Hi guys,
I have managed to port the Facebook Inside Xperia to our x10's. And I thought I would share with you lot what I have managed to achieve. There are 3 files attached and please follow instructions carefully.
Download F.I.X_2.0.zip from HERE
Download Home_2.3.4.zip from HERE
Download SEMCFacebookProxy.apk from HERE

1. DOWNLOAD THE ABOVE FILES
1a. DELETE THE SEMCFACEBOOKSERVICES.APK AND ALL FACEBOOK INSIDE XPERIA APKS FROM /SYSTEM/APPS/ (USE ROOT EXPLORER OR SIMILAR) (BACKUP ALL THOSE APPS BEFORE)
2. FLASH THE F.I.X_2.0.zip IN XRECOVERY THEN REBOOT
3. REBOOT BACK INTO XRECOVERY AND THEN FLASH THE Home_2.3.4.zip
4. GO TO ADVANCED AND WIPE DALVIK CACHE AND ALSO FIX PERMISSIONS
5. REBOOT AND INSTALL SEMCFacebookProxy.apk
6. REBOOT AND FIX PERMISSIONS AGAIN. REBOOT AND ENJOY.
PLEASE NOTE: SOME PEOPLE HAVE HAD PROBLEMS BUT SOME HAVEN'T. NO ONE KNOWS WHY BUT IT IS BEING LOOKED INTO BY MY MATES AND MYSELF.

Any zip file for xrecovery have you tried it and all ready work? i have just installed the new home launcher the app share an the facebook proxy and it doesnt work it says network error

OK thats wierd. It installs fine for me so I cant understand why it wont for you lot. Also the .zip file is not flashable. I have used this on my Tweaked stock ROM and it installs fine. Have you lot tried using root explorer to copy/paste into /system/apps/ and set the right permissions.
I HAVE ADDED 2 FILES IN THE OP. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN TRY AGAIN

Does this make the lockscreen noticiations actually work properly?
They never worked in the original facebook inside xperia for x10...

Well I have everything working and I mean the whole lot. The sharing on home screen and the actual Facebook 2.0 also I have the SEMCFacebookProxy.apk working. I think the port is nearly finished. Just need to make the flashable zip them done but will have to be tomorrow now as I am tired and wont want to make any mistakes lol. Will upload a fully working Facebook Inside Xperia 2.0 tomorrow. The "Like it" button disappeared from music player

Just adding zipped .jar to be able to download it via QR code

This seems to be working actually, at least Like from Music Player. I installed everything except SEMCFacebookProxy which wont install. FBAppShare from status bar won't work tho

thanks, works at x8 cm7 2.3.5, but the font color black and not found server???

Did you manage to install SEMCFacebookProxy.apk? I can't, i get "Application not installed"

Here you go guys Facebook 2.0. Just install like any other app. Enjoy. Also there is two more widgets for ya. Calenda widget and World clock widget.
These have all the facebook files in incase they are needed.

Don't see the difference because appshare doesn't work and I installed everything what you installed. Yeah, the widgets are working and the appshare program but when i take a icon to the the top..nothing happens then../??

Revamped Widgets Pack [18.11.12]

Finally I've managed to gather all the important widgets from 2.1 to 2.3.3 and renew them so that they can match with the new Xperia widgets.
How to install: flash through xrecovery or push through ADB. From now on CWM recovery is also supported so installation is even easier, after you're done flashing, go to recovery and fix permissions.

It works for both, i've tested it on Achotjan's Debrand Engine Cm9 and they're completely functional except for the media widget, it opens the music player only, and doesn't recognize the new gallery, in it's next version i'll try to fix that.

Ive tried the media widget but it doesnt show up in the.. widgets menu.. whats wrong? im on sde cm9 (and using sony laucner)

Install it with ADB and put it in system apps, also, if it doesn't work this way check the option "install" and it should show up.

@NuriJ, for now i dont have any progress whatsoever, but this weekend i'm going to work harder and probablly have some resaults already.
@serge327, there you go buddy, download the attached file, extract it and then put the two files to system>font.
@IDreadman, you can also use some sort of root explorer and go to system>app, then paste your desired widget there. Then hold on the pasted widget and click permissions, check them as shown here:

I Tried it using Titanium Backup..converting it to System App..but it Gives Fc's
I Also Want to Replace The Music App with Apollo and Camera App with Camera Zoom FX..

Some apps need lib files when made into system app
Extract that wp7keyboard.apk.
Copy \wp7keyboard.apk\lib\armeabi\libjni_latinime_moo.so
And paste it to system/lib/
Set permissions rw-r-r
Do the same for the rest.
To know which lib files are necessary, use link2sd and open the details of the app
It will show the libs needed for a user app to run.

On pc use winrar(or similar software) and simply open the apk
On mobile use root explorer. when you click on apk,use "view" option and you can have the insite of the apk
For setting permission,again you'll need root explorer (or similar apps). Just long press on the file you wanna set permission to.
There will be permission option and a window will pop-up
These are the right permissions-
Oh and while pasting in system,some roms have set "read-only" value by default.
Just change it to read-write by clicking on R/O button on the top-right corner.

Try using another apk from official cm7 or other compiled roms.
You can try this instead too

It is a system app. it won't show any libs for that.
Is that cm7 keyboard?
If yes, then open the apk. There's only one lib present there.
You'll need to use that.

How to convert the system apps into apk..
for eg. I have beats manager in my current rom..
and I wanna use another rom which doesn't have it..
and when I install it via titanium backup..it gives fc's
Also that rom doesn't have an option for screen shot in power menu like the cm roms..
but it is really fast and great..
I want to customize that one!

System apps are already in apk format.They are present in /system/app.
which rom is it? those beats managers are mostly modded dsp manager from cyanogen

I found it to be fast as well as good looking as compared to other JB roms(CM10.1)
So far I didn't find any fc's too..(like apollo closes after some time in Cm 10.1)
It even works well with the bad ass kernel..the one attached by the Lenio rom dev.

Firstly its not JB,its ICS.
And I haven't seen any mod/patch for aosp roms. You'll have to cherry-pick from cyanogen.
You'll have to try out some app or goto terminal and type reboot or reboot recovery

Yeah..but atleast it looks better than gb..m fed up of gb
and also its fast..
all my apps are working without any lags..the games too..

Hello,
Finally, i figured it out, how to change system fonts?
No need to download any app
Check Screenshots:good:
Updated 10/8
Now you can Change font both of System+Apps
Tested only on Stock Roms
Change Whole Device Font
Requirement
1.Root
2.Text Editor (I use ES File Explorer to edit for .xml file)
Instruction
1.Download any .ttf font according to your choice from google or Dafont! For test download this font Angry Bird Font
2.I assume you've downloaded AngryBird font now change font name "angrybirds-regular.ttf" to "Roboto-Regular.ttf"
3.Move your font into "/system/fonts" replace and set permissions to "rw-r-r" (Before replace font Backup your old Roboto-Regular.ttf)
4.Now, Download Attach file extract it and move to /system/vendor/etc and set permissions to "rw-r-r"
5.Reboot your device.
It's very easy download any fonts according to your choice and rename your font name "Roboto-Regular.ttf" move into /System/fonts, set permissions to "rw-r-r" Done!
Feel free to try it and report back which effect you see.

bro you need to download it read instruction carefully. check instruction no.1 there's link for "angrybirds-regular.ttf"
download and move your "angrybirds-regular.ttf" "/system/fonts" and set permissions to "rw-r-r"
then go to "/system/vendor/etc" Open "system_fonts.xml"
You only need to change name.

Your system partition is in Read-Only mode. Mount the system in RW mode.

What app are you using ? Use Root Explorer, you don't have to mount system. For permission in this app just long press on the file and search for permission in pop out menu.
Btw. do you have a root ?

ok,Click the phone/globe icon in ES File explorer.
1)Then turn on Root Explorer
2)Long press it after turning it on
3)Mount R/W
Done

I tried but it will say it is. not applicable to my device. why?

[APP] Sony ID + Transparent weather widget

Hi guys, this app works in every device and it was modded by me. I love the new Sony Weather app but I don't like the wallpapers used for the widget, so i thought to work on a transparent version and this is the result. To apply the mod you need to install the original version before and than you must paste the mod version through the system with a root file manager. NB flashing the .zip file (1st step) you will be able to download other Sony apps too (Music, Album ecc.)

HOW TO INSTALL
flash this zip to obtain the Sony identification on the Google Play Store (it could work after some hours, be patient )
install the original app
copy and paste the base.apk (modded app) into data/app/com.sonymobile.xperiaweather
give the authorizations rw-r--r-- to the replaced app
reboot

yes...probably the Play Store needs to recognize you as Xperia Smartphone. After the flash of the zip i suggest a wipe cache/dalvik...and be patient because sometimes the identification isn t immediate!

:good: cheers! That worked like a charm, and for me it worked right away. So maybe that should be the process, install the zip first then apk....since that seems less confusing....Thanks for the great efforts -

you must download the modded version.. it s called "base. apk"
go to the download folder (system/download) by root explorer (or another file manager root) and copy that "base. apk".. after that you must go to system/data/app and search the folder of the xperia weather..opening that you ll find another "base.apk". replace it pasting the app already copyed and after press for 2 second on the app.. go to the permissions of that app and change them in RW-R--R--

You don't install the transparent apk, you have to copy it to data/app/com.sonymobile.xperiaweather as shown in the OP, then and change the permissions and reboot - profit :good:
