[Q] Wallpaper issue - Asus Transformer TF700

Can someone please tell me how to fix this wallpaper issue. The wallpaper does set on full screen size. I changed many wallpapers but it always sets like this.

set it with the ASUS Live Scenes

I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ridgelineapps.simpleimagewallpaper. To each his own, but I like the options and fluidity.

Nice thanks dude it works

Does this happen on all launchers? I found in nova launcher if you keep screen orientation to default this will not happen. I believe this also happens in apex launcher after booting up the tablet and a simple solution was to rotate the screen.
I would say a universal solution for this with out using 3rd party apps would be to play with orientation settings for launcher and/or rotating the screen

It happens if you just set a static picture. If you use the ASUS MY FRAME in live wallpapers then it sets and changes with rotation perfectly.

[WORKING] LauncherPro with BLUR app drawer (and maybe widgets)

I take no credit for this! Thanks to TBH for bringing us Gingerbread and Fede for an awesome launcher!
I noticed that you can have the best of both worlds..... Launcher pro with the Blur app drawer. You may already know this, but it was new to me and I thought I would share. All the details are in the vid.

Where did you get that lock screen? Is that an app that replaces it or did you theme the framework apk to look like that???

It looks like Widget Locker with a theme.

It's widgetlocker
cool, I was wondering about this; thanks
BTW, this works for ADW as well. I just tried it.
I got this problem where if I try to add shortcuts to my screens (any of them) Launcher Pro crashes... (using the latest unlocked version)
Running a rooted and deodexed 2.3.3 if it makes a difference, at any rate I got around that by long pressing the screen and adding shortcuts through that menu...
Also had trouble finding the "default" app drawer icon so I took a screenshot and cropped it via photoshop...

Hack an app to force into landscape orientation?

This might seem like a silly question, but it's worth a shot.
I have a XOOM. It has an Otterbox. I really don't like using it in portrait orientation unless it's for a game (like Temple Run.)
Instagram is a perfect example. It's the most annoying app to use on a 10.1 inch Android tablet. It's not just that it's in Portrait all the time, but that it also decides to switch back to landscape for various tasks, like commenting on someone's photo.
So, I want to know if there's a way to fix it since instagram is obviously still oblivious to the way Android devices work because they come from the world of people who do everything in portrait mode (including shooting video, which is the most annoying iOS quirk in the world.)
So, can I:
1. Hack the app somehow to make it rotate with the tablet?
2. Use another app to force other apps to use Landscape orientation?
Thanks.
Rotation locker on the Play store.

Thank you both! Going to try them out now.
Wow. Temple Run is the bee's knees in landscape mode!

Yes, it is possible.

Modify GEL icon grid without messing up icon placement

As you can see in the screenshot, after modifying the DPI to something more realistic and not comedic, the UI adjusted perfect except it didn't center the all apps icon above the home button. I'm wondering how this could be fixed through maybe a mod or something.
I do not want a new launcher that doesn't have Google Search built in. Its not the same stock experience. Any idea what I should do?

Depends what you are trying to do. Are you trying to get more docked icons at the bottom, or the main grid on the launcher. Basically, what I did is I changed my DPI to 439 (wanted 445, but notifications get cut off in the pulldown bar). This is ideal for me and gives me an app drawer grid of 5x6. However, the launcher grid stayed the same, so I used the Launcher Tweaks settings in Gravity Box to customize the launcher grid to 5x5. Now, I still only have 4 apps in the dock tray on the bottom (plus the app drawer icon in the middle), but I do have a 5x5 grid on the homescreen. It looks like it came from the factory this way.

S8+ suddenly has weird lines around most app icons...

I just got a new S8+. Great phone. I've been busy setting it up, and suddenly I noticed all my app icons have weird white lines around them. This is not the "icon borders" that can be turned on and off, this is something super weird. (see screenshots)
Even more strangely, the line-drawn-box doesn't appear around every app icon. Netflix, Chrome, Firefox, and some other apps are "spared".... but most apps icons have this weird icon around them.
I'm using Holo Launcher, but it happens with the stock TouchWiz launcher, and in the default theme. I checked accessibility and I don't see anything turned on in there.
Anyone know what this is and how to fix it?

After some more digging, it seems to be a bug between Samsung Themes and third party launchers like Holo and Nova.
I was able to fix the icons by setting to default theme, then going to settings - apps - app manager - holo launcher, deleting both cache and data, then force quitting Holo.
If i change the theme, the problem comes back.
Unfortunately, activating "max battery saver" enables a theme and triggers the problem.
Yes, seems the Samsung OS is sensitive to icon framing and other corruption from non-Samsung sensitive theme'ing.

Annoying bugs after updating to Android 10

1. Sometimes applications after being killed stay in the task manager and hang until a new application is opened.
2. In the dark, with the minimum screen brightness, with the dark/black wallpaper set, a grey bar is visible at the top of the screen.
- This is a software issue, because this is only visible on the home screen and when you drag application icons around the screen, this bar disappears.
- Probably related to the effect of dimming the screen at the top and bottom by the launcher.

3. Dark mode for some reason darkens the entire wallpaper on the home screen.
Normal/Light mode:
Dark mode:
There is a setting in the wallpaper settings that you can toggle on and off the wallpaper to follow the dark mode rule.
Not sure on the other issue

I searched the settings and didn't find this option.
Could you show me where it is?
My apologies. For some reason this appeared in the note 10 page...
