LAVA Iris 501 Jelly Bean Firmware 4.1.1

This is the first post which provides LAVA IRIS 501 Jelly Bean Firmware 4.1.1
Recently LAVA Iris 501 has got Jelly Bean update. You need to visit LAVA service center for updating your handset.
Here I am giving Jelly Bean Firmware so that you can Update your handset yourself.
What's needed:
USB data cable
MediaTek USB VCOM drivers
SP Flash Tool
LAVA Iris 501 Jelly Bean Firmware
Download all files from links which are given in my post. - All Links upadated
Process:
Switch off Mobile, Remove Battery and after few seconds again insert battery (Do not switch on mobile and also do not connect USB cable at this time)
Install MediaTek USB VCOM drivers in your PC.
Open SP Flash Tool, then click Scatter-loading button to load the scatter file. It will load Firmware files. Click on Firmware Upgrade Button. It will check all files and it may give a Checksum Failed warning. Just Ignore this warning, Click on OK if warning is there and connect mobile with USB cable. It will start updating your mobile. Complete process will take around 5 minutes. Now you can enjoy with Jelly Bean.

Yesterday I strted downloading, but somewhere in between it stopped.
Now I tried to re-download, but it's not working. Is there any other link from where I can download it?

I tried installing the MediaTek diverse attached. But It failed to get install MTD Device.
It says An error occurred during the installation of the device. The third party INF file sows not contain digital signature information.
Please help what needs to be done to install the drivers.

I am creating a website and uploading files there. There will be 100Gb bandwidth. Tomorrow I will give new links from there you can download with download manager along with resume support. Sorry for the inconvenience.

New links added, now Firmware file is split in four parts and you can use download manager and resume support is also there.

Thanks a lot of your efforts to provide JB rom.
I have download part 1 of the ROM and half of the 2nd part but now it is giving error in downloading and no part is downloading.
please upload the same files on zippyshare or rapidshare which support resuming download.

I have checked links and found them working with resume download support. There may be some problem with your net connection.

[Q] Updating Kernel !Need Help!

Bro! After a Long Research i Have Rooted My Canvas 2 with CWM, Which i Had Get Updated to JellyBean 4.1.1.
Now I m Eager to Know about Kernel Updating and want Want to Update with ThunderZap.
But i am Worried That it Can Cause any issue with my Phone!
So What would u Suggest??
Plz Give me The Link of Latest Updated Version of ThunderZap and Step By Step Guide For This.
If In Case i Found Any Problem What Should I Do??

Hi,
I have started this forum for all Celkon A118 users, who are still waiting for custom/ ported ROM for their mobile. My first ROM in this regard would be Xperia based and will be available for download in a while.

Procedure for flashing:
1) Copy the download zip file to SD card of your smartphone
2) Select install from SD card in CWM after booting in recovery mode
3)Reboot after flashing complete
**for all the above, you will need your phone to be rooted. If you still have un-rooted phone and want to root download mtk droid tools.

Yes! Formating cache is required . There is no bug in my knowledge. Used it almost three months before posting.

Yeah it will work if you flash using sp tools but remember your phone apps installation storage will be reverted back to 0.98GB if you want 4GB then replace the EBR1 & EBR2 files with Kitkat files.

Micromax vil Release KITKAT For some of the smartphones !!
All uh need to do is w8 !
if your lucky then u'll get the updates
might be by OTA (OVer the air ) or might be you have to install them manually
