Here's the response from Spigen. I am not surprised at all, they shouldn't be allowed to market these as customizable unless they offer them...
Thank you for contacting Spigen.com Customer Service Department.
Glad to hear you are enjoying our case!
As of now, we don’t have any definite plans to make the Neo Hybrid frame avaialble for purchase for the S4. However, if there is increased interest from our customers, we may change our production plans in the future. Please check our website, facebook, and twitter pages for any updates time to time.

Figures, I had to buy 2 cases so I could get different frames. I really want the slate one so its either I buy a whole new case, ebay, or they actually live up to the "CUSTOMIZABLE" advertising.
I wonder how close the eBay knockoffs would be to fit that.
What's the point of them being changeable if you can't easily replace them?
Having to buy a whole new case does not make it customizable. Its just that... a new case. False advertising if you ask me. That said I'll still buy one. 1 and only one. I don't see the need myself to have a dozen different colors or styles. I'm not a girl and I don't care about it matching my outfits so I just usually by one maybe 2 per phone and its usually spaced out over months before I get the second one. Just my preference.

I bought an eBay knock off in hopes they'd be compatible. The volume/power button is part of the TPU on the fake while on the authentic it's part of the frame.
I'm going to say they won't fit unless you do some adjustments yourself.
Sent from my Ancient Atrix 4G.
All I can say is contact them, If they see demand they will offer them. And I agree, they shouldn't get to market something as customizable if they aren't going to offer the frames on their own.

Don't give up hope guys. When I was on the iPhone 5, that's what they said about the Slim Amor about selling the back plates separate. But then again that was the Slim Amor and not the Neo Hybrid. Maybe if we bug you them enough they may consider it. Wouldn't hurt to try
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
After a hour on the phone they are sending me a new TPU to replace the one I have now(warping issues from heat around camera lense and flash, which they specifically advertise that this case will not do). I also was able to get a whole new neo hybrid case with a different color polycarbonate from the one I own now for 40% off. People who have a issue with TPU warping and that they advertise this case as customizable without selling the polycarbonate bumper seperately NEED to call and complain. Plain and simple the way that this case is presented on Spigens site is bait and switch. Supposedly in the future they will be selling the polycarbonate shell seperately but until they see a demand they will not sell it solo. Make your voice heard if you want something done!

Their idea of demand would be 4 million buyers im sure
I agree with most of people here. If they don't sell it separately frames why they have the ref numbers of which frame on the site. And why on the case ad says it can't be change. And I'm not a girl but I do like to change frames colour because I get really bored if I stick with the same many weeks. I have to change. It's me sorry. If they don't plan on sell it separately they shouldn't put the the separate frames ref on the site

I can't seem to find a case listed anywhere that says it fits the GS4 with the wireless charging back on it. Has anyone seen any listed anywhere?
I'm not interested in the third party hack solutions to getting wireless charging working with the stock cover. I already ordered the official one and I'm just trying to find a case that works with it installed.
I saw one guy in other topic on this same forum the one about cases and wireless charging say that he got a tpu case and it fit fine.

I tried to soldier through that thread, thinking there would be something in there, but it had gone completely off the rails for pages, talking about modding the existing back cover for wireless charging.
I have a Cruzerlite TPU case, but somehow I doubt it will fit. It's snug on my GS4 now.
I think he said it was a diztronic black tpu case or how ever you spell it.
I know he said it fit fine he had a link to Amazon in the post too

There are reports that the diztronic does not fit well with the extended battery and a glass screen protector though. Also the Diztronic eats edge to edge screen protectors.

I don't think you will find one with a perfect fit, tpu, silcon or soft rubber is your only chance.
no company is going to make a case especially for the wireless cover, the market is too small.

The wireless cover is just a add on accessory or a gimmick to most people, most people who choose wireless feature for the S4 prefer to use the third party receivers, being thinner and uses your existing cover and works with most cases.
As for cases that accommodate this cover, even samsung have no intention of releasing one.

Please show me conclusive data that supports your claim that "most people" prefer modding their phones as opposed to using the official accessory to get wireless charging.
Was there an official poll conducted by a reputable company to determine this? Did you personally survey an unbiased sample of the community? No. Your preferences are not automatically everyone else's preferences.
People will buy the official accessory and manufacturers will make cases for it, just like they make cases for phones people don't even buy.
And if wireless charging was such a gimmick, it wouldn't be included on an increasing number of phones, like the Optimus G Pro that I'm sending this from.

You do not need to mod your phone for third part wireless receiver, and I don't think we need to go in detail about actual claims or data, there are a few threads on wireless charging, just read through the whole thread.
Please indicate where you have the information that cases are being made for them, or any companies that have the intention to make them.

So the entire foundation for your claim that "most people" want to use third party solutions is a few threads on XDA? Got it.
I forgot that the people who post on XDA represent the entire customer base for a product.
My claims are based on common sense. Manufacturers make cases for phones that barely sell (Kyocera Echo, HTC First, etc) and they make cases for variations of the same phone from different carriers (Galaxy S II, etc), just as they will the Galaxy S4 Active and any other variations Samsung releases. Someone will make a case specifically for the GS4 with the wireless back, or something that's universal and I'd be surprised if it wasn't more than one manufacturer.

I not here to create a argument, but just to show my point of view on this situation, looking in the pass, official extended battery were very popular with S2 and S3, but no companies have bothered to product cases to accommodate them,
The life cycle for samsung to release a new galaxy phone is like every 6 months, whiles the S series is like evey year, I don't think companies will spend time and money on this.

Yeah, I got a little carried away. My point was that the GS4 is still going to be one of the most popular phones of the year and their flagship until this time next year. I'd honestly be surprised if a case manufacturer didn't make a case to accommodate the new back. If it was some other phone, like the Optimus G Pro (which doesn't get anywhere near enough love), it wouldn't surprise me, but the GS4 is basically the iPhone of Android now. All apps are developed to work with Galaxy phones first, and it gets an insane number of accessories.
I don't even like my GS4. It lags and stutters and pissed me off. But I'm sure it's still selling plenty.

Don't forget we will have the S5, S6 and so on, these will always be a best seller, any add-on that makes a phone exterior bigger than the actual phone will have little support for protection from other manufacturer.
I believe we will have one soon.

I am currently using a spigen neo hybrid case with the oem wireless charging battery cover. Nfc works as does wireless charging. There's a slight buldge in the rear tpu but that was expected. The front is still pretty much normal and still sits a few thousandths of an inch from the spigen tempered glass plate. Just make sure you center the camera and flash when you install the tpu and the housing pretty much will lock it in place.

I have the OEM charging back and it works with a CIMO TPU case, although not perfectly. the sides do not come up all the way on the sides but it holds on the corners and will work until the proper cases are made. For $7 on amazon...what have you to lose? Also have the OEM Samsung protective case + and it does not work with charging back.

Do a deeper search than I did and I bet you'll find more. Most of these seem to be the extremely bulky case types, which don't interest me personally. And to the OP, I've had a kickstand case with my last two phones, and last two tablets, and I just can't go back to a device without it now. So thanks for starting this thread.

I have found that many of these are preproduction images, so I wouldn't rely on the current pictures to show me anything more than a rough idea of what the final product will generally look like. Several product images have already changed on Amazon's site.
Wait until the middle / end of October for all the companies to get the products finalized. This forum already has several threads with replies from manufacturers saying designs aren't final. They are just trying to ensure they get their piece of the pie on early and preorder case dollars when they list products this early on Amazon.

Doesn't it make it wobble when flat? Looked cool initially but I think it's a bit weird to carry 24/7 on such a nice phone. And I doubt it last forever if constantly removing it.
Thanks anyway though
I haven't received it yet, but I know that I will be using it as a kickstand, so what's the relevance of "lying flat"? It looks like if you stick it above center, but still out of the way of the Imprint sensor, it should sit on a table/desk at a very convenient angle in either orientation...

Hello All,
It seems to me that none of the big boys in the case market don't think there is a market to make cases for the Nexus line of phones (5x/6p).
I've sent emails to UAG and lunatik, a facebook message to Otterbox and got the responses that there is either no information or no interest in making the cases for these phones.
This is a call for you to bug those companies to show them there is demand for good quality cases for the Nexus line of phones.
Once the reviews come out there will be more demand but for now let's make some noise and email or flood the Facebook pages to let them know that we want the cases.
If we can show them there's people who will buy them maybe they will get their head out of their asses and put in the effort
Post who you have emailed and update with responses. With some luck and effort, we might be able to change their minds
There is a similar post in the 5x accessories forum. if we are to get anywhere we need to work together

Diztronic: Cases coming over the next couple of weeks
UAG: [email protected]

Incipio: [email protected]
Spigen: Cases coming over the next couple of weeks
Cover up: [email protected]
Lunatik: [email protected] (these cases are beyond durable and sexy as hell)
Love Mei: http://www.lovemeicase.com/index.php...mation/contact (knock off of the company above)
If I'm missing any companies, Please let me know and I will add their contact info
Maybe post some links to their email addresses and FB pages?
Edit: links are up, sent one email to each, will send another round in a few days.
gonna create a list in the second post
if you know of any emails or fb pages, please post
Also maybe we should all focus on one manufacturer for say a week for instance. All if us, as a whole, Just bomb that one company for a week or so. Not literally bomb them.... Send emails i mean. Lol
Fired an e-mail / DM to each one of those linked in the second post.
One message to each from each person will work, as long as they see there's interest and the numbers to make it worth their while

This is beyond stupid. The consumer should not have to contact these companies with manufactured pleas for their product.
If they choose not to appease the Nexus market then so be it, several more will rise to fill in the gaps.
Verus for example has already produced several gorgeous cases while it took Spigen weeks to not only come up with contradicting email replies, but a product as well.
Use your wallet, and don't be a tool to these companies.

I just discovered a US-based company called Carved (www.carved.com) that make wooden-backed cases. They've made cases for the Nexus 6 and 5 in the past, so I sent them an e-mail asking for one for the 6P. Some of their designs are really quite unique; I'd definitely pay a premium for something of quality and made in North America.
In other words, I'm asking people to e-mail these guys with requests, too

Has anybody had any experience with them?...anybody recieved a free case in exchange for some social media reviews? I've been offered a free case.... They want to paypal me the money to order it from Amazon. I thought that was kinda strange... Why wouldn't they just send one? Too good to be true?

They're trying to tap-dance around the fact that they're expecting a Quid Pro Quo (a free case in exchange for a favorable review):
They're giving you money instead of the case,so they can technically say it's not,as you're buying it with your own money.
Yes,you're under no obligation to post a rating of any sort.
But,what they're buying from you is for the review to be listed as a "Verified Purchase",giving the appearance of an unsolicited/no-strings review.
If I were you,I'd report what they're doing to Amazon.
Show Amazon the correspondence you've received.
Yeah, you'll be out of a "free" case, but,JMHO,it's a small price to pay to help keep the reviews honest & legitimate.

Yeah that's a shady way of doing business man. If you really do make great products, let your product speak for itself but making it good quality.
Have it and ita good not bulky too
I actually own 3 of these cases. I was just doing research on maybe getting an S10 for my wife, and the first thing I checked was if ArmadiloTek was going to make a case or not. While looking up info, I realized I never left a review on Amazon. Obviously, if I bought 3 of them, I like them, but people don't get to see my purchase history, so they wouldn't know I'm a fan. I just uploaded this review on Amazon.
BTW - For the price, I think it's hard to beat. Also, if they offer a free case to someone hoping for a review, they are also taking the chance that someone who's not willing to spend $20 for a case is also the type to bash them online for silly things. Unless they are actually soliciting a "Positive" review, giving away a product and asking for a review is pretty normal. Especially for a new company. I've been to plenty of restaurants and bars that offer instant coupons if you go online and right a review, or they give you something free for filling out a survey.

Now I can write a real review after actually using this case, everyday, for more that 4 months. I bought 3 Note9's in September because they were so cheap. I also bought 3 different cases. All 3 cases had built-in screen protectors.
Immediately after getting the cases and comparing them, I ordered another ArmadiloTek case for my 11 year old son's Note9. That was the phone I was most concerned about having protected.
About 1 month later, I had to order another ArmadiloTek, because my mom wanted a stronger case and a kickstand.
In total, I've purchased 3 of these cases in different colors. They are awesome! I've dropped my phone a few times, and I'm sure my son has dropped his plenty. He rides his scooter w/ a Note9 hanging halfway out of his pocket. None of the phones or cases have any damage.
This is definitely my go to case from now on. Not as bulky as other rugged cases, better price, and they work amazing.
I hope they continue to grow, so they can offer more covers for other phones. My wife choose a S9 because she didn't want a large phone. Her case cracked the first time it fell and the case is all scratched up, because it's not an ArmadiloTek case.
I got one of these today and have a question for people who have one.
is the screen protector on yours TIGHT against your phone display cause mine isnt. when I tap the screen I can see and hear the plastic protector hit the screen.
Is this normal or do I have a defective one? (and yes, the peel offs are removed)

It's normal unfortunately. Any device that has a built in plastic screen protector will do that unless you find a way to have the device firmly and stiffly up against the front if the case. You can try filling behind the device with small flat sheets of paper cut out to match the device shape on the back. Adding a rear glass protector may help. Just not sure how much it would though.

thanks, makes me want to think about removing the built in one (the website has info on how to hair dryer it off) and buy a hard plastic one.
the case is awesome though, especially for ten bucks shipped
