Give navigon a try, its free for australian users, but if you look through this forum you'll see ways to get it working elsewhere, or you can pay for it in the market.its not pretty but does a good job and full offline mode.

..Only downloaded sections, and up to 10 miles per area.
To the OP, Sygic Aura and CoPilot are great.
So download the parts you need. Derp.
If you need to be entirely offline then use copilot live. I use it for work and it is great.

Why don't you just use Google maps?

Google maps has had me lost to many times it loses signal or thinks I'm on a different road especially in metro areas I was in Baltimore last week and i was on the correct route the out of nowhere it started to reroute.
ATT nav doesn't do it but its 120/year

ATT nav and VZ Navigator are basically the same based tele-atlas app I believe. I am not a fan of any gps app that has to have data to work. And I know that google maps can cache maps but it is a feature you need to set up ahead of time and when in need is when google maps usually fails.
Why don't you look into sygic or ndrive? Both use downloaded maps and require no data to use. Sygic is only around $24 for USA and they give you a free 7 day trial before buy. Ndrive also gives you a 7 day trial. Not as good as sygic but still a cheap alternative.
Both available on the market. Sygic uses tele atlas maps and ndrive uses navteq maps. Just FYI.
Thanks for the heads up I actually did see sygic in the market I will download and try out
Thanks again

Or activate Google labs and tell Google maps to pre cache your maps, it's a free option and I can attest to the fact that it works.

Can you let me know how you went about doing that

How 'bout Sygic Aura?
Have you ever thought about the Sygic Aura? There are some sites out there that will let you download the .APK file. Install it & then you just need a WiFi connection to download the maps & presto, your all set. It works great for me.
Good luck!

Droidwall works well. You can't schedule times but it will let you decide which apps can connect on 3g and wifi

But it will not increase bandwidth right? Read the question..

it seems to be a hardware limitation. But in some cases can be improoved by customs roms, etc.
Normally it's already at max performance. Because of this, I haven't There are some apps, but I think they aren't really efficient.
I think it's easier to have a router firmware update than an app to improove wireless efficiency.

Yes but the country that i'm in right now has very limited store

Even if you can bring up the learning hub, if you're rooted it automatically closes "due to copyright", and also as your country isn't supported it will close. Tried by flashing a UK rom onto my note. Has it but won't allow me to use it...
Shame as it would be a good distraction for my young nephew...

On my tab 10.1 i use marked unlocker (removed from android market ) to fake uk provider and enable this apps but you need root
Here itis the app http://db.tt/rh64Cyzu now wating for the apks themself . buy the way what other hubs avaliable on the uk rom
Sent from my GT-N8000 using xda app-developers app
I believe it was the music, video, learning and game hubs. Wasn't really paying attention as was only interested in the learning hub. As it wouldn't work I reflashed back to another rom pretty quick....
set your note's country to another country and switch off your gps not sure if it will work for you but it worked for me
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Well that sux, what happens if you go on a holiday overseas and want to use the learning hub... You have to turn off the GPS, and lets face it, that's when you need it most...
Hello
Which is the best navigation app for Android that takes traffic into consideration. I heard a lot about Google navigation doing this but I tried it for a couple of days and it doesn't seem to be working

Try Waze. It uses crowd sourced traffic and hazard information.

The best GPS I've ever had is iGO and it does consider traffic.
