Definitely! I have AOKP so it might be a little different depending which AOSP rom you have. Settings-> ROM Control-> Navigation Ring-> And just change whatever you need to change from there

I do not believe so. The lock screen resembles the AOSP lock screen but I believe the ROM is still TW.

That's most likely it. Try out dashclock though. It doesn't have what you want but good is it gorgeous.

You could always use dashclock or you can download Widget locker which lets you change / customize your lockscreen in various ways.

Hate to be the party pooper but Dashclock is for JB 4.2, Jelly Beans rom is 4.1.1 so this app will not be available for download.
Try this; System Settings/Lock screen/ Lock screen options/ Shortcuts
I haven't changed any of them yet, but I found the menu.
Hey guys!
I would like to share with you a new update of Settings Extended app before it is pushed to Google Play. The app allows to put setting toggles to the notification bar, it is very customizable and supports multiple rows of settings, if needed.
It would be nice to have your feedback on it. The app is optimized for phones and 7" tablets. Bigger tablets will be supported soon too.
Thanks!
Sergej
have a try!thx man!amazing!

Well, when you click it, it opens an activity displaying a torch (which isn't necessary at all). When you disable the torch then with your notification (to turn it off), it closes and then opens the Torch activity again.
It would be nice if:
1) Clicking the torch (in the torch activity) toggles the flashlight
OR
2) No Torch activity
Btw, do you have a working torch on all HTC devices? I am a developer too, and I can't get it to work on some of them.
If you want a code snippet or anything as an example I can send it to you.
I copied my flashlight code straight out of the AOKP ROM Source.

Edit: Nice app/update btw, I'm kinda jealous now!

In all my apps I use self-written code for the flashlight. It looks very similar to the one in AOKP/packages_apps_Torch. On HTC phones there is built in flashlight which I start. I only use my flashlight in case standard flashlight app cannot be started. By the way, your flashlight doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus. It flashes once and then switches off immediately.

Thanks. I spent quite a lot of time to make everything working smooth. Now it's a time for real "Quick Settings" comeback

Just try to launch activity with package "com.htc.flashlight" and class "com.htc.flashlight.FlashlightActivity". If it is not there, launch your flashlight.

I cannot change GPS directly because it is a secure setting. Android protects it. That's why a shortcut to system settings is available only.

That's true, but for that I need a rooted device. Once I have another device which I can root, I will definitely try to add more options for rooted devices too.

There's a couple ways to do this. The first way, which is what I do is to use xposed+ gravitybox for expanded desktop + PIE controls. You can add a toggle in your quicksettings to turn it on and off at will. Here's a easy guide I put together for it- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554592
Another way also uses xposed but it uses a module called App Settings which allows you to set immersive mode on a per app basis. You can download it from the xposed installer app.
Both methods require root but work on the stock ROM.
So I had CyanogenMod 11 installed for a while and whilst I much prefered it to stock android I am a big user of the camera and I couldnt stand the CyanogenMod camera so I have gone back to stock.
Whilst I am mostly finding stock completely useable, one thing I am really missing is CM's option to expand desktop.
So I am wondering if there is some img that I can flash to give the phone this feature without having to install the whole rom?
Thank you.
Bump
Search for xposed framework, then follow the instructions to install. Reboot. Download GravityBox (can be downloaded from within xposed app) and activate it. Reboot.
Expanded desktop is under display tweaks in GravityBox, and there's even pie control in status bar tweaks.
Don't forget to thank the devs

+1. I use this method on both of my phones and it works beautifully. There is also an immersive mode option in gravitybox but I much prefer standard expanded desktop + pie controls.
I wrote up a semi detailed guide on how to set it up- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2554592
Thank you very much to both of you, much appreciated

Thanks for the guide. Do you have any idea how I can automate this in tasker for stock 4.4.2 rom? (i.e. auto immersive mode / expand desktop for specific applications) I have tried enabling it via secure settings, but it complains about my rom.

You know, I never got into tasker so I can't help you there, but there is an Xposed module called App Settings which allows you to set Immersive Mode on a per app basis. It's a must-have module, IMO. You can download it from the Xposed Installer app.

Samsung introduced CSC features since Android 4.1, these hidden features let carriers customize stock Roms for their customers.
This application let you explore all those hidden features and activate them on your stock Touchwiz Roms.
App features:
Explore all CSC feature by categories (Phone, Contacts, Camera, Email, MMS, Calendar, Lockscreen, Voice, Launcher, Gallery…)
Auto backup and reset per CSC feature
Auto backup and restore of all stock CSC features
Search by CSC feature name and category
The CSC features list is NOT a static hard-coded list
Download.
Notes:
☆ Some features descriptions can NOT be clear (Samsung annotation)
☆ Please avoid changing any feature value unless you what it does
☆ This application has been tested on a Galaxy S5 (TouchWiz Lollipop 5) and Galaxy Note 4 (TouchWiz Kitkat 4.4.4), but it should work on any Samsung device.

As i said the CSC features names are Samsung ones not my own translation, so if you don't understand what a key should do, just do NOT touch it and post it here, maybe someone can explain it.

this is just great.. It might turn out helpful in those using Korean Stock Roms where there are several limitations...
Wanam, your contributions are all practical and worthy... cheers:highfive:
Amazing app. Thank you. One thing: I try to activate desktop view as default changing false with true and, after a reboot, it didn't work. I have an n9005 with stock odexed 4.4.2 ugng1.
@wanam when we search clock etc we find alot of options but we should put number/word can u update with optional like number/word means like 1/true or false etc mate & thanks for this useful App

Maybe because this feature is checked only the first time you open the browser, try to clear its data.
Note that some of those csc features may NOT work as expected, Samsung keep adding new features but some them can be still broken, and some old ones that worked on older devices may aslo become broken (ex email black/white background).
So if any of the features did not work no need to blame the App.

Actually it is NOT possible, Samsung store all the feature as hash table of String, i still can do some inaccurate parsing and detect the type of filled ones but there is no way i can get the type of an empty csc feature, that's why i prefer to keep it open type.

You now have a toggle option for camera shutter sounds, neat!
Wounder why they kept this really usefull option hidden?

Probably because some jurisdictions require the shutter sound and it is technically "illegal" to disable it in those places. I'm sure someone somewhere would blame Samsung for making it too easy to commit such a crime!
Thanks!
I am able to disable camera shutter sound by setting "TRUE" on Camera_ShutterSoundMenu
