[Q] Whites/Blacks on Galaxy S3 AMOLED Screen vs Galaxy S1 - General Questions and Answers

Here's the thing: I recently bought myself a Galaxy S3, coming from the original GT-I9000.
I've noticed that the blacks are 'blacker' and whites are 'whiter' on the S1 compared to the S3.
What? Why? I thought the S3 was supposed to be better :'( or is it just my device that is faulty?
I have attached an image I took in the dark comparing the whites on both using that app "LCD-Test(AMOLED READY)"
S3 Left and S1 on Right
Help me out please?

Galaxy Note 10.1 - backlight

Hi Guys,, I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 10.1 , l notice that the black background of S3 is much darker than the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Galaxy S3 - pure black background
Galaxy Note 10.1 - you will see the backlight on black background.
By the way, I am using pure black wallpaper, that's why I notice it.
Don't get me wrong both devices are okay and no problem encountered, this is just a casual question .
Thanks,.

This is normal the s3 has amoled display which in general has good black levels than the normal (pls screen in note 10.1 ) bec oled displays illuminates it self thus it doesnt need back leds to illuminate so when it is in black oled screens are actually off (not working in the black areas ) but pls screens are brighter and have more accurate colors

Why the Galaxy SIV photo leak is fake

A photo from evleak which is supposedly trustworthy came up recently showing the new Galaxy S4 compared to the older Galaxies.
Easily, you can see why it is a fake.

Also S4 in the picture doesn't have solid home button below the screen. I don't think samsung will make a change like this.

Galaxy S6 920X Display question

A friend gave me a Galaxy S6 920X (Demo Unit) and my Galaxy S6 has a cracked display. Will the display from the Demo unit work if I swap it out for my display?

Yes no problem
I would recommend you to do a mainboard-only replacement, because replacing only the screen is quite difficult and might damage your screen.

Galaxy S7 Edge Facing Pink and Green Tint Display Problems

Indeed Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the best Android device till date. But I am really shocked to see that Samsung has not paid attention to the material used for AMOLED display. The same pink tint issue was there in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Randomly many people are reporting pink and green tint issue on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge AMOLED display and it seems a hardware issue. Anyone of you facing the same problem? It should be covered under the warranty of Samsung.
If it's the same issue as in the video then you got the lemon. It is clearly defective.
I never have this problem.
