[Q] Triumph audio/speakerphone issues - Motorola Triumph

My ex wife is having problems with her triumph and she's stock and mine is on a custom rom, so I can't see the same options she's seeing.
What is going on is when she records video, there is no audio. When she's in a call, the speaker button is disabled and isn't operational. Is there a setting somewhere in the stock rom that would turn off the speaker/microphone? She can make calls regularly without the speaker, so the mic works, at least in a call.
Did a little googling, all I saw was to reboot, pop out the battery, reset to factory. Haven't reset to factory as she has a ton of stuff on it and its not rooted, and I really don't want to spend too much time monkeying around with it.
Anyone have a few quick suggestions on things to try out? Much appreciated!

No sound from AT&T Fuze Speaker

After just a few days using my new AT&T Fuze, the speaker stopped working. I can hear phone calls when I hold the phone to my ear, but when I toggle the speakerphone on, I hear nothing. The music player works great through earphones but when I unplug the earphones, silence. The volume buttons move the thermometer up and down, but no sound (Before this problem, I think there was a brief sound at that point to let you know where to set the volume).
In my futile attempts to get sound, I have soft reset a few times, enabled airplane mode, etc. Nothing helps.
I am running the stock AT&T ROM. I have only installed Live Search, PHM Registry Editor. and GPS Test.
Are there any settings that might cause this? Have others experienced this problem? Please give me some advice. Thanks for your assistance.
Your speaker might just be busted. I've never heard of software killing your speaker, but I could be wrong. In any case, I'd just try to take it back.
That happened to my Fuze once. I don't know what caused it but a soft reset fixed it.
I gave up and called AT&T Premier. They are cross shipping a new Fuze to me and emailing FedEx labels so I can ship back the current phone after I receive the new one. That is pretty good customer service but their computer system must be painful to use because it took several steps and at least 15 minutes for the CSR to make this happen.
I have not yet tried a hard reset b/c I will then need to reconfigure the phone. I guess it couldn't hurt to try now, right? I will advise what happens.

Sound worked fine, then one day it doesn't...?

So I've seen this on a few different ROM's I've flashed, which leads me to believe it's a common problem. I've gone through a few Kaisers (for other reasons) but it happened to each one of them at some point. My resolution was always to reflash but that really sux big time.
So here's what happens: I'll flash a ROM, everything is fine... add my bluetooth, customize settings, add some apps, and basically get the phone where I want it at. Then I use it like that for awhile... could be days, could me months. Then one day, for whatever reason, I turn it to silent, like say when you go to the movies or something, and later when I turn the ringer back on, no sounds work. No more dial button tones, no more notification bleeps, no more start menu clicks, no more MP3's play sound (although they tick away the time in the player as if they are working).
It's really frustrating. I went through all the settings. It's happened on a Dutty rom, his DualTouch V4, which is pretty solid... now it's happening on this Garmin 4.x ROM which has also always been solid for people. Is the Kaiser just a POS, or am I going insane, or are some of you having this issue -- and if so, how do you get your event sounds and music sound back?
Sincerely, and very frustrated.
Never had that happen to me! But i almost flash ROM's daily!
Well this sucks, and that doesn't help me much... i have no sound comming from my phone other than in-call line audio. And I didn't do anything to cause it.

[Q] G2x not making sound?

I just now managed to update the g2x baseband. I did all the steps; backup custom rom, return to stock, remove CWMR, run LGUpdater, run NVFlash, boot into recovery, restore custom rom backup. Everything worked fine until I tried to make a reservation at a restaurant for my anniversary. The woman on the other end was very faint feeling awkward being unable to hear the other person, I hung up. Calling voicemail to test it out, my in-call volume was just low. I turned it up and it was fine. A half-hour later, I called the restaurant again. This time, NO sound. Tried to play music. NO SOUND. Tried playing a game. NO SOUND! MY sound was on and all the way up, but doing nothing. Currently restoring to an earlier backup; will post results. But in the meantime, anyone know what's going on? (No sound through bottom speakers, front cell speakers, OR when using headphones, so a speaker didn't blow or anything).
no idea what went wrong, but after a restore my sound is back to normal. Hope it stays that way.
(MODS: I apologise for this thread as I fixed my problem myself. This thread can be deleted.)
Ressurrected because it's happening again.
I don't want to restore my ROM again.
Running EB 1.8
I have the same issue. However I can not find a solution to this either.

No sound, dialer lag?

So I don't know what's just happened - I don't remember changing anything but as of yesterday, I can't hear anything in my calls, and they can't hear me. edit: There's no sound at all through the headset or speakerphone either.
Also the dialer has massive lag between number inputs.
What is causing it?? The phone is now no longer usable as a phone
I was running InsertCoin 3.3.8 and tried wiping, reflashing, restoring back to 3.3.7, and even tried going to MIUI! Still no luck.
Slight update on the issue:
I noticed that if I put the phone on silent, then the lag in dialer disappears. It's as if the phone is lagging because it can't find an audio output source.

[Q] audio issues

I have a Nexus S 4g running slimbean official 7. It was been great for the last 3 months then for the last few days I have been losing my audio. It's just phone sounds and audio that doesn't work, notifications, and voice calls. Apps, games, slacker or other music apps seem to work fine. Sometime the audio will work for a little bit and then cut out. Like I can usually reboot the phone and the audio will work, but I will make a phone call and hear the 1st ring, then it will cut out and nothing else will work. I can test to see if the audio is working but just changing the volume and see if it makes the been letting you hear the volume level. Once or twice I can get it to start working for a bit by going back and forth between vibrate and ring, but most of the time that has no effect. I can't really tell what makes it work, and what makes it go out. It has been working great up until now, I really don't want to have to factory reset, I really wanna know what is causing this. One other thing is that it seems like several apps get really slow when the audio goes out, like the dialer app will hang and ask if i want to close it, but if you wait it always comes back, same with my launcher and sometimes the system settings if I am messing around in there, it also seems the volume slider is slow to respond when the sound isn't working, but very responsive if it is working. I haven't installed any new apps or made any changes that I know of since this started. I have tried killing and extra apps with no effect, and tried rebooting to recovery and clearing cache with no effect either. Sometimes you can reboot the phone just for the audio to work for a second or two before cutting out again.
Try greenify app and update slimbean. Make a nandroid backup first then restore via Nandroid Manager.
Download+Backup+Flash+Restore takes about 3 hours for me (i got many SMS).
