[Q] Problems connecting via USB - Verizon Droid Charge

I've been having problems connecting my phone to a PC via USB. I've tried it on two computers now and the phone will be recognized but then disconnected repeatedly. Does anybody know what could be causing this? Is it a hardware problem or some kind of faulty driver? I've done a system wipe/reinstall of a ROM and it doesn't help.

tried a different cable?

Tried cleaning out the port on the phone?

could be the port itself. if you're not careful you can tweak the port so the cable does not remain snug. my old BB charger works as long as i put the phone face down. the correct cables also have a better jack that fits deeper and tighter.

Tried a new cable and it seemed to be better. Good for nothing Amazon cable. Thanks for the advice!

Make Android output look like an iphone

Is there an app out there that would allow me to plug my android into my JVC USB car radio. I works fine if I plug in a iphone. I have to use the AUX cable. Trying to make it look nicer.

That would certainly be an awesome app, since most car stereos/head units only natively recognize iOS products through USB. I haven't heard of such an app unfortunately.
I have an aftermarket radio and i use an aux cable for mine.

It doesn't unfortunately. I've tried this a few times and haven't had any luck with it. Sucks cause I have a bunch of music on my Inspire that I would like to use.

I've gotten it to work many times. Maybe it depends on what car radio you have?

playing music from android thru USB
On my aftermarket Sony I just have to mount the sd, (it even asks me if i want to) I haven't don't it for a while but you might be right that the ipod/iphone just connects, but you want an app that saves you that step then get programing
It works on my Kenwood. It just uses my phone like a mass storage device. I can play music and even movies on my head unit.

I bought it from a phone shop in France. It's the only one that I found at a reasonable price - I've paid only 9.90 euro for a 1.5 m long cable from SonyEricsson. To be honest I was disappointed with the image that I got on TV from the phone, even if my TV is a plasma LG PX950N 3D Tv set. But maybe I haven't played enough with the settings. Anyway audio plays well.
Is there any kernel which can force audio through 3.5mm jack while hdmi connected. This can also solve my problem. Thank you guys for your replies

[Q] Phone not recognized by PC, still charging

Recently I found out that my PC is not recognizing my Nexus S, the usb mass storage notification is missing too. I tried to update the PC drivers in the Device Manager but not working.

Do you have "fast charge" enabled?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
As far as I remember I avoided using fast charge. Right now I am unable to find the fast charge option, maybe the Gummy ROM is not offering it.

Fast Charge is a kernel rather than a ROM feature I think. If it's enabled it won't allow you to connect via usb.
Try rebooting with USB cable connected and see if your device is detected.
Another possibility would be a faulty USB cable.

also try enabling usb debugging

[Q] Battery Disconnect issue

Whats up guys I have a stock Skyrocket on ICS and all the sudden when I plug it in it charges gor like 10 secs and then stops and I get Battery Disconnected error ...Is there a fix ?
Try cleaning the copper connectors on the battery with a pencil eraser. May have some build up on them which is causing a false connection error.
