My phone ( Blaze 4 G 4.04 ) only charges to 75% . Tried every charger imaginable and Ive changed batteries with new, calibrated as best as I can with not 100% showing etc. My problem is that the 75% is actually 100% charged. I pull the battery out and put it in my wife or sons identical Blaze 4G and it shows 100% on their phones. If I charge a battery to 100% in their phones and put it in mine it shows 75% . Battery fresh off the standalone charger shows 75% . I havent found a way to change the calibration of the meter and Ive tried ALL the battery calibrator apps. The problem is that when the battery discharges towards the low range I get the warnings etc even though the battery is actually still half charged. Ive tried everything and no calibrator apps do a damned thing to the meter itself. I wiped the phone with the factory reset this morning and still 75% after the phones been on the charger all day.
Any ideas ? I dont really want to flash a custom ROM as I use the wifi calling feature and no one seems to have figured out how to incorporate that into the custom ROM's out there plus the external SD card ID seems to get lost with the Blaze custom ROM's too.
What do you mean by the external card SD card ID? The external cards works flawlessly in the custom roms. And that's very rude saying, "no one seems to have figured out how to incorporate that (wifi calling) into the custom ROM's," The devs have lots of things into their hands, if you need it so much why don't you figure it out?
The only way to actually wipe the battery stats is with cwm. You can flash cwm with Odin and not touch the rom. Also custom roms based off stock ics have working wifi calling.
But I think the issue may be with your phone, so wiping battery stats/flashing a rom will probably not work, I have seen this on a different devices.

Ive flashed half a dozen ROM's on this phone, my sons phone and my wifes phone. None of them gave normal access to the external SD card. I could play music off them and movies etc but none of the file access programs would open the SD card file directory. Ive seen other people complain about that too. .Ended up going back to the factory ROM to be able to have normal external SD access and to be able to use the wifi calling.
And no, no one has developed a ROM that can use the wifi calling feature. Seems like one of the first things that would get cloned but whatever. I'm just a mechanical engineer not a software developer so writing my own code is beside my pay grade. Only reason I bought these phones in the first place was the integral wifi calling. Not the greatest phones either. My sons drops wifi after 15 minutes every time. Mine won't show a full charge on a full charge and then wigs out at the bottom of its charge cycle. I'll be using them in the trap launcher in 11 months once the contract is up. Pull.

Could you recommend a stable ROM that has the working wifi calling feature? None that I have tried would allow for wifi calling. I gave up trying a few months ago when the factory ICS came out and my CWM got blown away by Kies. Of course my new laptop is windows 8 which isnt playing well with Odin. Gives me a reason to boot my son of my old win 7 desktop. He spends too much time on those computer games anyway.

Got nothing to lose so lets try yet another ROM. I couldnt find a copy of blaz3r . seems as though the link is dead. I did reroot the phone and get tweaked installed. Its going through start up now. We will see how it performs. Thanks
Well, that didnt work. The meters stuck at 77% yet actually fully charged. I do like the tethering and hot spot capabilities of the new ROM though.
Ok I suggest flashing a jellybean rom. And for the external sd card issue you've had it's under storage and sdcard1. Try it it's going to work. It's not inside external sd in sd card. I recommend using root explorer going storage/sdcard1

The external card access didnt work with CM10 and a few other jelly bean ROM's Ive tried. Yes, I tried all sorts of ways to access it through file explorer programs.
As far as charging, the factory ICS ROM was working fine until a few weeks ago. My wife and sons blazes work fine with the factory ICS ROM.

No go on the jelly bean. Same thing. Charges to 75 % or so and the battery dies completely within 4-5 hours. Called up T-mobile and I'm 1 day past the warranty period. Oh joy.

The external and internal sdcards work in every JB ROM that's currently available on xda for the blaze. The reason you can't find them is user error, not the ROM. Solid Explorer makes it really easy, but if you just want the file path to both its /mnt/sdcard and /mnt/external_sd
Try 'su cd /mnt' and then 'ls' in the terminal emulator or with adb shell and they'll show up. Then you just have to learn how to use your file explorer software of choice.

Did you ever find a solutions (or explanation) for this? I"m having the exact same problem, and have tried rrrrvrything to fix it. Infuriating. Mine stops at either 20% or 75%.

Got a way to fix this ?
It is the battery? Did you try changing it?

changed everything a few times including the battery. Most it will get out of any battery under any condition is about 3 hours. Thats with zero programs running and no use or screen activation. Most any battery will charge to is 75% and they start dropping like a stone once charged. Right now it just stays on the charger as my garage music player.

I bought this phone from my local AT&T store on the day that it was released.
Since then I've had several issues with this model.
The one that I bought at the physical store would not go longer than 40 hours without locking up entirely, forcing me to reboot. I fought it for a long time thinking that it was an app I was using. By the time I determined that it was a hardware problem, I was past the warranty period and processed the phone as a warranty exchange.
The exchanged phone worked better but after a week the screen started to display as if it had no red (so everything had a green tinge to it). I actually had to fight support to get it replaced on time because the phone that I had already sent in wasn't done being processed. Also during this time my replacement did lock up once or twice but I didn't know whether that was just something random or whether it was a hardware problem.
The second exchanged phone does show better uptime but still I have had trouble going a few days without having to reboot due to lockups/sluggishness. AT&T has replaced my SIM card and I have since also figured out that my SD card wasn't working correctly.
I think that covers the background of my experience, but I wanted to share the following and get thoughts/comparison. I ordered a 32GB class 4 card and left the 8GB card out. While waiting for the new card to come in I noticed a huge difference in responsiveness and stability. This includes smoothness of transitions and uptime (having no SD card I went more than 100 hours of uptime for the first time since I purchased the phone).
After I installed the 32GB card, I have noticed that some of that smoothness and stability has gone away. It's not QUITE as bad as I remember from the 8GB card, but it's definitely not like it was. I also briefly experienced the "green screen" issue like on the prior replacement (thankfully, a reboot fixed it).
I'd like to put together some benchmark results. Could anyone here recommend good comprehensive benchmark software (beyond just CPU & memory tests)? Is anyone willing to perform similar benchmarks (one set with SD, another without SD)?
[[add]] I forgot to mention that the performance problems seem to get worse the longer that it's been since it was last booted. Which is part of the reason that it's taken me so long to troubleshoot, since I was convinced that it was some kind of memory leak. Also this phone has only run either stock, infusedv1, or infusedv2, behavior seems to the same regardless of whether it's stock or infused.
Wow, I've had none of those type of issues. Not at all! I've had a 32gb card from the day I bought it, transferred from my Captivate. Never seen any drop in performance.

And you're running on stock rom? I experience the green screen you talked about, but also a red, blue, yellow, pinkish, beige type, and I'm sure other colors. Not joking, other people have experienced it too, there's a thread on it.

Yeah I'd be willing to think that it was an app except that I've also had the same issue running vanilla stock with no apps installed or accounts linked (on the device that I bought from the store).
Would you be willing to do an experiment and see if you notice any performance benefit when your card is not installed?

I experienced both the green screen and the performance problems on stock with my first replacement and was unable to fix it. It was warranty replaced as I had mentioned. From my experience in PC repair, it was exactly what I saw when I had a bent pin in my VGA monitor connector, so I presumed it to be hardware after returning to stock didn't fix it.
I've only seen the yellowish tint on my phone, happened 1 time and never again after that.

I was running miui but switched back to stock for the Bluetooth issue... I ran quadrant standard benchmark test before and after... I only hit 932 with stock rom and with miui I managed 3194 as my best number... I don't know how good quadrant is for benchmarking but even outside of the numbers it was way smoother and faster with miui... never experienced any of the negative things you have though

I'm running the stock ROM but rooted with CWM along with a PNY 32GB Class 10 microSDHC:

I have not experienced any problems. Unless you're installing applications to it I don't see why the external SD card would cause slowdowns. I know the OS does use the internal "SD" storage space but not the external SD. Have you tried formatting it with the phone? Odd indeed...

I can't say that I've tried that, I do have all my apps installed on my internal card, in fact since I got the internal card, I've been able to move all my media file locations to the external SD, making sure that I have room for my apps on the phone.
I had considered a class 10 but from what I read, there's no advantage between a class 10 and a class 4 due to the apparent bus speed limitations.
I'm still hoping to see if anyone saw a performance benefit from not having their SD card installed.
I'm willing to give formatting it a try if my problems continue, but that will probably be in the same effort as moving to a new ROM. Bluetooth is rather important to me as I've stated but if Zeus has it working I'm willing to have a look one weekend soon.
Thanks for the input.
I have had nothing but problems with this phone. It was my first Android device and it will be my last. I had an iPhone ever since the first one came out about 4 years I guess. I never had a single problem with it. Never not once.
When I first bought this phone I loved it. And it stayed that way for about a month. After the first month things started going downhill quick. The phone started freezing up and I thought I had to many apps running so I started killing the ones I weren't using. Well it stopped freezing as much then it started resetting itself at least 3 times a day. I was on the phone to get an exchange and I dropped the phone and cracked the screen. I didn't get insurance and had a case ordered. It came in the mail the next day.

Same thing here: Tried Zeus and MIUI, both are excellent roms (MIUI in particular surprised me), and both benchmark way faster than my stock Rogers Gingerbread rom...but outside of that they don't really offer much more in terms of everyday use, stock rom isn't any more bloated, and it runs just as smooth. Battery life is about the same too in my experience, so I just went back to stock Rogers ROM.
So I've switched to Zeus, and while I've got to say it's a noticeably better experience than Infused, I'm still having stability problems. I'm unable to keep this thing going for more than 2-3 days without a complete lockup.
I'm just not sure what's going on here. To reference my original post, I feel that it's disk-related (just from the way that the device behaves in general).
One thing that I've noticed is that under LogViewer, I see frequent occurrences of this:

You mentioned backing up to Google. I actually use my personal zimbra server for contacts so that's not a concern, but you bring up an interesting thought.
Is titanium backup known to be harmful? I've been using it to backup/restore app data ONLY (in other words i install the app from market/amzn then restore data to the app and manually set the system settings) after flashing anything that's been rooted.

That's a bad thing.
Occasionally, after flashing a rom, while restoring apps with tibu, strange things like app fc's or apps disappearing -greyed out or soft boot.
I assumed that it is due to corrupt tibu or back up.
I would reflash the rom after thorough wipes and download new apps and new tibu.
I NEVER restore data with the app. That's just asking for trouble. The stored data is on a different system.
Just the fact that you've restored data in itself, is prolly your problem.
I've assumed that restoring data is such an obvious NO-NO, that everyone who flashes a custom rom would be aware.
idk..i could be wrong, and it can be done, but I don't restore data...only google contacts
I've seen similar recm...restore apps..NO data
Inspire 4G with Jellytime as my current rom. Ever since I've been running ICS and now JB I've had issues with my batteries. After charging the battery fully, whether in my phone or in an external charger I boot my phone and when it starts it shows no battery power and automatically shuts down. If I boot into recovery I don't have that issue but the battery level still shows zero. If I boot with the usb plugged into the computer or AC outlet and plugged in the phone it will start fine but it will show zero battery until I unplug the usb cable then it will show 100%.
I have a second Inspire and it the same thing so it isn't specific to my phone. I have not seen this on a GB rom on either phone. I have 6 spare batteries (my son has an Inspire and his does this sometimes but not always), 4 Hyperion and 2 htc batteries. Sometimes with the htc battery the phone will boot normally.
It does not happen on a Gb rom? Have you tried that after the issue began?
I am assuming you are full wiping.
Format data/data factory reset.
Wipe dalvik
Wipe bat stats (just in case)
Format all partitions except sd card.
Does it happen right after a clean flash? Not downloading/restoring any apps.
Try booting without the sd card.
Have you tried cleaning the contacts? I think you mentioned it also happens on the other inspire. Are both running the same OS and apps?
Try it with only the htc batteries and not the hyperion.
After this, no idea.
Edit: I believe there was a post several months back with the same or similar issue as yours. Can't remember if it was in the Q&A, general or over the dhd forum.

Format data/data factory reset. - Every time
Wipe dalvik - every time, 3 times
Wipe bat stats (just in case) - Every time, agreed, just in case
Format all partitions except sd card. I have formatted the partitions although not every time, made no difference.

Have you tried cleaning the contacts? I think you mentioned it also happens on the other inspire. Are both running the same OS and apps? I have tried cleaning the contacts in both the Inspire and on the battery, both phones have had the same OS and issue along with different OS and the same issue. Essentially the same apps, could be a few differences in apps though
Try it with only the htc batteries and not the hyperion. I've done that, sometimes it boots normal with the htc battery but not every time, sometimes it boots normal with the hyperion but it fails alot more often than with the htc battery. This includes new and old batteries.
Edit: I believe there was a post several months back with the same or similar issue as yours. Can't remember if it was in the Q&A, general or over the dhd forum. I think that was me, I've become more frustrated so I posted again
I'm also going to try booting into GB and ICS in Boot Manager to see if the same thing happens.
thanks for the help!
It sounds as a software issue related to ICS/JB only. Very odd.
To simplify the testing, try existz rom. The last one I tested was br5t2 and the reports for B5 sound good.
You know what to do, but boot without the sd card (if you have anything in the sd card).
I would wipe everything. Shut the phone off. Pull the battery, wait for I don't know... An hour? Watch some tv, spend time with your family then flash the rom and booting without the sd card. You can try this if the normal procedure doesn't work.
Heck, if this doesn't work maybe your two inspire phones don't like ics? Perish the thought.
Are you using cwm or 4ext? Shouldn't make a difference.
I'm just throwing ideas out there.

You can try the battery calibration app from the android market... my inspire 4g is running ice cold sandwich and the battery works even better than on the gingerbread stock rom by at&t... i used the battery calibration app because initially i got about the same battery life.

If that rom is causing issues have you tried Virtuous infinity alpha3 with the inspire patch? its ics based and tho its still alpha stage it runs amazingly on my Inspire 4G. Also get ram manager pro its under $2.00 and helps your phone run much smoother. hope this hellps. http://rootzwiki.com/topic/30873-virtuous-infinity-v1330-alpha3-general/ you can find it all here.

I am assuming you are full wiping - Always a full wipe, no exception, dalvik wiped 3 times
Format data/data factory reset. - Every time
Wipe dalvik - every time, 3 times
Wipe bat stats (just in case) - Every time, agreed, just in case
Format all partitions except sd card. I have formatted the partitions although not every time, made no difference.

When I flashed ics on mine and then tried to restore apps,( from when I was running gb), my phone would freeze and reboot several times, I since reflashed ics and put fresh apps on my phone and it runs great. If your backed up apps were from when you had gb, then they are probably doing that to your battery.
Hi everyone,
I'm having overheating issues with the custom ROMs put up in the forums here. It's really frustrating because I love the interface but I can crashes and overheats pretty often.
I was running a rooted i727r with official ICS, I used ROM manager to flash to paranoid android ICS and JB, I also tried liquified (I think that;s what it's called) and everything runs great except I sometimes get overheating (up to 45 degrees celcius) at which point the phone just shuts itself off. And the worst part is that the battery gets super drained when that happens. I have done nothing to trigger and has happened when it was in my hand as well as in my pockets when in sleep mode.
I don't want to run official ICS, so if there is a solution, I'd be really grateful!
Also on an unrelated note, I can't get swype to work on these custom roms, does anyone have an idea?
Thanks in advance!
Use clockwork mod or twrp to flash and if you haven't yet, try your roms with the stock kernel.
Don't use rom manager and do some reading.

ROM Manager can and will brick your phone if you use it to flash ROMs on a Skyrocket. Read up and learn before doing things like that.
Stay on stock rooted and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't, switch to a TW-based ROM and use the stock kernel. If your phone is still cool, then move with caution into AOSP territory (which seems to be where you want to go) and consider UC'ing/UV'ing AFTER you've read up on them and understand the possible side effects.
my phone gets hot sometimes, but usually when i'm browsing for a while. doesn't seem to be overly hot though but definitely hot to the touch

I don't mean to sound defensive, but I've read all the stickies...they tell me how to do things, not WHY to do things (kinda like a recipe book). I might be ignorant in the technicalities, but I know my way around following instructions. Telling me to just READ is not helping me, telling me WHAT to read or WHERE to go is better, and I'll be glad to read.
I took your many advices and flashed back to the semi-official ICS using the CWM recovery. The overheating and crashing problems are no longer happening, at least not during all of today which is a good sign in my eye. I still don't have an indication why it wasn't working when I used to the ROMs provided in the development section. I follow the instructions to the tee and I still had the problem (even when I used the CWM instead of ROM manager pro).
I was having severe heating probs. I never let it get so hot that it autoshutdown but I'd do it manually. I found that there was a serious wakelock happening and even while awake media scanner was going nuts. On it's own it just chewed up the battery but combine a high useage app with media scanner and the phone got hot. I ended up doing a stock rom install via Odin, reformatting my ex sd card. It's been good ever since. You haven't been using Zedge by any chance??

No it wasn't installed because I loved the roms built in ringtones but I did notice that it was taking longer than usual to read the media from the external sd card...do you think it had something to do with that?

Could be. Try pulling everything off your sd card and put on your pc. Format the card and put everything back on.

It is the Media card...a couple of my friends have had the overheating issues on their devices. I would suggest formatting the media card on the PC as previously stated. If that fails then try another SD card since it could just be the SD card.
Thank you all, I will give this a try and report back!

I will opt to say that it might be more related to how you are using the phone.
I've ran plenty of custom roms even OC to 1.9ghz but the phone will get hot no matter what with heavy wifi usage or talking I must say.
With that said, the custom rom will most likely not help unless you aim for roms that aim for that kind of purpose.
Others may beg to differ but that's my 2centz.
Alright, so I did what some of you said and disabled the media storage at start up. The crashes and overheating are fixed! But, now I can't see my pictures that I stopped in the external sd card when I'm browsing for them through my files or through the gallery. I can, however, see them through third party file browsers. It's there a way that I can at least see them them in my gallery? I tried f5 but it didn't work.
Thanks in advance

I've never had any major problems with my Infuse since I got it.
The battery is getting weaker but I bought a 2600Mah USB Backup Battery and that gives me another 7-8 hours for about 13-14 hours of use.
To make a long story short, I unlocked for use in Mexico City on TelCel and had some issues, so I returned the phone back to stock, unrooted.
Since that point however, while it would occasionally freeze before, its become a daily thing now and really bothersome because I can't even stop audio from playing via bluetooth. The touch screen becomes unresponsive and only a soft reboot or a hard reboot (removing the battery) returns the phone to a useful state.
It seems I have to do is every couple of hours now though, so I am posting here to get some suggestion on how to fix it.
Its been two years already since I got it so I am eligible for a new phone, but this one continues to work well besides this issue.
Thanks

1. your microSD may be going bad
2. if you haven't done so, back up all your stuff and try a factory reset...this may erase all existing info and bring the phone back to day#1

I mentioned that in the post, I did it while in Mexico City. It worked fine until this week, late last week. The battery only gives me about 5 hours now with just 32% audio playback and about 10% web access.
I guess I'll order a Anker battery from Amazon.
I rooted the phone again last night but before I did that, the phone became unresponsive three times in an hour. Which microSD card are you talking about? I just bought a 32GB Class 6 card and that works fine, I play all my audio from it, no problems.
If you mean the internal microSD card, that could be possible. I assume I can crack open the phone and replace this easily?
I should mention it never does that while plugged into a power source, so maybe this is all battery related.
Possible Fix...
When I had to hard reboot the phone again this afternoon, a little forced closed window came up for TwLauncher.
After rebooting the phone I looking at Titanium Backup and cleared the cashe from TwLauncher and that seems to have solved the problem.
Somebody on here mentioned that after installing a ROM they had the same problem, was worth a try.
I will report back if the issue returns.

My personal beliefs are that TB is good for causing a lot of problems.I used to use it,even bought pro,but even not restoring data when restoring apps I seamed to develop odd quirks or problems on about any ROM. Since not using it have much fewer problems.I am sure many people love it and think it's great, just thought I would give my $0.02
if your battery holds a charge...that is, it's letting you run the phone for more than several hours, it's unlikely to be the battery.
lags are usually due to apps misbehaving, media scan, wakelocks and wifi bugs...there are some others.
a factory reset ...complete reset..complete stock..will let you know if you have hardware of software issues.

Thus far, that issue has not returned. Yes the battery holds a charge, but last only about 5-6 hours now, not 7-8 hours.
It seems it was a minor software issue. I did a factory reset, you keep missing that.
I did it in Mexico City (7 days ago).... Since that point and returning to the US, I have put my apps back on the phone. I had already updated to Gingerbread and it just reset to that.
I won't know more until I am out and about with my phone. I will be watching various auto racing events and don't plan on leaving the house this weekend.

No problem, I've never had a problem with TB. I updated the rom to a rooted version of the AT&T Gingerbread release so I could even use it... lol
The phone was rooted for Froyo, I downloaded the AT&T Gingerbread from Samsung via Kies when it was released and it remained rooted.
But resetting it back to stock, TB didn't work until I put the rooted rom on the phone.

Exactly...you had to use TB or another restore. If you used TB on froyo and restored on GB or vice versa, you may run into issues.
and ...sigh... I did not miss the fact that you stated that you had reset the phone. I just had doubts that you understood what I was trying to say...from inside the phone..under settings/privacy..there is a reset option. make sure everything you wanted is already backed up. reset it..then put it into download mode and use one of the odin or heimdall package and flash it back to complete stock...run it stock and dont back up anything. download only apps from the play store or side load the apps if you had the apk's.
check the battery use to see if you have wake locks or android OS or android system eating up for battery..then you will know

Well like this, I will not go into the details but somebody else put Swipe Lock on the phone and of course I didn't know what he put into the phone. I was trying to resolve data issue on TelCel.
I had to do a hard reset outside of the operating system. Since the ROM was already upgraded to Gingerbread but unrooted, it went back to its unrooted state meaning I couldn't use TB.
So I re-downloaded apps from my memory. All of them are free so it wasn't an issue, just time consuming.

See above.
I used download mode to get out of Swipe Lock. I never used Swipe Lock, a-hole wanted to charge me 120 pesos ($7) to wipe it and put it back to stock, I wasn't going to do it, I know enough about Android phones to do it myself.
Oh well, lesson learned, I believe wiping the cashe from TwLauncher has solved the problem.
I did re-install all the apps from the store. I wasn't able to use TB until Thurs night (5/16). I noticed the errors Friday afternoon, wipe the cashe and no issues since.
Hey guys,
It has only been three months since I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, and I currently have a few issues that really are bugging me out. I will bullet them out to make it clean and easier for you guys to read and figure out.
ALSO -- My phone is rooted, rocking a custom rom (AOKP JB Blaze 4G: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1989825)
1. Every time I take a screenshot, picture, download something, or just about any piece of data, my phone for some reason saves it all to my internal storage device, which is barely 1 GB. I have a 32GB MicroSD card, and bought the SD card with the intention that I can save all my data to that, never having to worry about my 1GB internal storage getting full. Is there any way to fix this? My phone is rooted, rocking a custom ROM, and I really don't see how this can be an issue. Can someone help me to fix this issue? I am a real noob when it comes to stuff like this, so I would appreciate detailed instructions!
2. My phone currently has an issue where every time I get a notification, the 4 LED touch-buttons on the bottom of the phone start blinking. I prefer it to not blink at all (as I would instead like to save precious battery life).
3. Even though its only been three months (less than a month with the new ROM) I noticed that the battery life is not too amazing, it drains out REALLY fast for some reason. All I really do on my phone is web browsing and visiting a social media app (facebook, twitter, etc...) and that's really it. Is there a way to possibly fix this as well? Could it be the ROM
4. When I drive, I often use my phone as a GPS, and what's funny is, even though the phone is plugged in (and technically charging), the battery drains out. I don't know how that is possible, as the phone is plugged in and charging through my car. Could it just be that this phone was never meant to be used as a GPS? Or is this another problem that can have a workaround to?
Anyways, that is my list, I'd really appreciate your help to solving all those issues, as I use this phone as a daily driver, and need all of the phone's functions working without problems.
Thanks!

Im new here also as of today. Im sorry your having issues with your phone and the rom. I have been doing alot of research on this phone we have as Im still stuck on Gingerbread. I just went off contract from Tmobile and recently rooted it. Getting ready to upgrade the rom.
I have read in some posts that the JB rom did have some problems with recognizing SD cards. Seems to me that I read that this was changed in a later release. I wish I could find that thread again and show you but it escapes me. Is this a stock ROM for JB that you are using?
I do have a question for you. I want to upgrade from gingerbread and thinking CM10. However, I do have to make sure speakerphone works. Any problems there?
I would guess at this point that you should try another ROM.

How exactly would I flip the external and internal SD card? I am unaware of how to do this by all means.

Ok, Most likely the vold.fstab file lists the mounting points for the phones filesystem. It will probably be a text file and I would suggest making a backup copy before modifying it. Otherwise you could really screw things up.
I have not viewed this file yet because I dont know of the exact location yet. I found a link but Iam a new user and not permitted to post it. Do a search for vold.fstab and you should easily find a link for editing it.
Basically, Your going to edit the fstab file and change the settings for mounting the sdcard. I would think a reboot of your phone will probably be the last step.
Hope this helps, From one learning to another

Sorry for being late on this one, I am in the middle of exams and have been really busy.
Is there any sort solution to this that is newb-friendly (step by step), would be awesome to use my external SD card for its full use.

In the previous page wollieburger posted a link to edit the correct files. A really good guide (one post) on how to do it.

When I am changing the input from 0 to 1, the file is unable to save.
EDIT: It works now! Thanks for the post, and apologize again for being so late on this!
Sorry for the multipost, but I was wondering if someone can still help me out with my other stuff I am trying to figure out:

You should be able to disable the flashing LEDs (also known as pulse notifications) through the display settings.
I'm not certain if there were device settings in the 4.1 era.
Battery life on 4.1 was garbage. I could only imagine the GPS drain.
4.3 had the best.

The GPS navigation on the blaze takes a lot of battery. If you have the phone plugged in the battery won't drain as fast as compared to not having it plugged in.

To be honest, I never had a battery life problem on 4.1.2, one reason is I didn't use Google Apps (I had gapps package installed, but the minimal package), I also followed this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357417
If you like push notifications from Gmail and other Google dependent apps, ignore that thread. Otherwise, it will improve your battery life. The other reason was I never ran cm10. I ran @thomas.raines ParanoidAndroid 4.1.2. Imo, the best cm10 based rom the Blaze had. But that's MY opinion. He's taken down the link, maybe you can try and chase him down and see if he'll re-upload it for you...
