Hello,
Is there a way to run Android applications on an iOS?
I'm asking because I keep hearing about how Android is java-based so I though it might be possible that someone ported a java-based platform that can execute it on the iPhone.
It would be handy to be able to develop applications for Android and then just have them execute on an iOS platform if the users so wished.
Hell Friends,
I was reading some of the threads in android s\w dev ,in which it was suggested to go with first C\C++ + Android SDK for solid foundation for long term app dev.
I am also leaned towards c\c++ but not only for android dev(focus is more on the app that later can become platform independent across different mobile os's(android, windows 7,blackberry,iphone)
Now considering the architecture and related api's and resources with these mobile OS's including android NDK (Native Dev) for c\c++ (On a sidenote , how much transparent NDK is in comp to SDK , and , can we take 100% utilization from the NDK of android system and services to build apps in c\c++)
-What all the set of resources(tools) and environment
you suggest i should use that would serve the purpose for the dedicated path?
anyone with some experience in this ^
Cheers
I've already started developing apps for the Android platform and was wondering what was the next best mobile platform to develop for? I've downloaded the bada SDK but have had some problems with the emulator as I get an error trying to run it.
The iOS SDK requires Mac OS X and I have a Windows PC, I know I can run Mac via a virtual machine or dual-boot but then I would have to download the large 4.3GB iOS SDK. I heard somewhere that Windows Phone 7 Marketplace got shut down, is that true?
Hi all! We have started back on our project, UserLAnd (userland.tech), which is an easy way for people to have Linux distros or Linux apps on your Android device. One of the things we are trying to work on is developing access to apps that currently aren't available on Android through our platform. For example, we have just launched a GIMP app (which is the actual GIMP!) and also desktop Firefox (here is a link to all of our apps in the play store - https://play.google.com/store/apps/dev?id=8617260147938950881)
Anyway, I wanted to get some ideas from the community on what apps we should consider pursuing! Let me know and thanks in advance!
I'm interested in running a window emulator on my Android device to enhance productivity and multitasking. I would like to know if there are any recommended window emulator apps available for Android and how to set them up. Specifically, I would like to understand how to create multiple windows, resize them, and switch between different apps within the emulator. Additionally, I'm curious about the compatibility of window emulators with various Android versions and device models. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
You can use a virtual machine manager like Adronix, and use VNC Viewer to connect to the VM.
@Ceisero
you can run Windows 11 ARM on any Android 13 phone if the Windows 11 hardware requirements are met.

While it's not perfect, you can still download and install Windows 11 on ARM-based devices.
