[Q] How to calibrate accelerometer?

Hello, my accelerometer seems to be off, tilting to the left by about 10 degrees. That is really annoying. I have tried some calibration apps but nothing worked.
Has anybody had any success in recalibrating the accelerometer?
Do you know any app/script to something that i can adjust the damn phone to its correct level?
Help would be appreciated

thanks, but this only calibrates my gyroscope on a flat surface. I am having problems on the Horizontal axis holding the phone up
P.S I think that the calibration does not work on the leaked ICS

It was posed on march, some guy decided it's smart to answer a question that was asked 5 months ago....

God I need to look at dates I guess I normally go with honor system hoping people aren't that dumb to answer 5 month old threads

Well I was helping a friend who has auto rotation problem.. I had opened many tabs related to accelerometer calibration.. when I found solution and I was closing this page. I thought y not help this guy too.. so I didn't see date.. guess if u wanna call that dumb.. fine.. I'm..

Hello im Andy from Austria
I got this phone now since 1 month and its my first
android phone. But i have to say that this is not the phone i expected... It all started when i got the first deep sleep on FIRST day. I thought it would go away after some time but it didnt stop. Then i read this things about flashing etc. I tried flashing many firmwares, custom ROMS and kernels... Nothing helped against the deep sleep.But this is not the only Bug the phone has. Sometimes when i want to call someone i cant hear anything. I have to call like 3-4 times to get it work (very annoying). Sometimes i cant do anything (freeze) , 3g doesnt work , cant boot without putting battery out and in again and even more things. No wonder why the phone got out of stores. Currently im on NeoRom 1.0 . But i read some posts where people got their phone dead randomly, and so i want to revert to default config like i got it from shop. The problem is my binary counter is currently on 4... Is there any method to get it to zero without paying? And another problem is maybe because i have removed simlock from it so i think warranty is gone anyway...
Maybe i try to completly reset the phone and then sell it to someome to get some other phone...
We also dont have any CM and i wonder about this because many unknown phones do have CM... Like Galaxy Y or etc...
It would be better to get some GS2 or GS3.
At least there are no deep sleep issues.

First of all:
Deep sleep is not an issue! It's a good thing, it's the state when your CPU rests and save your battery. The problem you mentioned is called "sleep of death" (when device becomes unresponsive after screen off)
You can reset your counter with USB-jig (if you have Odin protocol v. 2, if you have 2.1 it's a way more complicated))

It sounds stupid.....but did you change the WiFi sleep policy to never ?

i have JuiceDefender Ultimate. I think wifi goes off when screen goes off.

My SGR touch was also not responsive, installed stock rom and took it to service. Now working fine.

So there are galaxy rs that work fine?!
Some said it needs new motherboard. How can i check if i really got a screwed phone?

I agree with pudup . You should visit your service, and explain to them your problem, but even this does not guarantee that you'll get a replacement of motherboard. Maybe you can ask for refund than

Annoying S Note zoom bug :(

Anyone who is right handed has probably noticed the INCREDIBLY ANNOYING zoom bug you experience when writing in Snote after reaching the bottom of the page.
For some reason palm rejection goes haywire in the bottom right 1/3 of the screen if you rest your hand while writing. Everytime you put your hand down to write the screen zooms. Turning on and off pen only recognition makes no difference.
Have no idea how to fix this and am open to suggestions. Hopefully Samsung will address this in their next OTA.

Lock to s pen only at top right corner. Not much else we can do before a new firmware update. I hopefully it's jellybean

Yeah its a bug. Locking the pen has no effect. I'll go to Samsungs Facebook page and post about it. We just have to wait on new OTA.

Oh good its not just me. I didn't remember this being a problem before or after the update but then it just happened. Really upset me to say the least.

on my n8000 it is still not vanished but i trink it improved a bit..

Touchscreen inconsistancy

Hi there,
The tab seems to be inconsistant with pinch to zoom. Formore I have tested it again with a multi-touch app and it seems to drop touches. i.e. 2 touches seems to drop 1,2 touches, 5 touches drops again 1,2
It runs the stock version of 4.2.1, non-rooted.
Is that a hardware issue or software? and is there a way of fixing it without rooting?

1.are you overlapping the touch areas for two figures???if yes them it drops touch.its normal
2.and how are you on stock 4.2.1 ???I think its still not released

I didn't over lap the touches and even if i did
I meat 4.1.2. Must have done accidental strokes when speed typing
Sgs i9000 detects all touches constantly and that runs super nexus 2 4.2.2

Touch Screen Delay (Help)

Hello I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and I love it but the screen seems that after I touch and drag my finger I have to drag my finger roughly half an inch or more before it registers that I am trying to move the page or crosshairs... its extremely annoying and causes more than my lose in games it makes veiwing websites hard because when I go to scroll the page instead of the page moving with my finger it jumps an inch the starts dragging like normal...
IS THERE A FIX??!!!!????

What I need to do is set the pixals required to move to 0!!!!!!
Do you know of something that can do that for the tab 2?

touch delay
Hello i have this problem too in my G tab 2, its more like a dead zone because you need some space for the touch to be registered, its very annoying because i cant aim precise on games, and can you give me an example of a calibration software

I think i got it
I think i found a way to fix this, it's an app called "TouchScreenTune" it needs a rooted device, i didnt try it since my Tab is not rooted but i will try it soon, so when u open it just change the first slider "minimum Movement amount" to 0"most left part" and tap apply and see in the upper part of it works
