I have a tf 700 32 gb. When i open the camera , it begins to flash by itself. If i hold still the flash will stop. But if i move ever so slightly it will keep flashing. It does it in flash mode and auto flash. It will only stop if i turn flash off. And the same for the video camera. The light will just stay on. I have already restored the tablet and that didnt help. Is there any way to fix this without sending it in?
Turn off auto focus. See if that'll do it

No problem. The actual problem is there is a setting that turns flash on when you focus. That's the real culprit. Turn that one off and you can turn on focus again and not worry about the flash

I would love to know if this is possible too. I know it would be a massive drain on the battery, but I charge mine almost every day so it's not really a problem.
Go to Settings->Connections-WLAN Settings->Power Mode
And there uncheck the automatic power off!
Oops, should've looked a little more thoroughly Thanks for that
Here you go! This will give you back the option in Applications\Development have your phone stay awake while it's pluged in.

donno. I will talk with phidelt and i will see if it will.
Very cool. If you want to play it safe, download the StayAwake app from the Market. Doesn't give you the option back in the menus, but it allows you to choose in the app whether or not to keep the screen on when plugged in or not, or to keep the screen on all the time (don't know why you'd do that, the battery would be dead pretty fast).

I (and a few others) have already tried this, so if you don't want an extra app taking up memory - use this mod, it works great .

It's something that was previously there and was removed. He just added it back in. The reason a developer, or anyone, would want to do this is because while you have your phone plugged in to the USB cable and are working with it, your computer, and many other things at once, it gets annoying having to keep turning the screen back on and unlocking your phone.
As for killing your battery, if it's plugged in to the USB port and charging but still going dead, I believe you have a problem with your phone. While charging, you should never lose battery power..... that's why it's called charging.
The app has the option to keep the screen all the time, regardless of it being on the charger as well as just keeping it on while on the charger. What I meant is that if you have the screen on all the time and aren't charging the phone the battery is going to die in a pretty short amount of time. I really missed that option in FroYo, so I'll probably flash this when I have a chance to. Thanks to everyone, it's really nice to get this back in the OS options.
This is a handy thing for those who use there phone as an alarm clock. Screen stays on so when you wake up you just have to look at it to get the time vs. Looking for it an fumbling for the lock button when you half a sleep.

It doesn't seem like anyone else has had this issue but when I flashed this mod I could no longer access any of the settings menus they all would cause a FC upon opening. I restored a backup from before I flashed this mod and I could once again access settings.

Really someone did this for the fascinate? I wish I knew that.

So basically, I was in the middle of texting, and my phone lost vibration. I was on cMiui.
I tried using one-clicks back to stock, but the problem lingered. I also tried different Kernels before that. I have no idea what to do about it, can anyone help me?
Also, sorry if this was asked+solved before, I was looking but I didnt find anything related to this, and I'm a bit frustrated as well.
Calm your pretty little face.
Do you feel little vibrations? If so shake your phone while its off.
If you don't, try and shake it but I don't know if it will come back.

No problem, happened to me once, mark the thread [Solved] by editing your post.
If you don't want this occurring again you can disable keyboard vibration but it should happen rarely. I really suggest you turn the vibration off if your a type really fast with the keyboard, plus it saves you battery!
Well, it's been fun. My Q was sitting on my lap instead of the seat next to me, and decided to go flying into a glass of water.
I was using it for navigation, and the damned thing worked - got me back to the hotel. I shut it off, threw it in a box of rice... But it seems like a lost cause.
The phone turns on, most of it even works - I can see the screen, it connects to data, accelerometer works, vibe works, alarms, notifications... all work. But the touchscreen critically does not.
I was thinking, just replace the touch screen... well the USB port doesn't seem to work anymore either. It charges, but only occasionally does the computer detect anything is plugged in... and it doesn't know what the heck to do with it.
So I'm going to try and find a Q for sale... although somehow I doubt I'll be able to. Swappa has 0 lol.
Not sure what I'll get, but I am going to miss this small but tight nit community. Cheers!

But of course, there are lots of other nice phones out there! Thanks for all you have done for the community!

Do you not have TEP? I actually just got a replacement due to my touchscreen crapping out (it would work sometimes after a reboot--or several reboots more accurately, but even then sliding the keyboard out always instantly made it stop working).

No, I had TEP a while ago but let's just say they always managed to find a way to screw me. Got sick of it, and my last phone didn't even qualify for it...
That, and the whole voided warranty thing made me think it's really not worth it. Although in this case they would probably treat it as if the device was stolen, and make me pay the $100 deductible, or whatever it is now.
Looking at what it is going to cost to get another phone, I might just end up grabbing a Q on ebay. I really do like the physical kb, and there's really not a whole lot of choice out there (like I didn't know that already, lol).
We'll see. Since the thing still turns on and functions, I'm going to completely tear it apart when I get home and see if there's something obvious.
I know it doesn't last long, but has anyone found a way to disable the splash screen every time I plug in my phone? Ain't nobody got time fo dat.
So this mean you havent had any gfs yet right now right?
I suggest that you just should visit your psychologist plug it in unlocked.

How long does your last? Mine doesn't even last that long to be noticed, literally what seems like seconds. I am not trying to poke fun or bash you in any way, but didn't realize it lasted that long...to be considered an eye sore.

it's not long. Like I said, I'm impatient I guess what my problem is, I mount the phone on my motorcycle and plug in the charger. When I turn my bike on, I want to open google maps and check traffic going into work. Once the bike turns on, the splash screen comes up, and I have to sit there and wait for it, before I can do anything. You're absolutely right it's only a few seconds, but it's still annoying me, when I'm trying to get to work, and have to sit and wait for the (totally useless) screen to go away before I can do anything.
