[Q] Nexus 4 EUR Wall & Car Charger - Nexus 4 Accessories

Hello!
I want to buy the fastest and reliable charger to wall and car (separately of curse) and I don't care if the cable comes pre-attached or it is only a USB adapter. It need to output 5v 1.2A for maximum performance right? in the place i'm living i got an LG charger that output only 5v 0.7a. so where can i buy a 5v 1.2a wall charger? and a 5v 1.2a car charger? worldwide shipping please.
any other suggestions?

Car charger rating?

I'm thinking of buying a car charger plug with a usb connection to use with the usb cabel that comes with the diamond.
What output rating should that car charger have?
The one I'm thinking of buying has a output of 5V and 1000mA. I've seen others with 500mA but not sure which one to get?
Does anybody have any idea?
Thanks /Sonny
All up to 2A should work! The charging process with 500mA could be slower. But they will all work!
Just calculate, the original battery has 3.7V with 900mA, that makes 3.33Wh.
So the charging process is never at full capacity for optimal charging of the battery.
With an output of 5V and 500mA the charging should last about an hour or 1 1/2 hours. So I think 1000mA should be more than enough.
CouldnĀ“t find any hint on the original output current of the HTC charger, sorry.
Thanks for the quick reply!
I will go for the 1000mA then, same price anyway
Thanks!!
Just found this in the manual
AC Adapter Voltage range/frequency: 100 - 240V AC, 50/60 Hz
DC output: 5V and 1A

Does the Car Charger for TOUCH CRUISE DUAL fit in the Diamond as wel?
Same connector?

Optimus 3D car charger from Ebay

Hi All,
I bought a car charger from ebay for my phone and just had a quick question.
The output voltage on my indoor Optimus charger is 4.8v at 1amp
the car charger is 5 - 5.5 volts and 1 amp.
Do you think it's safe to use, being slightly higher in voltage?
Thanks!
Not an electrical expert here but ...
Considering USB is 5V i would say there should be no problem in anyway at all.
It would just be as bad as plugging it into your PC.
Most car chargers make use of the fact that most phones will charge @ USB power levels.
no problem

Micro USB Charger Output Currents

I have both a Nexus One and a Kindle Fire. Both devices use Micro USB for charging and I'm currently using the wall chargers that have come with each respective device. The Nexus One's charger has an output of 5V, 1.0A. The Kindle Fire's charger has an output of 5V, 1.8A. Is it safe to mix and match these device's chargers? The higher current rating of the Kindle Fire's charger won't kill the Nexus One, will it? Furthermore, I've been looking into a single charger that will be able to charge both devices. I've been looking into a charger that has a 5V, 2.0A output. Will this charger be safe for both devices?
Thanks.
I have used my HP Touchpad's charger which is 5V 2A output on my phone and it charges it just fine without damaging it. I think the phones regulate the charge going into them and it doesn't actually take in the full 2A.
Being an Electronics Engineer i can confirm, It is safe to use, . the current consumption within the amp ratings (max it can supply) of charger is the basic funda.and you can connect if you have 10A rating charger too..but remember the voltage should be 5V only. its must
I concur, don't wanna let the magic blue smoke out:-o
P.S. get a wall charger, they're grrreat!
Thanks everybody!

Car charger

many of you probably know there's a plug with the cable foe the tf300 but i was wondering if one can use a usb adapter. by the idea the output is 1.2 amps and 15V as you can guess its hard to find a car charger to usb like that but there are many 2amp 5V adapters. also i noticed the official asus wall chargers has both outputs 1.2 amp and 2amp. so my qustion is is it safe to use a 2amp 5V usb car adapter to charge the tf300

[Q] can i use a 5V 2A wall charger to charge the infinity?

I was looking at the Asus wall charger that came with the device and the output states 5v 2a or 15v 1.2a.
Does that mean I can use a 5v 2a wall charger to charge my infinity?
Thanks

Click to collapse
No, but it means the Transformer's charger can charge normal USB equipment.
