Nokia DT-900 Qi Wireless Charger $25 FRIDAY 6/13 ONLY - Nexus 4 Accessories

http://mobile.dailysteals.com/
Ordered a white and a black for myself. New with 1-year warranty.

Do you happen to know if they ship to Spain?
Many thanks!

Looks like USA only going by the the States drop down box - no 'other' included.
That being said maybe a few will pop up on eBay with a little bit more of a price increase.

confused as the title says friday 6/13 and was posted today..... but friday is 6/14 ...and i cannot find the deal

I know that a recent update made the N4 play well with all wireless chargers, but can someone confirm this categorically for me? Are the frequent disconnects with the DT900 fixed now?

Ordered one hoping it will work with my nexus 4 and nexus...

I just wanted to chime in on this old post and say that my phone works fine with this charger. It flickers twice when I first put it on, but it sticks after that. It seems to charge at the same rate as my OEM wall charger and cable, but it's hard to tell for sure.

Ymmv, but my experience with this charger and an early (2012 delivery) Nexus 4 is poor.
The phone initially recognizes the charger and begins charging, but soon looses interest and the charging stops.
By contrast, the Orb, which I swapped for this Nokia unit to save space, worked very well.

You can check the revision in the bootloader. But I guess that won't be necessary. The newer version has better compatibility with QI chargers.

Doesn't matter you need to check boot loader. My gf got a revision 10 and ordered this month. Fkn google. She didn't even get the free bumper. They told her to send it back and order again. Fk logic

I have to report back and say that while I don't seem to have a connection problem with this charger, it doesn't seem to give me a full charge. Twice now I've put it on at night, woke up 6-7 hours later and my phone was at 97-98% (still charging). It was on a completely flat surface so I can't image the phone slipped or moved at all during the night causing it to stop charging.

I should have checked my hardware revision before ordering three of these... I'm r11.

I picked one up from the AT&T site. Just over $25 with free shipping. Only have white and yellow left. I'd imagine they will be sold out in a few once this news gets out.

Hi,
Just got one from Media Markt in Germany for 28€.
They had in Blue, Yellow and White.
I took the white one.
My Nexus 4 is on Rev. 11.
The guy at the shop was kind enough to agree to unpack it and hook it up, so we could put the phone onto it and see if it charges.
Well it did.
So now I am at home... it is charging and even pretty fast. Got about 6% in 10-12 minutes, so I guess in about 3 hours I should have a full charge.
The connection seems to be lost every 10 seconds, but it keeps charging.
I'll report further in 3 hours.
Regards.
NexusPenguin
[EDIT] : Same as Daewond3r here : it stops charging when it reaches 98%. Not a big deal anyways, but still worth mentioning... I might give another charger a try...

New phone, dead battery charge

Bought a new Nexus S from ebay, it came today, I tried turning it on straight out of the box but no luck. So I figure it came with a dead battery that needs some charging, I let it charge for an hour and try again, no luck.
How long does it normally take for a new phone thats never been charged to power up?
I'm beginning to worry because when I touch the charger and the phone, neither are hot or even warm.
Mine powers on immediately after a dead battery once it's hooked up to the charger. Was there a battery icon when you plugged it in? Is it possible to find another charger to rule out a bad charger?

Nexus S has no LED. Its just a battery icon that'll pop up on the screen. You can score a battery pretty cheap online. Try that and if that fails, get a refund.

Thanks I'll try that, but do any stores sell smart phone batteries like maybe Sprint, Besbuy, etc? That way I can pick one up today, and not wait days just for a battery to ship.
Have no clue. Best buy might possibly sell them. Not too sure though. I haven't purchased a smartphone accessory from a retail store in a long time.

Guess what? It turned on!
All Saturday I was asking different retail stores if they sold that type of battery but nope or it was like $50+ WTF? So I was leaning on getting one from ebay, but I decided to research and found some crazy idea on youtube.
Hot wired my battery! It actually worked wow.
I don't know if this is a permanent solution so I'll just order a backup battery just for insurance.
Thanks Chronos for all your responses.

Wireless Charger and External Battery Questions--Thank You!!

Not that I am missing questions and answers on this topic. I have seen some here and Android Central.
However I am getting a bit of conflicting answers.
I figured I would ask here and see if I can get maybe 2 answers that agree.
I simply want to know...the Energizer Qi Charging Pad is the best one (by opinion) out there now, until Google puts their orb out ???
With regards to the Energizer, I was told at Best Buy it would not charge with a TPU on. But on AC Forum it said YES, you can leave the case on you have to put it in the right spot.
1. Is that true, you can leave the case on? And finding that "spot", is it a tedious thing or is it fairly easy to lay down?
2. One poster said he would hope that we would not leave the $400 phone charging for many hours. I said, did you mean the Charging pad, or simply plugged into the micro usb, or on a desktop dock.
I don't know his answer. I would assume he just meant the Pad. Would it be bad to leave the phone on the pad, for example, overnight.
While I could hear someone saying that, I would think it would be fine. I think most makers know that overnight is prime time for charging.
3. With regard to my Newtrent external batteries, when full charged, are you supposed to unplug. Or can I leave it plugged in
4. I asked Newtrent if I have my ext. battery plugged in, can I use the phone thru that, if I am for instance working at my desk.
He says he doesn't recomment charging two things at once. I didn't know if he meant anything, like using a a/c to 3 a/c adaptor which wouldn't make sense. Or just the example I am speaking of.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
As far as the charging with a case, mine works just fine. Here's a video I made to show it. Once you know where about to place the phone it's actually a decent area. As you can see I just set it down without tweaking it each time and it works just fine except the 2 times I show where the too low points are.
It charges about 30 percent an hour this way. I haven't left it on over night yet, but when I get another one for my bed room I plan to.

Thanks for the video and letting me see it. As someone said, it is sold out on Amazon. And a friend ordered it for me as a gift from Sears, only to find 4 days later when I called (They did not tell me ) that the order was cancelled. They did not know why. They assumed it was because it was out of stock. (Nice way to communicate with the 3rd party LOL )
Do you know where I can get it. I would get the dual one, but I checked the dimensions, they are pretty big. that is like 12" x 9"
Is the Orb coming out soon?
Lastly, I assume it will be ok to let sit there for hours. How about my ext battery, once that is charged: Can I leave it plugged in?? Can I leave it plugged in while having the micro usb come out to my phone and use the phone the same time. Newtrent guy said he doesn't recommend it I don't know much about it

that is one of the ones I wanted to know. I knew that...I must have had a brain fart and forgot that. Even most of the chargers that come with the phone do right?
So you would get this, it's no pain in the neck, and you would get this instead of a dock
Do you know if by chance the Seidio Innodock would fit. I believe so. I think the one they had on the past 10 phones was the same model LOL
I use the same case and charger. I do not place the phone as high on the charger and it still works. I will also confirm that my charger turns off after the phone is charged. I leave mine on the charger at work.
I found my charger on craigslist. Traded a girl for a Nintendo ds and she paid ME $20! The charger still had the plastic on it.

Can someone confirm the behavior of charging on their QI charger. Does it charge to 100% and stay at 100%, or does it drop a few percentage then charge up again? Mine seems to charge to a max of 97% and stay there, but I have not experimented too much yet.

I decided to use my phone without the case today. I noticed that the phone starts wireless charging almost immediately when I set the phone on the charger without a case. With case it takes a couple seconds usually before it starts. I'll have to do some testing over the next day to see if it actually chargers faster or just initiates the charge quicker and I'll let you guys know.

Something else to consider. With my energizer charger, charging starts immediately when my battery is low, but when it's near full, there's a delay before it starts charging.

Agreed. That is the behavior that I'm seeing as well.
I own an Energizer single charger.
Normal thickness cases will still work. The N4 will charge so there's no issue there.
Just that the N4 does seem to get a toasty charging overnight and my N4 only has a back screen protector on so I just caution to be mindful of that.
Personally, if I had a full case or like a leather/vinyl/thick pouch, I would simply take the N4 out of it for overnight charging just to be on the safe side but then again, I baby my devices so... Lol!

Wireless Charging Issues?

All,
I purchased the Note 5 from Best Buy, yesterday, and received the free charging pad. I used the charging pad for the first time last night while I was sleeping. I woke up a couple of times during the night and noticed that the charging pad was flashing blue and the phone was not charging. I pulled the phone off, waited about 30 seconds, then put the phone back on an it started to charge again. I did this three times and it always ended up back with the flashing blue light. Doing some research this morning, a flashing blue light indicates the phone is not placed on the charging pad correctly. I had try to make sure the phone was properly centered on the pad each time. Has anyone else been battling a similar issue? Thanks in advance.
Yes I had the same problem here and I think that's same solution fix it once I got it centered where the Samsung word on the charger is Horizontal with the Device and I get a good connection everytime

Thank you for the response. I have been messing with it this morning and it does seem to be ok if I really make sure it is centered. I guess it is just really sensitive with alignment. I will see how it goes tonight. With my previous wireless base, it would always have issues after the phone was on it for 4+ hours. I am hoping that is not the case here.
Yeah. I had issues with it last night. It started charging right when I put it on there but sometime right after I went to sleep, it must've stopped working.

I also experienced the issue again last night. It just stops working after the phone has been on the wireless charger for a while. It looks like wireless charging overnight is not an option . Has anyone had success with wireless charging for an extended period of time and had the phone get to and stay at 100%?
I had to turn daydream on. Mine would start flashing blue after the screen timed out. I have daydream set to activate while charging and no issues since.

You have to have something creating a small gap between the phone and the charger, I had the same issue and found the answer in some thread I can't find now. I just put a couple pieces of paper in between the phone and the wireless charger I guess because it works through some sort of electronic field the phone without a case sitting right on top is too close. Either way when I get my case the issue should be gone but put something there and that should do it, mine charges all the way now and it's fast.

Well, I picked up a case today and am still having the same issues .
My girlfriend works for Samsung, she told me the issue lies within verizon's software with the new note 5's, and they are working on an update. Mine does the same thing on a Samsung pad that worked fine for my note 4 with wireless case back. Apparently it happens every time the phone receives any kind of notification, I'm going to place the phone on airplane mode tonight to see if that works. Case/no case is not the issue.

That is interesting. I just stopped by a Best Buy store and talked with the Samsung rep. He said he has the same issues and thought it was a problem with the charger. Best Buy said they would let me exchange it for a different charger, but I may wait to see if an update can fix it. Thanks for sharing!
The problem is using it without a case. The charger is assuming there is a case and if there is no space between the phone and the charger it will stop charging after a few minutes because the voltage is too strong when they are too close. Put a few pieces of paper in between and you should be fine. Or get a case.

I'm on Verizon and mine works fine. It took me a few minutes to get it placed on the charger correctly but it works great. Also, I came from the s6 and it would charger as well but I would wake up with only 80 something percent since once it charges to 100 it stopped charging. The N5 however if it discharges to a certain point it apparently restarts the charging process.
Tried 2 of the Samsung wireless chargers and both had the same problem on the S6 Edge + and the Note 5. The Samsung rep at Best Buy said that the workaround is to put the phone in daydream mode. She said the Note 5 and S6 Edge + go into too deep of a sleep. She said to use the work around or we have to wait for the fast wireless charger to be released.
Has anyone confirmed that the Verizon Note 5 will not have the blinking blue light not charging problem? I haven't seen any OTA updates to fix this issue on Verizon like others have reported that AT&T did.
dja2k
No, I'm still having the blue blinking light on the samsung fast wireless charger (it happens a little while after placing the phone on it). Basically makes the charger useless for now until we get an update. It's a shame because I bought the official Samsung charger and I'm having to resort to plugging in my phone still.
Verizon has never been quick to release phone updates, so it is likely still in "testing" phase....

I thought I saw that too.. But thought I was going crazy. Lol
I'm still gonna get it though.
well ive had the device for about a week and i wouldn't say that i am a "power user" but i do have my phone permanently connected to my pokemon go plus so my normal battery will only last about 6 hours. from 15% the case would only charge my phone to about 80-85% before completely running out of juice. there is no quick charge charging the phone or quick charging the device. I removed the case and charged it separately from the phone and it would take about 3 hours to charge, im using a CYRIFT 18W charger with quick charge 3.0 .
the case seems grippy when you first hold it because of the matte finish but still slides a little too easily out of the pocket, the awkward cut out makes it difficult to use the fingerprint sensor sometimes. but it does make it easier to hold the phone to your side, such as pulling it in and out of your pocket. the seal around the edge of the device where the two pieces meet to encase your phone feels loose as if its not clicking together properly. the volumes buttons require a lot of force to press them, luckily i have longer nails to make it easier to press them. the cut outs for the speaker didn't muffle the sound much, just added a bit of "bass" is the best way i can describe it, haven't done much testing with the mic quality but no complaints from any of my usual callers
at the end of the day it is a battery case that will charge your phone without having to carry around any other peripherals and it will most likely give the average user at least one complete charge

Anyone had issues with the phone charger?

Anyone had issues with the phone charger?
My girlfriend is using an S7 and she has a lot of problems with the charger. Phone is not rooted or any custom ROM. Just stock. I replaced the chargers twice until now. The first one took almost a year to break. This one took like 6 months or so.. Has anyone encountered this type of issue before? All the chargers are taken directly from Samsung.
Charger starts to show signs of malfunction when it's missing the fast charge option or not charging at all. Then it returns to normal. Then in a matter of days the charger is not working anymore.
Phone variant is G930F. I'll attach a screen of Ampere after the last "charging" with the broken charger. It took the print screen after a minute or so. It's hard to keep a girl away from her phone.
P.S. Charger is 100% broken as I'm not able to charge my phone with it, so I just want to know if this is a phone issue or a voltage issue.
Sounds more likely that the phone is damaging the chargers vs you constantly getting bad charger replacements
Had mine a year now with no signs of problems and fast charging still working fine

Yeah thought about the same thing. But I don't really understand how this is happening.

Unless there's a problem with your mains power socket you use for charging mostly / house electrics?

Yeah that is my first guess. I bought a new charger and I'll ask her to use another place to charge her phone.
Thanks for the help!

You should bring it to the service center, and they will check the port for you. Thing is, the port might be bad, and for this reason it kills all the chargers you buy as a replacement. A sign of this if the charger cable gets very hot on the end closer to the port. I mean the micro usb plug itself. But thats one thing, if it isn't happening, the port could still be broken. You should go see if the port is fine. If it is, then I suspect it as a voltage issue in the house, or something. So worth checking that too. Hope you still have a guarantee on the phone. Because then they supposed to fix it no cost. You sholud try if data transfer is working through cable. If not then it shows again, port issue. If you don't want to to use the phone connected to a PC, or otherwise an easy solution could be buying a wireless charger. So then you didn't fixed the port, but the phone will be charging. But first make sure it's not the houses voltage problem, or the wallplug, because if it is, then it can ruin your wireless charger too.
Thats all I can help. Hope it helps.
Regards, and Good Luck fixing it!

Any idea on how can I discretely check the voltage? Me and her are not living together.

Well thats not an easy one. But I don't really think that's the issue here. If she isn't living in an old house, then there is very little chance of a problem with the curcits. You should ask her if she had any random power breaks or such things in her house. Or light bulbs going wrong too fast. But as I said, I don't think thats the problem. It will be the port, I just mentioned the voltage as a possibility, and the thing what you should keep in mind.
So I suggest Her buying a wireless charger, as her phone is an S7, she can do that. But if I were in her situation I would bring it for a check to Samsung, or wherever she bought the phone (ofcourse if she still has a guarantee as I mentioned earlier). To tell the truth, as I see the problem is with the port, and depending on what you said, I don't think a home solution or buying another charger would be enough in this case.
That's why I mentioned trying wireless charging, because thats not using the port. I hope she can get the problem fixed soon. Poor girl without a phone...

Yeah, I would've sent it to warranty if she had any. She doesn't know much about phones so I feel responsible with this matter.
I think wireless charger is the best solution.

Yeah I think so too. And you know. There is the swag in that She can show to friends like: "Look my phone is charging without plugged in" or something like that.
Hope that really will help Make sure to send feedback if you fixed it somehow. I'm now planning to buy an S7, so I hope this is a one-of-a-kind problem.
Anyways Good luck really. If she buys a wireless charger make sure she is buying an original Samsung one, because that has fast charge included, and it will sure not ruin the phone.
I'm the one buying stuff here. Haha. Not interested in second hand/fake/refurbished phones.
She got the phone unsealed with "one hour use before" from a local "dealer". I don't approve this and I don't trust him. Apparently he's a good friend with some of her family's friends.
Still returning a phone after one hour of use is not something someone would do if it was working ok. He told me the other user loves Apple more.
Even though i think the other user didn't notice the voltage issue, as it took almost a year for me, until the first charger broke down.
But i prefer sealed products. Even though they don't have warranty as I flash a lot of stuff.
I'm also interested in buying an S7. I have been for the past year. But unfortunately I had to support my mom with some "donations". It's a damn good phone.
Will write here once I manage to get the Wireless Charger. Thank you for your help.

Okay so hi again! Just a quick update here. Maybe if someone reads later. So I was watching this video for fun:
There is a part of the video where he disconnects the battery. He clearly says that the micro-usb port and the wireless charging part is connected with a different cable. Thus the wireless charging still works, even if the port is broke.
I thought it was good to mention this, I was sure about this before, but here you can see clear confirmation on it. The part in question is somewhere in the middle of the video.
So if you manage to screw up your port, wireless charging will be still functional for sure!
Hope I could help!
