Hello,
I have problem flashing stock RUU, and I think its because of hboot 3.01.0000, or radio - 16.11.20.24_m.
Currently Im on HTC JB, installed with TWRP.
The problem is that wifi is not working. Everything else OK.
Is there any way to revert to stock firmware in order to flash JB RUU?
Thanks.
Try flashing the extra partition WiFi mod in the dev section, that should resolve your broken wifi. Unless you've installed a new kernel ? That can some times break your WiFi.

Could you please show me how to do that? I'm not an expert in those things.
P.S.
My baseband version is 16.22.20.03u_16.11.20.24_m. Do you know how can I change it, because I think wifi is not working because of that?

My CID is 032

Have a look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2200930 if you are S3 there is a nandroid backup ICS 4.0.4 sense 4.1 (much better then JB) for your Cid and don't forget to fastboot the boot image after the installation.

Thanks, but what does it mean to fastboot the boot image?
Sorry, let me rephrase the question, I know what is fastboot, but which boot.img should I fastboot, and when?

So, are you an S3 owner? if yes, go to that link download the TRWP Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__032 / 2.15.401.100 file and flash it with trwp recovery but don't forget to wipe system, cache, etc. before that, then if you open the TRWP Nandroid Backup / CID HTC__032 / 2.15.401.100 file with winrar you can see a boot file named boot.emmc.win at this point you have to fastboot it ( fastboot flash boot boot.emmc.win ), then restart the phone and if you want, just go to settings> storge> factory data reset. So at this point you will start from fresh. anyway if you don't know what you are doing is better to search a little bit more before you do something wrong. I will not assume any responsibility if you break your phone.

Thanks dude. One thing to note is that I'm pretty sure a nandroid does not restore radio or recovery. So even though it updated those things for you when you were completely stock and ran the actual OTA, I believe that anybody who flashes this nandroid will keep whatever radio and recovery they have when they flash it. If they are on hboot lower than 1.13, they can separately flash the 1.06es radio in TWRP.
should the bootloader be locked? or can i just restore this with un-locked bootloader hboot 1.13 and root?

You are supposedly restoring this back up from recovery and long as you have a custom recovery twrp you can use this.

ok but like chrikenn said with this backup the radio won't update right?

I do have S-OFF (I used revolutionary months ago, and I've neglected my root ever since)
By a nandroid backup you mean the backup that is under "Backup and Recovery" menu? The ones that are named by the date and time it was done? If so than yes, I have multiple of them.
UPDATE: I just went through the SuperCid process (because to be honest, I don't remember if I've ever done it before. Attempting to flash ViperS now.

Yep, that's a nandroid. So you've got something to get your phone operational again if necessary. Now that you're superCID I would try installing 3.33 universal firmware from here then reflash ViperS and see what happens. Before you install the firmware double check superCID from bootloader using adb (fastboot getvar cid).
One thing to keep in mind, your nandroid backup will only work with the firmware you were using when you created the backup, so if you wanted to be REALLY careful you could restore your latest nandroid before doing anything else, check firmware version in Settings/About Phone, download a copy of that firmware, THEN try and install new firmware/flash ViperS.
EDIT: Ok just saw your latest post. Since you're restoring a nandroid you can check that firmware version before going any further as mentioned.

I went to Software Information and found:
ANDROID VERSION : 2.3.5
HTC SENSE VERSION: 3.5
Should I still download that 3.3 universal firmware? If so, what do I do once it's downloaded? Do I have to flash it or anything?

There should be another entry under those two you mentioned called Software Number or something similar?
To install firmware, when you boot into bootloader it scans your SD card for PG58IMG file then asks if you want to update. So as long as your firmware file is called PG58IMG.zip it will work.
I glanced at the ViperS thread and it says it's based on 1.11.401.110 RUU, seems that those running the ROM are using the 3.33 firmware.

Yes, It will change your firmware. Make nandroid backup first, and restore after you flash firmware 3.33. Also don't forget to delete that firmware file after you flash the firmware.

If you are using CM10.1, which I'm guessing that you are, then your problem with the network search is not radio related. It's a known bug in CM10.1
The network search feature doesn't work. To my knowledge it doesn't work on any CM10.1 ROM for any device (I reserve the right to be wrong about that though)
You aren't doing anything wrong. There is nothing you can change to fix it. It has to be fixed in the CM source code.
If you are using CM9 please say so and we'll figure that out.
As for not getting any signal at all though, that may or may not be a different issue entirely. If CM 9 or 10.1 is booting for you (and if you are looking at the settings for it, then you are obviously booting) then you already have the updated firmware as both ROMs will only run on 3.32 or 3.33.
What country are you in and what network on your on?
Also, do you get no signal at all anywhere you go? Or is it just no signal at your house or something?
And if you switch to any other ICS or JB ROM do you get a signal? That's important. If you do then we can rule out a firmware, radio, or hardware issue.

There is no need to restore a nandroid after flsahing Kohr - Ah's firmware packages. They do not replace the ROM.
However, flashing new firmware can screw with the ROM and send it into bootloops. But wiping cache and dalvik from recovery will fix that, if it even happens.
Could he just flash the radio.img by itself by extracting the radio image from the firmware?

But, check the md5 sum first after you download the pm58img.zip file. Check it against the on listed under the download link in Stempox's thread. If they don't match delete the file you downloaded and do not proceed.

Hello,
I'm new here but today I tried to root my phone and put CM10 on it. Rooting was not that hard but with flashing the rom I had some problems. I used a tutorial from youtube "Htc One s jellybean 4.2.2 Nightly Cm10.1 Rom" and did everything as he said but when I tried to boot CM it came in a boot loop so I restored my backup and everything was back normal again. But I thought i'll give it another try so I did that and it still didn't work so I restored (via recovery) and at the end it said: It appears your phone isn't rooted do you wanna do it now...(or something like that)? I found that a bit strange but I clicked yes but now if I boot up my phone first you just see "HTC - quietly brilliant" and then the red letters come beneath it saying its a developers version. I Couldn't do anything so I jumped into my bootloader and did factory reset but now everything is gone and I still have that booting problem,
I can acces bootloader and recovery mode but that's it
I really need my phone soon and don't have much time to look on the internet for solutions so could you please help me?
Thanks in advance!!
Lennard
Do you have the RUU for your phone? Maybe that would be the quick fix to take it back to stock. You can use an RUU that's equal or newer than what you have currently.
BTW: I went through this as well.

Do you remember doing any of the following?
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe dalvik cache
I think that was my problem that I didn't wipe the cache completely. Possibly a bad download too. Do a search on md5. It's basically a check to see if your download is ok before flashing.
As far the RUU is concerned, it will take you back to stock. You will need the info that appears when you start the phone up by holding down VOL DOWN and POWER. Hold down volume down, then press the power for a second or 2. Then it will boot up into HBOOT.
Write down the info that appears and search for a matching RUU equal or newer.
What is the carrier???

MAY anyone who reads this confirm it? Just to be safe at all.
btw. "HTC_E11" = unbranded Netherlands
Due to you're S-ON you will have to relock your bootloader to perform a RUU update.
Here you can find a step by step RUU guide by "Flashalot" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=51016251

Should I first relock my bootloader and follow the tutorial to flash that RUU of vice versa?

For RUU you need stock recovery and "locked" BL. Please read the guide again and only proceed, if you're sure you got it.
Another question:
You said you got a working recovery? Which version do you use? And have you tried install another custom rom.zip? That would be more easy and safe to you. May be your storage got corrupted and thats why your phone crashed and you can't install the rom.zip stored on the sd-card. You could connect the phone to your pc as mass storage via recovery, format it and put a new customrom.zip on it. By the way, why you installed such an old rom? You can use CM11 for sure

In that guide it doesn't say anything about a relocked bootloader.
I do have a working recovery but how can I get a zip file on it? I can't acces the files of my phone in windows explorer or something like that. Also I don't know if I have a stock recovery but if I don't I have to install that via a zip but how can I get that on my phone...?

PLS boot in recovery mode and tell me what "version" it is You should find it. If you're not sure about it, you can flash a new recovery before installing a rom. Whe you have a working custom recovery you can mount your sd-card to your computer via recovery.
Found the RUU guide i had in mind http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2501542

When I click on Restore from TWRP I don't have anything to select from. The files are copied to the internal storage, did a factory wipe.. nothing. Please help
Using TWRP 2.7.1.1
Edit:
I made a backup with TWRP and saw it made it in another folder.. moved your nandroid backup to that folder and it's shown Thanks!
Edit 2:
It showed as failed and couldn't boot. I'm restoring my old backup now to see what's wrong.. It might've not copied correctly.. I don't know ;/ Will continue to update this post
Edit 3:
I saw it hasn't copied itself correctly 'cause I did move them through the phone's file manager
Edit 4:
After successfully restoring, I can't access fastboot to flash boot and recovery.. I saw that TWRP automatically flashes boot from the restore, so I don't think that's needed. But for the recovery, I'll try later.. right now I've booted up the phone and it started without a problem. Didn't ask for any setup though.. I'll try adb reboot bootloader now and flash boot and recovery, then lock it again.. if it works, I might just format everything and do a clean install
--
The fastboot still won't work, the PC doesn't recognize it at all... ;/ It just shows 'USB Device not recognized' popup and that's all -_-

It wasn't working because of a faulty HBOOT.. I got it fixed but I didn't know it was faulty.. Flashed firmware, flashed stock recovery, added that faulty HBOOT again because it removes red text and makes *RELOCKED* show as *LOCKED* and other tiny stuff.. Now I'm with locked bootloader, stock recovery, faulty HBOOT and no way out of this situation

Please advise on what to do.
Check out the third post in this thread, it contains everything you need: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2851886
Seeking assistance to return to stock ROM
I followed it and went from a EE-branded running Android 4.3, to a fully stock, unrooted Android 4.4.2 and Sense 6 and on HTC's own release channel. Best thing is you can leave as Super CID and S-off and when you come to sell it, change both with a couple of basic fastboot commands. Or easily re-root it again and use a custom rom, should you feel inclined.
