currently m on JMP rom, and it is stable and fast also.
I tried HYPERMOD by nikhil***** and found that rom as a useless creature for canvas 2.
i cant try each and every ROM, so if anyone is using some other ROM and highly satisfied with that so please let me know.
JMP and Lawa projects are good.
It's all about personal taste.. I am on Suvi ROM and very happy with it.
HYBRID
Hybrid rom.... Everything in 1
Hello,
I'm closing this for a couple of reasons:
First, "Best ROM" threads are not allowed on XDA. It's a pretty pointless argument since what is the best ROM for one person, is not going to be the best ROM for another person. Everyone has different needs for what they want out of a ROM. The best way to choose which one is best for you, is to flash them yourself and see which one best fits your needs.
Secondly, this section of the forum already has more than enough trolling/flaming/arguing to fill 100 other forums, and I do not see this helping calm that down in any way, since history shows that it will just end up with fans of one ROM bashing someone else's ROM. I know the thread wasn't started with the intent of this to happen, but chances are it will anyway.
Stay calm and happy flashing.

I've been using Dutty's for the past few months, but it seems like ROMeOS is the best these days...
Probably the same one as the answer to the last time this question was asked... Oh, about 20 minutes ago. Please use the search. That's why it's there.
Seriously though, Best rom? Good question. Many are geared towards different ways of using the device. Best advice is to READ descriptions and threads like the rest of us and do your own research.

there is not the best one in general, but one that fits your needs.
So please read description of each ROM

Like the others said - and it of course depends on your preferences (i.e. type of apps, performance, appearance, etc.)
A good rule of thumb (ALL NOOBS TAKE THIS HINT!!) would be to look at the postings for recent ROMS and see how many responses there are to the thread. It could be a red herring if there have been a few bugs, but generally it indicates a popular ROM and from reading (yes read the initial posts please!) you can quickly determine if this might be a ROM for you. The responses from users will highlight any issues that may be specific to the software you'd like to run.
Maybe the mods can close this now - or maybe create a "Which ROM should you flash - read this first" Sticky that paraphrases this to prevent this weekly question.
if you are looking for a multimedia ROM (stable) i suggest Dutty's April 29 ROM
if you are looking for fast and fancy ROM i suggest ROMEOS 3.5
here ya go
But still like said above it has to be a ROM that fits ur needs.
cheers
Find the Best Rom! Ask 10 cooks get 10 best Roms
First Hard SPL your phone find a rom offering. Read what others say about it, then if it sounds like something you might like, Flash it. Then try another and another and keep going until you can answer that question for yourself. READ! for your self and learn. The bottom line is the best rom is a myth! it only can be the best if you say it is so. What I believe to be the Best you might Flash and think it sucks. Do some work on your own and learn! WiKi, WiKi, WiKi!
Hyperdragon ..
You can try Hyperdragon. I have been running it for quite some time now and have found it to be very stable and without almost no glitches..
Best rom

Try ROMeOS V3.5
It's fast, stable and the support of Hang.Tuah is great.
These threads are popping up all over lately. Cany anyone do their own research anymore?
i try creed but it doesnt support europa languages can you suggest me a performance rom
best rom threads are prohibited on xda..you can use cm7 dont expect wonders to happen on s g fit by just changing the rom ..
for every dev his rom is the best.
there is no best rom
Best thing to do is make a backup and try them out for yourself. I suggest reading the Dev section and picking a few out first. Then pick the ones that best fit what you want. Go into those threads and read the last 10 pages or so for bugs and whatnot. If you narrow it down, then go to the OP and start reading.

This is my first nexus 5 coming from a g2 .. I see tons of Roms to choose from but for the sake of taking days to try them all and read thru every changelog ...who has a suggestion for the most stable and customizable ROM by popular demand so far .. ?Theee go to ROM that most are stickn with..
Something as good as or custom as deviant development does with there twiz Roms over on the Samsung side
Best ROM threads are against the rules, as stated in the sticky at the top of this section. Everyone has different needs, and while one ROM may satisfy someone else's, it may not serve your purposes.
Try a few out and see which one works best for you. If you're looking for the most popular ones just take a look at the dev threads with many views/comments. Also lots can be learnt by reading the op of ROM threads to see what features they have to offer.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Highly recommend all of them by our great XDA Developers! Happy Flashing!!
If your looking for the most popular ROM you can check the post counts. By no means does that mean it's the "Best".

Hi! I have been switching between many ROMs in the last weeks, unable to the decide which one I should go for. I see someone have asked this question before, but the posts are pretty old. The rom i am looking for should be fast, battery friendly (if possible) and have some cool and useful functions. Thanks for all help
Well, I'm on AICP and I find it the most feature filled ROM out here
I guess as long as this topic doesn't turn into best ROM thing, it's fine...
Do a nandroid backup....and start flashing and see for yourself. Everyone's taste and needs are different. 12 people could answer you with 12 different answers.
XDA is about experimenting and trying things for ourselves.
Good luck!!
Sent from my N5, N7, Moto X, G Tab 3 or S2.....
for Simple or minimalistic experience, go for Purity or Slim Kat or Liquid Smooth or VanirAOSP
for feature full experience, go for PAC or Carbon or C or Mahdi or SOKP
All The Best
they really dont allow these kinds of threads on xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/best-rom-kernel-threads-t2477889
if you want to find a good rom for yourself, go to the development sections, read the rom ops, and try them out. thats the only way that youre gonba be able to find the perfect rom for yourself and your needs. as someone else already said, as many people are here as many different rom recommendations youll get. theres no one perfect rom.
As stated above, try out different ROM's and decide yourself. The answer to this question is always subjective. You are the only one who knows what works best for you.

Okay, deferring to the wisdom of the elders on this question. I've been all over the place with ROMs, TW and AOSP, but I'm heading to college in a few weeks and I'm looking to "settle down" with a ROM and ride it out until my upgrade in November. Is there a clear winner out there right now in terms of stability/battery life that still has some cool features? I'm very minimalistic and I don't need to be able to customize every single facet of the UI, but rooted stock is a bit too dull for me! I'm on CleanRom 8.2 atm and it's good but not great, I'm really looking for the ultimate daily driver ROM and kernel, please advise a lowly serf such as myself.
I don't believe the rules of XDA allow a "what is the best ROM" thread, so you may not get a simple answer (and to be honest, people have different priorities in what they want or need from a ROM, so what may be best for them may not be best for you).
That said, perhaps the best approach would be to look through the Android Development and Original Android Development topics and look at both the early posts (the OP, plus a page or two after), and the last page or two to get an sense of the install, the features, and the level of support you might get with each ROM. You will also be able to eliminate ROM's that are no longer supported (eg, I believe Scott is no longer supporting CR, so even though it was/is a great ROM, perhaps not the best to consider).
Also google the ROMs to see if there are any YouTubes showing the install and use of the ROM. There are many good reviews of ROMs and seeing them in action is a big help.
Last, a number of ROMs are being discussed on Google+ so you may want to check out that resource too.
And, it may also be a good idea to actually try the ROMs on your phone. ROMs can act differently on your phone than they might on mine.
Hope this helps!!
My recommendation is read all the rom threads as much a you can and experiment by trying them out. "Best of" rom threads are frowned upon because it generally discourages people to read and learn. I am going to close this and trust you will be able to find what you are looking for with some diligence and have fun trying. Thats what makes this site great!:good:
