Stock music player gone! - Samsung Infuse 4G

Just installed a new ROM. it didn't come with the stock music player. It came with Google play. Which I don't want. I found the stock music player apk. But it won't let me install it, it always says not installed with an "x" next to it.

What rom?
And which stock music player?
Sounds like you flashed aosp...and want the touchwiz music player...unfortunatly thats not possible, the samsung stock music player has touchwiz dependencies so it can only be used on stock based roms...

Its slim bean 4.2.2 and the stock media player is called "music player"
Ahhh that explains it, I hope that isn't the case.

Some music now missing after flashing CM7???

Having a weird issue that I haven't had with any other ROM. A bunch of music that I know for a fact is on my SD card, won't show up in the AOSP music player now that I'm on CM7. Most of my albums are there, but like 10 aren't? Any suggestions? Is it the AOSP player vs. the Sense player? Thanks.

That is cause Mindnote does not have Touchwiz??
Try alternative players like Google Play Music or Ubermusic or something...

Apollo Music Player

The CM default music player used to be in the play store, but has since been removed. I'm not running CM but another AOSP Rom so I don't have it installed.
I've searched all over, and maybe it's right in front of me, but could anyone direct me to were I could download it?

here you go.
Thanks
even though I paid for poweramp, I use apollo. Less battery drain and still doesn't restart an mp3 after a reboot or even booting into recovery.

I agree with apollo being a good music player. I on the other hand tend to go for lesser known apps like Music Player Remix.

[Q] music player and sound quality on a stock JB

Brothers! Hola!
Right now im using stock ROM. And have a terrible sound, a lot of bass, sometimes laggs and "scratches" during listening music, phone become unresponsive for a moment.
I've changed Google Play Music app to Apollo CM player. Now it's ok in case of stability. But settings of the played music (Equalizer) makes me cry and my ears bleeding.
What you can recommend, maybe another player app?
Thanks for your attention

Just browse. Upon purchasing my phone, I immediately rooted and the such and downloaded a third-party equalizer. I uninstalled the stock one and replaced it with the equalizer of my choosing.
The new Play Music app is kinda unstable, but I use it all the same. I suggest keeping Apollo and trying out a couple of equalizers.
Love Apollo. Great app. Themable too

I love PowerAmp (built in EQ) but since I signed up for the Play Music subscription, I've been relegated to the Play Music app. I'm on CM 10.1 now and it's nice to have system wide DSP.
