When you are in the Play Store tap the menu and check your account settings. I'd recommend removing and then resigning into your account to see if that fixes the problem. Hope this helps!

Need help sideloading apps

I picked up a useful inspire the other day and I'm having issues sideloading apk's. My 2 other phones sideload fine with the wondermachine but this one wont. It tells me device not found. I've done a few things that I've read online, installed some drivers and htc sync from a website, still didn't work so I uninstalled them all. Btw,debugging is enabled.

After installing the drivers did you uninstall HTC sync? If I recall you suppose to uninstall syn and leave the drivers on you PC when using the wondermachine.
HTC Inspire does allow you to side load now, you should not need the wondermachine.
I uninstalled everything, but only after nothing worked, wasn't aware that I had to uninstall sync only. Could someone send me links for the proper downloads please.
How do we sideload without the wondermachine? I don't see unknown sources in the phones settings, unless there's another option to install apk's.

ATT has allowed you to side load. Under settings>applications>unknown sources should be check off. If you do not have this option, call att and they will push it to your phone.

Did you select the option to use a proxy?
I think you need to use a US proxy as it does an IP check now.

Huge problem with Google Apps

Gmail is not syncing, calendar is not syncing, play store says server error, Google+ is crashing, Google drive work, this started today, I've done everything and nothing seems to work, I reflashed the gapps, reflashed my rom, (cm10), turned sync on and off, went to a nandroid backup from a week ago, and nothing solves the problem, any idea of what is happening? Thanks

Why don't you post this on your device forum and not on the General forum?

Something similar happened on my old phone, if I remember correctly, I would go in and clear data for the Google services framework. Dunno if it will help in your case but it did for me.

Side load APK without it showing in Play Store

Hi all
I want to side load an app which I have the APK for but don't then want it to show as installed on the Play store.
At the moment I have extracted the APK file using ES File Explorer then uninstalled it from the device. I then side load through a file explorer.
But it pops back up in the play store as installed on device.
Any help welcome

Are you rooted? I think using Titanium Backup would work.
Sent from my Motorola Electrify using xda app-developers app
Not rooted and the phone I want to do this on won't be rooted so kind of rules it out.
I have just tried downloading a file from the Amazon app store and repeating the process and when I install that APK it does not show on installed apps. If you search for the app in the Play store it shows as installed however.
I can kind of live with that but otherwise ideas welcome

can you be more clear on what you are trying to achieve ?
if you install any app using apk directly then open that app in playstore then yes it does show up as installed but if you see in the list of my apps(press options in playstore and it will be the first option) then it wont be listed ..
Does it have to be sideloaded? If not, create a secondary google account, install it via that account, then remove the account. Another option would be to decompile the apk and alter the androidmanifest.xml to make it incompatible with your phone. Not that straightforward, though...

Thanks for replies so far guys.
To answer the question above, please basically trying to have an app installed but if the account is looked at using the Play store on a PC it won't show it as being installed.

Pocket download error 941

Having issues downloading pocket. I get error 941. This happens on my Nexus 5 and my Nexus 7. I have tried to do a whole factory reset of both devices. Clear the cache and data for the Play Store prior to that. Anything I can do? When I try to even download it from the web store and pushed out to my devices I still get the error 941. Thank you

Try this once :
Download pocket.apk file from this host below
https://hotfile.com/dl/251876433/93e28f1/Pocket-4.7.2.apk.html
Install it on your phone (allow unknown resources from settings > security menu )
After successful installation , run the app
You can try update on playstore later
