i'm planning to buy a usb otg cable that coonnecrs pen drive to my device
but iwant to know does the usb cable work with my galaxy tab 2 p3110
im running dark fantasy 2 with agni kernel 3.0.31
plz tell me will my tab will work or not with otg cable
and also will a 3g dongle will work with my device using this otg cable

Hey abhi,
Yes, otg cable with work with your device. Download an app from the play store called stickmount(root only) or you buy the cable, insert it into the charging cum usb port and connect a pen drive (no root). And i have an otg cable but i have used only pen drives and hard disks with it. I THINK that tab 2 does not have 3g dongle support.
P.S - I am an indian too.

Yes.. keyboard, mouse, external hard disk, pen drive and i was wrong the 3g dongle also works.

Can u please provide a download link to your kernel.
If hav the file not the link then maybe you can upload it to dropbox or somewhere else ajd give me the link...

Have some of you got this controller working on the r ?
I have tried almost every app for this purpose but the only thing I've got is to make it recognize the wiimote but the app crashes after a second.
They speak about problems with TW...
Is it possible to use any other controller? Ps3, Xbox...?

if u have otg cable than give it a try by connecting slr camera etc. try to discover its working or not.

It does support.... I've tested pendrives, wireless mouse, card readers... all of them worked
But it didn't recognized my P&S camera...

No offense but i think u should give links for the downloads or atleast give credit to the original devs.

He has not yet given up. In the latest post he said with some changes in the modules we can get it working... :good::laugh:
he frndz here is usb otg that helps u to mount or unmount usb device without typing any busybox command, and it just need working molules 4 witch our devs are working......bt 4 me a simple micro sd card reader(pendrive type) is working....

wait a miniute...!! For you card reader is working...??? How u set up all usb connections...? Tell me in detail buddy. It will help me so much.
sir i do following steps-
place modules in
/system/modules
and
/system/lib/modules
for modules cradit goes to "vivekkalady"
then i use xperia s usb otg cable and this otg helper...
then sucessfully mounted usb card reader...

have u tried a pen drive?? And most important do u use any external power source.

with your method, can i mount a flash memory and open it at phone???
i think nobody intrested in beats audio, everyone wants usb otg. i have already tell my steps to vishal sir, bt i will definatly update this thread with steps and screenshots.......in night. now i have to go to enjoy frndship day with my frnz....

Just plug in a Micro USB in your phone... If you don't have one buy one. (USB to Micro USB)

Almost every Samsung phone comes with a USB charger now.
Connect your phone to the usb port of the PC using the usb charger cable..

is there anyway to root it since usb port wont work?
i ve seen smthing about poot-debug but i have no idea what to do.

The only method i know is by flashing the superuser zip file. But u need a custom recovery for that.

just buy an another cable or use any other (micro USB only ):silly:
