I've just "Upgraded" to SlimBean 4.2.2 Build 6 however the Network Radio and Wifi radio won't turn on now. I can't boot into recovery now either when holding Power and Volume Down so can't even restore the Nandroid.
Is anyone familiar with these issues and know how to fix them? I'm pulling my hair out at the moment!
Hold power down, your capacitive button lights will flash about six times. Once the screen goes blank, release power button and instantly hold power down, it should boot into the bootloader. Is this method not working?

I think I maybe wasn't quick enough and have managed to get it into recovery.
I have now installed CM10 RC4 but I'm still having the same issue with the Network and WiFi radios.
When I go into settings and try to turn WiFi on it simply won't let me. The same goes for the Network radio as well when I go in using the *#*#4636#*#* code.
Is there a fix for this or is it bricked?
Panic over. I reflashed the boot.img and it's all working fine now.
Mods, please close.

It says press and release power button after holding vol. down.
Why would the first thing you do is lock it? There are more awesome features to try out -_-

hello, I have an HTC inspire 4g on art network. the volume up button will work for a few days and then stop working. I will have to go into the settings to turn the volume up. I have had this prob as long as I can remember. I have tried even flashing a custom Rom and the vol button worked for a few days and now back to not working again. was wondering if any one else has had thus same problem or not. thinking about flashing back to stock Rom and locking it back and going threw HTC to maybe get it fixed but that is last resort. any insight to this problem would be great.

Volume rockers seem to be kinda delicate. Many people in this forums have experienced that. If you still can take it for service do it. No volume rocker might be an important issue with a rooted phone.

Thinking to buy this phone and was wondering what if during custom roms it hangs totally , and cant remove battery... is only option to wait that 1-2 days for battery to run out?
read from other forum that phone producers have build some hold 10second power button hard reset function... true? working on this phone?
anyone with freezes and custom roms... \o/

Yup, holding power button for around 10 seconds will force a reboot.

Loooooooong press on the powerbutton will solve complete hangs.
Hold volume down and power and it'll boot into Bootloader from there you can boot into recovery or use ADB in fast boot.

So I was fooling around with my phone last night and decided to undervolt to 75mv. It was going good until it suddenly restarted. But while it was rebooting I decided to short out all five of the dock pins on the back of the phone. When I did my phone gave a long vibrate (maybe 5 seconds) and when it booted up a large caption at the bottom of the screen said "Safe Mode" and all my user apps had disappeared. Just the apps that are hard built into venom remained and all my setting had been reset to stock. Rebooted again and it started up in normal mode but I had to go change all my settings back to what I had them. Never heard anything about safe mode on these forums so I decided to run it by y'all.
Yea HTC sent me an email awhile back telling me the way to get into safe mode. I'm sure they know about it here. Not sure if they do but probably. If you guys don't I'll post that email I got

Holding vol + during boot does the same. Its for diagnosing issues. Determines if its a 3rd party app causing an issue or not

Holding volume down rocker during the white HTC logo screen will put you into Safe Mode. Similar to bootloader, except if you hold vol down rocker before the white HTC logo screen, you go into bootloader. HOlding vol down rocker during logo screen start Safe Mode.
As mentioned, it just starts the phone with no 3rd party apps loaded. Its one of the first thing HTC support will tell you to do if you contact them on an issue/bug.

I think you meant VOL -
BE CAREFUL ABOUT PRESSING POWER + VOLUME UP. I have heard it sends it to Qualcomms download mode with no way of getting back. Your phone essentially gets bricked. I don't know if that issue still remains or if that's something fixable today but I thought I'd just leave this warning.
No, I meant vol +. The issue mentioned does not apply to the Evita one x

lolno, I've done the VOL + by accident before and nothing happens, although I'm on AOKP.
I figured people already knew about safe mode. But you never know. Maybe oneday we will find the key combination for s-off

Doesn't do anything on our phone.

Hi there,
I posted this in General first. I think it should be here.
I have a Rogers Galaxy SGH-i727R. About three weeks ago, the phone started re-starting on it's own. I though maybe it was a sticky power key and had that replaced. The problem persisted. I then noticed that it was primarily upon receiving text messages that the phone would reboot. So it seemed it was a software issue. I am running the stable build of CM9.
Yesterday the phone rebooted and never got off the angry alien screen. I pulled the battery, charged it etc and still could not get it to fully boot up. I left it for over an hour. I finally decided to call it quits and re-flash the phone. Problem is, it will not boot into recovery at all. When I hold down Vol + - and Power, it jsut goes into a loop of vibrating every three seconds until I let go and then it tries a normal boot again. Once, I briefly got a screen saying I was trying to install custom software and to press volume up to do so, but before I could hit volume up, the phone cycled off.
I should also mention that the four buttons on the bottom of the screen do not work. I accidentally sliced the wires on the side of the phone when opening it up. I use a software button saver widget to access their functions. I wonder if that issue is related....
Thanks for any advice. I would like to get into recovery so I can load a new ROM or a stock ROM.
