-baseband-release-103521-20110725/
Follow same instructions, except in the ROM copy D/L tab, browse and select only the AP bin. I couldn't get the CP bin to work, something about couldn't find magic number..
Reboot and voila. You get factory T-Mobile software + splash screen. (I'm with Wind, so this is the only difference, and I guess OTA's wont work anymore..Wind really f*@#ed me up by labelling it LG Optimus 2X and P999)

I did the same thing to my 999 after it got hopelessly stick on the S/W screen. I tried the Smartflash tool, and was also only able to do the AP.bin file. That gave me the stock ROM, but NO BASEBAND - which I think is in the CP.bin file.
If you have working baseband, you are real lucky - as it apparently survived the LGupdater tool.
For those of you who are not so lucky, there is a recent thread in the Dev section that has a NVflash setup (including partitions). If you have exhausted all other remedies - give it a try.
PLEASE post results in that thread.

From the broken S/W screen, I nvflashed a stock p990 image that Paul made somewhere. That resulted in phone model saying P990, no baseband, no battery, wifi worked thou. AFTER THAT, I did the steps mentioned above.
i have heared the ics for lg p920 was officially released
so i tried to update it using lg software update and it told me problem in communication
so i have resetted my phone and tried to recover it
now it is stuck at 4% at the recovery please help i need that ics update
When I up dated last time using LG's updater I had to try about 3 times for it to work. Here is another way...setting up can be tricky but it is more reliable once set up correctly

so i have only one question is it official
you know i don't want to mess with my phone or put it a custom rom
i want it to be officially updated to ics
also every time i update it tells me emergency mode if you can please tell me how to disable it
If you don't install the rom, the v28B normal partitions .bin file is official ICS, only rooted with custom recovery. If you don't want that, instead install a .bin that is pure stock ICS. Or, there is a tutorial for installing a .kdz file using a different tool.
It all depends how you want to do it.

ok well i want it official
and one more question i have lg p920 so if i installed this rom will it erase the apps like 3d gallery 3d converter 3d space ??
The v28B ICS is official + root.Stock v28B ICS has all stock apps + a root app or two. If you look at the link to XBSA rom, it will list what apps are in there. I just wrote this installation guide, not the rom. VR3D has the 3D apps. I think XBSA 8 does also, but I don't remember. Either way, having root lets you install whatever you want.
If you do it, do it carefully. And if you have 10 posts you can ask me questions over there.
Please help
Hi,
I tried today to update my p920 thru PC to ICS.
After more than ten unsuccessful tries I wanted to try from the begining but with the phone factory reseted.
After reseted my phone, it displays "not enough space. clean ...."
In settings - applications - manage aplications does not show as usualy the mb used and mb free.
In settings - SD card&phone storage settings shows total and available space for internal and esternal SD but ...
"not available" for internal storage.
What can I do?
PLEASE HELP.
What did you do to cause that?
If you are following my tutorial you missed something. Read all details.
If you installed xbsall's v28B large, you need to erase internal memory.
But I don't know what you did. Please explain.

Nothing else than I said above.
- connected the phone to pc
- started LG mobile support tool
- When showed there is an update available I pressed the red button "start Update"
- Then try and try. disconnected the usb cable and battery as the LG Support Tool requested ... still same message:"problem in conection to your phone. Even if seconds ago recognized it.Didnt get further than 40% on analizing tab.
Then the same message: "there is a problem conectic to your phone..."
- then I thought to perform a factory reset.
Pressed the tab got me to the bootloader mode where I wiped the cache and dalvik and pressed factory reset.
Pressed the Reboot tab. The phone rebooted normaly but when I tryed to download fx explorer I got the message with no enough space ....
That is all.
Ok, it sounds like possible error in flash. You might try erasing internal memory. Or redoing with LG Mobile Support tool, but I have had trouble using it. Just going from between Froyo and GB was a real pain. It took about 3 tries to get it to work, following LG's instruction exactly.
You can try my tutorial, it should be linked some posts up. It uses LG Flash Tool, not the other one. Or there are other tutorials in the General section that use other tools.
I don't use LG Mobile Support tool.

Same here ...
About 3 tries to get from froyo to GB.
Would you be so kind to tell me exactly what tutorial of yours to try?
And also what soft I need to download for pc since the phone doesnt let me to install anything.
What you mean by "erasing internal memory" ... how can I do that?
Thank you.
First I'd try Mobile Update again to see if redoing it fixes it. Then I mean go into Android system settings/storage/internal memory/erase and see if it fixes it (back up your stuff to pc first, if you can).

Since your last answer I tried an tried with LG mobile support.
Nothing.
From more than 40 times, on 2 times passed 40% on Analyzing TAB and it said my phone has the last software.
LAYER.
The rest of times didnt pass 40%
I tried to erase internal memory but it didnt show the tab "erase" only 0, 00 mb available.
Your tutorial seems pretty hard to me so ... maybe there is somethin I can do from CWM where it takes me after pressing "factory reset"
THANK YOU for your time.
PLEASE HELP.

If you don't want to learn to flash and have CWM, you could install ics by doing 1, 2 (choose 1 option in part 2) and maybe 3 here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39130435
I have NOT tried it that way and I don't know if it will fix your problem. Plus, if you can't use storage I don't know how you will access the .zip(s) in CWM, unless you can get to it in there somehow.
If you do ending up needing to flash, my tutorial is about as clear as you will get as far as LG Flash Tool.

Hi Everybody, I've lost my imei and using the tutty tool I couldn't get it again. If I plug the phone is being restarted... First I had the V21e.
So, I would like to know which rom could I use to recover my imei to make it work. If it's possible a rom which has bin/fls files... Also I need a baseband which works in Uruguay (LATAM). I was trying with v28B but the same result.
My actual version is:
soft version - LGSU760-V30b-OCT-18-2012
Kernel- 3.0.21
baseband-XMM6260
android version - 4.0.4
Do you have SU760 or P920?

P920h
I see your software there says SU760. Are you using xbsall's 'ported ICS?' If so there are new files based on official LG ICS that fixes the bugs that were associated with the ported version. I recommend updating:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819
Also, I don't know what flashing tool you used, but following the above should fix your imei in the process. If not, there are imei fixing guides in General section, I think.
I've tried with this post because you helped me with this problem some time ago... but as I said, this version v28b do the same in my phone
I was using smartflash tool
Smartflash is known for losing imei. Especially if you flashed non-ported SU760 software. The tutorial uses LG Flash tool. If you set it up correctly and flash v28B forP920 it should fix your imei. If not, like I say there are guides for fixing imei.

i just stupidly tried to install a firmware over the air on my lg p920 without unrooting and removing clockwork so now when the phone reboots it only goes to clockwork recovery is there a way i can fix this because i cant take this phone back since ive had it over a year and i cant afford a new phone so i realy need to fix it
can anyone help me fix this i realy need this fixing asap due to not having a spare phone
Not sure if you needed to unroot, but something went wrong, whatever that was... It seems LG's updater is bricking phones all over the place. If you have access to recovery (sounds like you do) you can install the ICS .zip here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39130435
FYI I have not tried it this way myself, but it should be fine. Alternatively, you can flash ICS with LG Flash Tool, just take note of the part about custom bootloader, if you have it.

I tried to update my LG 3D with the LG Official Tool. Was a 2.3 to 4.0 update. Everything seems to be ok, but my phone is not booting up, bootloop is the name for that i think. I repeat the process with no luck. Any ideas?
Use LG Flash tool instead. Updater seems to cause a lot of people problems.

Ok ill give it a shot. XBSA is a custum rom right? Where do i get the Official ICS rom?
The guide puts you to ICS, then you can install the custom ROM if you choose. It's all there. Let me know if you find any broken links; I have not checked in a while.
