i would post this in andromadus thread in android development, but i´m not allowed to, cause i didnt post till now. maybe a mod could move it to there....thanks in advance.
I noticed DSP Manager randomly turns off the eq using headphones.
no not right, DSP tells it´s turned on, but effect is missing, no changes turning it off and on again. but it will randomly turn on again sometimes.
i´m having this problem since build 18 i guess, but didn´t mention because i never did a system partition wipe to update the rom.
Now, with build 22 I did a complete wipe.
The Issue stays the same..
I found posts about DSP Manager not working at all, and post about missing eq sliders, but nothing about it working properly, just turning off sometimes..
besides this, no problems at all with this build, not even heavier battery consumption mentioned often..great rom.
You use Flinny's CM10.1 with Andromadus kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2031694), don't you?
Well, I noticed similiar issues (tried only b18 yet) with headphones attached.
To my experience, Apollo is a damn thing - it randomly crashes. After a crash DSP is not working well, closing and restarting the DSP Manager sometimes solves the problem but not always.
Also, Apollo randomly opens if I enable the option to open music application on headphone contact. It looks like it is an loose connection but not on hardware side.
Do you use Apollo, too?
yes, both times.
flinnys cm 10.1 build, and apollo.
Apollo runs smooth so far. i did not see Apollo as problem part here, because its just the sound changing heavy..
i will try another Player to see if it changes...
thanks for your answer...

I noticed i had this thing only happen when i flash JB roms (works perfect on ICS).
Whenever I'm playing music from any player (Apollo, Google Play, Music, Sony Player) it works just as it should but the weird thing is whenever i stop/pause any MP3 track it stops like it should BUT for only 2 seconds then continues to play for another second THEN it finally stop.
I tried flashing different JB roms (CM10, Codename X and such) and they all do that but ICS w/ Sense works just fine (last rom was KingCobra 1.5). Also tried rebooting, closing DSP manager, close all players then trying each separately without other players running, no dice.
Has anyone ever encounter this before? This is really the only problem, well a minor annoyance, and this hasn't happen with older JB builds from October. Is it the November builds? Someone throw me a bone (a metaphorical one) please and thank you in advance for reading my first thread.
AT&T One X Rooted, Unlocked on CM10 11/14 w/ TWRP.
Just an update:
The song actually continues to play in the background but in some kinda of muted mode.
It's like this: Music plays > I hit pause and it completely stops for 2 seconds > then it starts playings automatically but you only hear the first second of it > then it goes into some mute mode where it looks like it stopped but it's actually playing but no sound > you hit play and it gets unmuted but the timer of any player starts to move where YOU paused it, not where the part of the song actually is.
Well I'm kinda shocked I didn't get one response so far, not even a basic 'try rebooting/wipe/flash/check X settings/stop X process'.
I decided to go back to sense based roms for now and currently using ViperXl (which is the best sense based roms I've ever tried so far) and the problem is non-existence so maybe in a week or two after more JB roms get updated I'll give it another shot.
When I do decide to go back to JB I'll make a YouTube video of it so you can see first hand what I'm going through. Cheers.
I have also had this problem. Noticed it with RebelMOD and CyanogenMod. AOKP works correctly but has mms sending bug that I can't deal with. Didn't notice it when I had AOSP roms a while ago, maybe it happened when CM10 nightlies stopped for awhile because of the compiling issues. Sorry I don't have an answer but at least I know that I'm not crazy.
Same damn problem here on my EVO LTE. Sense with ICS is perfectly fine but CM10 has this issue.
Hi there, this is my first post on XDA. :good:
First of all I want to say thank you to Sentinel196 for his work. The Sentinel ROM is very good for battery life.
I can't post on the ROM thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2268064), my issue is:
I'm using PowerAmp player and while streaming the audio happens that starts to lag (already tried to set the priority of poweramp on maximum and the audio cache bigger than normal); then the UI is totally not working even not turning on the screen with the power button. I only have to take off the battery and restart.
Once happened also that I had to re-flash (after having that issue) the rom after a full wipe (and backup from recovery was impossible to restore) because the boot was on the "samsung galaxy s II" logo all the time.
I have no idea, I used PowerAmp with HTC HD2 ICS and with samsung i9100 stock and CM10.1. Never had any similar issue apart with this rom.
Thank you

It may be something to do with the way the ROM is compiled (using Linaro toolchain). Unfortunately as a developer, it's impossible to offer support for every single app out there.
It may be worth trying a different kernel. If you say you aren't having problems with stock CM nightlies, maybe flash the kernel out of the latest nightly. It should work with my ROM, but you may loose a bit of performance due to the lack of linaro optimizations.
Sorry I can't really offer more help from a developer perspective. Maybe someone else has some suggestions.
Has anyone had an issue with YouTube playback where the video goes "dark" (as if you brought up a menu) and then has what looks to be the Chromecast icon in the middle of the screen? It seems to happen if you start a video in portrait and then rotate your phone to landscape. I can't get it to happen every time, but it's pretty annoying. This happened with WiFi on and off with no Chromecast around.
I get that. no idea how to fix it.
Yes, I can confirm that Problem.
It always happens to me when rotating having a Bluetooth Headset connected.

Its an issue on all devices with the new youtube version. Has been posted to google and they are aware of the issue. A fix will be deployed in the future but they have indicated to turn off bluetooth connection when it happens and restart youtube.
Uninstall updates works for now until they fix it

Hello guys,
Since a few hours I have the following problem:
Every time I shut down the display there is a small light over the whole display and it behaves like it is on.
If I press the power key now shortly the whole display pops up but powers off immediately. So it behaves as it was on the whole time before.
I have this problem since a few hours and don't know why. Have installed a camera zip only but returned to stock after the problem.
Already dirty flashed the Rom again.
But the problem is still there.
Rom: Catalysm 21Nov
Kernel : Franco 13

maybe do a clean flash, or return completely to stock/change cernel?
Does it play the "old CRT TV" screen off animation the first time or the second time?
Ive got two issues with the new MM firmware.
The first one is not really an issue but something I noticed. When the phone connects to wifi it plays a short sound. But i don't find any option to disable it.
The second one is that I recently played with the app permissions. Since that audio over Bluetooth doesn't work anymore. When I connect to a Bluetooth device the option media-audio is greyed out. I looked again in the permissions but my player has everything allowed. Any idea why?

When watching a video on floating window if you press play next video button the app crashes and close
