same here.... have to press the damn menu key to delete mails... hope they will go back to the old version..

Make this step and you`ll be lucky. )
Go to Settings > General settings, then tap on Archive & delete actions. You'll see a pop-up with three options: Show archive only, Show delete only, and Show archive & delete. Tap on one of the actions that include "delete" to enable the trash button.

Beautiful! Amazing how you can overlook the simple fixes. I too was not liking what I had to do to delete and didn't even think to check those settings first.

New Gmail arrived - 4.5.2 V
Gmail App Updated To 4.5.2, Brings Delete Button Back By Default (And Popular Demand)
There's nothing as satisfying as permanently deleting that annoying email. Well, that's not true, there are a lot of things more satisfying than that, like hugging your children, eating a good steak, and landing a headshot on that jerk who's been camping the spawn. But if you've been craving that small, petty, satisfying feeling of quickly deleting hundreds of emails, Google's got your back. The 4.5.2 version of the Gmail app makes the Delete button the default setting after you long-press a message (in the last major revision it was previously set to Archive).
Other changes include the ability to select multiple emails in a chain by touching the sender images, plus the usual bug fixes. Our resident software dissection specialist Ron Amadeo has already performed his customary teardown, and found nothing else of interest hiding in the app. The update seems to be rolling out quickly - all the devices scattered around my desk are already updating. As before, you'll need Android 4.0 to enjoy the fruits of Google's labor.
Update: Apparently the touching sender images feature is not new, Google just decided to highlight it in the Google+ post for some reason. So yeah, Default button on by default and bug fixes. That's all, folks.

GNote - Note taking application (8/11/2012)

I created this application out of my need as I used S Memo for taking notes, meeting minutes and using the widgets as the sticky notes. I found memo to be the closest one but widgets was broken and I decided to create a new application based on SPen SDK 2.1
Features of GNote
1. Multiple widgets which remains even after reboot. Widgets are updated as soon as the corresponding note is edited.
2. Multiple pages with easy navigation
3. Update existing widgets note
4. Simple toolbar which can be hidden.
5. Notes Gallery for managing notes. (image of the first page of the note is shown in notes gallery)
6. Notes Gallery - Multiple notes can be deleted.
7. Images from gallery and camera can be added to the note.
8. Settings - option to disable back key
9. Settings - option to disable finger touch.
10.It remembers last used pen and eraser settings and uses the same when the app is launched next time.
11. Very smooth and does not lag.
12. Clicking on the title bar of widget opens a new note
13. Clicking on the body of the widget opens the note corresponding to the widget.
Compatible with ICS and JB.
Change Log
0.2
1. Add Images from camera and gallery
2. Layout changes to improve user experience
3. Added Settings and about screens
0.3
1. Background colors can be added to the notes. The same will be applicable to the widgets
2. Settings - Left Hand (Please report if not working fine)
3. Settings - Option to enable/disable pinch zoom
4. Notes Gallery now shows the count of pages in each note.
5. Note is saved without any confirmation. Further, you can save the note on demand using the save button. Note is saved when you navigate to some other activity or on exit of the application.
6. Some Icons changed (still a WIP).
7. Saves the notes faster. reduced the saving time by 50%.
an many insignificant fixes.
0.4
1. Note can be shared now
2. Note can be exported as a png image
3. Text can be added to the note
4. Tool tips are added to the toolbar buttons
5. Selected tool is highlighted in white(applicable to pen, eraser and text)
6. reverted the icons to holo light theme
7. Minor Bug fixes
If you find any bug please report it here. Do not forget to mention the Rom on which you are. Do not report bug if used other than galaxy note
You can donate to me by using about dialog from the application or from here. Donations are not necessary and will not have any effect on the development of the application.
Special Thanks to
g_aquarian for donation
Thanks to Devmil for his color chooser.
Please press thanks if you like my application. At least I deserve that

Is there any way to upload the free apk to google play store without paying the initial amount of 25$.
Can You implement: write with pen and erase with finger?
Gesendet von meinem Transformer Prime TF201 mit Tapatalk 2
Like the app, very useful! It would be nice if we could change the background color of the widget and maybe try to steamline the widget title bar, it takes up space. All in all really like it and see a lot of potential!!
Thank you!
Marty
Customization and Background colors will come later as I need to tackle some of the basic stuffs like image and text. All suggestions than can improve user experience are welcome and are potential candidates for future releases.

Nope.
Be aware that someone can do it before you and "steal" your app by this way.
There were some cases like that in the past.

I would have paid $25 but Indian users cannot sell paid apps currently on market and there is no way for me to regain those $25. Do you know any other alternate site where I can upload my application.
If i'm not totally wrong, you can upload your app to the Play Store, but you can't sell it. It has to be free. Or if you want to sell apps on the Play Store, you'll have to find a person (that you trust 110%) who can sell your app(s) on your behalf.

I searched a lot but the only answer I get is pay $25 and upload free or paid apps. Since, this application is free, its best for me to host it on XDA.
Have a disclaimer after installation which says "this app is free. If you bought yours, get a refund now." or something. XD
WOW!
really great application especially the lag-less writing with the pen. very impressive! even on the note cm10 preview
thanks very much
I think this should be part of CM 10 for note when it's ready. not of the ugly play store
the delete with finger idea is not that good I think - cause when I write I tend to touch the screen with my Palm rest accidently...
what i would like to See is an Option to disable the touchscreen and/or the back touch-Button --- so that just the pen is working
thanks again

FAQ
No Capture Method is available for my device!
This is normal if your device isn't rooted. It's the way how the Android security model works, it just doesn't allow taking a screenshot. However, you can enable screenshot functionality on your device by enabling it through a computer (this is a small flaw in Android which can be used for this). It's really simple, you will need to download a file on your computer, connect your device and run the file to enable screenshot functionality. To see how you can do this go to Screenshot Ultimate > Settings > Capture methods > No capture method help. You can email the manual to yourself so you can complete it on your computer (Windows, Linux or OSX).
I don't understand how to...
Just post your question (or comment) here and I'll try to respond asap (or someone else will).
Feedback
All feedback is welcome, so please let me know what you think of the app! Since the app is released on Play you can, if you want, post about it wherever you like!
- Let me know what device and Android version you use and what capture methods are available on your device.
- People with a camera hardware button and/or a search hardware button, could you please try the trigger methods for these buttons and let me know whether it works ok?

You can download the free version from below:

Or download the paid version which has no ads (and popups), supports us with development, and extra allows to upload to Glowfoto, ImageShack, TwitPic and/or Tumblr:

That's weird, what device do you have? And what Android version?
And could you maybe post the distorted screenshot? And did you have root?
If you had root some screenshot method should work.
Other people who tried have a different experience?

And shadowch31, could you try whether this app also gives distorted screenshots?

Just tested your app on my rooted N7000 running ICS 4.0.4. I tried 5 trigger methods: overlay icon, shake, service icon click, audio, power connects and everything works fine , but it always captures Superuser notification so I have to disable notification in Superuser.

You can solve that in two ways.
- As you mention yourself, disable superuser notification
- OR, you can change the capture method. First, you can run the auto detect method for detecting the available capture methods and see which ones have the superuser notification on top.
But if you take one screenshot with "Root 3" after that you can pick "No Root 3" and no superuser is required. Root 3 start a small temporary service running with root permissions which can take screenshots.
Let me know whether that works.
Did other people try it as well? Feedback is really welcome!

Well, that should not happen, I thought the app was designed to be used intuitive. Could you explain a bit more on what you are confused about?
Here some explanations:
- When you take a screenshot it will get saved default to /mnt/sdcard/screenshotultimate/ (can be changed on settings page) and a window will show where you can edit, share or preview the taken screenshot.
- When you open the app you can press the menu button on the start screen (or go to settings > trigger methods) to enable/disable trigger methods. A trigger method will give you the possibility to take a screenshot on different triggers.
Let me know what's unclear so I can try to help you or maybe make the app easier to use (that's what feedback is for).
So does anyone else use the app or has an opinion on it? The more feedback I get the easier I can make the app Thanks!

It depend on the ROM you are running, most stock Android will popup the task manager when pressing Home for few seconds, HomeFlip should preserve this behavior by default.
I'll check CM9 (this is what you are running right ?) internals to see if there is a way to hijack this, but keep in mind that I try to keep HomeFlip as non-invasive as possible, so any features that require additional permissions or dirty tricks is a no go for me, Respect peoples phone is my policy

I know the long-press home action, and of course, I don't like it . I have a cheap and weak phone (HTC explorer), so your animation seem a bit laggy . I have a dedicated button for recent apps, but it take about 1-1.5 second to load . So go to home and tap app icon is even faster than using the recent apps menu .
Looking for the update . By the way, the apk size is tiny, but cached process need 10MB, is that normal ?

You can disable the animation from settings (context menu).
HomeFlip to not not cache anything by itself, but it is possible that the OS itself cache information (i.e. icons), I'll have a look.
Anyway, Android is getting good at managing memory itself, the times where you had to manually kill tasks are hopefully over.
Thanks.

[APP] Official Facebook Home APK

Lol, Facebook Home! AP shared the apk in their tweet, so no credits to me. Install the attached Facebook Home apk and download the Facebook app from Play Store. Then if your phone is not officially supported then you will need to edit the build.prop file, which is accessible by path system/build.pro- Reboot, via any good file manager like Root Explorer.
But then again, I strongly recommend you to NOT edit the build.prop file for such a hype like this, you will face several problems later.

In order to use the leak, you need an Android device with a maximum resolution of 1280x768 and the ability to completely uninstall your existing Facebook app. This is important, as the leaked APKs are re-signed and can't just be installed over the top of an existing installation. This will automatically exclude some devices which have Facebook installed in the base ROM. If you're on a Nexus device you're good! Even if you do have Facebook in ROM, provided you are rooted there are workarounds - i'll detail these in the comments. If you have any problems installing post below and i'll help if I can.
In the settings you can find some interesting options such as whether to hide the notification bar by default or not (if it is hidden, sweeping down from the top of the screen reveals it). Let us know your thoughts!

If you have Facebook app already installed:
If you're rooted and want to play on a device with Facebook preinstalled, you need to...
Find the location of Facebook in your system partition (e.g. /system/app/Facebook.apk or perhaps /system/app/Facebook_Client.apk)
Delete said file (after backing it up!)
Reboot device
Install Facebook from the Play Store then uninstall it
Install above APKs

Absolutely wrong.
On TSOGLANI thread, he said that it needs a screen with 1280x768 resolution, can someone confirm it? I want to test it on my Galaxy Tab 2, which has a 1024x600 screen :good:

Nope only this res but up to this res. So it should work. I have a question about that preinstalled Facebook app. I have it but I disable it. Still I can't run it? Will final version have this sorted out?

On my SGS 1 I9000, the app isn't usable because it's lagging a lot..
But it's a really nice idea, I love it!
Facebook Home looks great. Hopefully the official release will be a bit less buggy.

[4.0+]OneClick Scroll v1.1.0 - one touch to scroll to top/bottom of anything scrollable

[4.0+]OneClick Scroll v1.1.0 - one touch to scroll to top/bottom of anything scrollable
Intro
I recently added two new features (Scroll to top and scroll to bottom) for my other app, Button Savior. The more I play with it, the more I believe it should be made as a separate app. So here it is. Since I only spent one day to develop this app, so I will continue through in more features later. I believe this app should work for you. If it doesn't, please post a reply here. Thanks in advanced.
This app, as in first release, does only two things. But they can come in extremely handy when you are in a situation that you want to quickly return to top of a list or a web page. Before this app, you need to swipe again and again until you hit the top. Things get worse when the list is loooooong. With OneClick Scroll, all you need to do is to tap on top left corner on statusbar to scroll to top and tap on top right corner on statusbar to scroll to bottom.
I have tested on two of my devices and most apps I have. It works in browser, Facebook, playstore. gmail, contact, phone history...... virtually anything scrollable. If it fails to scroll to top/bottom in your case, please let me know the app that fails.

You misspelled the name in your link...
The app works fine, however I really dislike the vibration.
If this could be made into a setting, plus enlarging the touch area, it would be great
link not work
waiting for try.:good:

Great! The app is very handy :good:
OMG. This app is insanely handy. And it is not very obstructive at all. When I need it, its there. Boom. By the way, any plan to add fine tune scroll control? I know it sounds stupid while i can use finger to scroll.

Only small niggle/issue I have with it: it interferes a bit with the right-quick-pulldown of the notification area using some AOSP Roms. When I want to drag the notifications down the page scrolls to the bottom.
A user selectable area a bit to the left of the utmost right would be ideal, but I don't know if that's possible
