[Q] Can't connect to WEP WiFi

hi guys
after updating to the new firmware (still virgin not on CusRom), suddenly my phone can not detect wifi with WEP setting
please help me dude!

i cant connect to open wifi....i thing that you phone has a bug at the rom and my phone has a [email protected] protection which dont let the phone to connect...lol...if someone had the same problems and solved them please say

not yet to upgrading in custom rom

Have you tried repair using pc companion? Or settings - clear all?

How to get this menu?

This is from ninetology i9400 ics phone. For that phone, its definitely working without even rooting it. Is there any way someone can make this menu so we can have easy switching? Maybe incorporating it into custom roms? So we dont have to think about editing that vold.fstab?

[Q] How To Stop Moto G Updating To Kit Kat

New srock Moto G Stock not rooted. Initially I was only using WiFi and I was getting update notifications for Kit Kat which I was able to delay. Subsequently I have aded a sim card and service and now it shows update is currently being downloaded. How do I stop Kit Kat from being installed? If there is no way to abort the update will I be asked if I want to install once the update is finished? TIA.

yah... nothing wrong wif kitkat.. ablity to upgrd to kitkat is the main reason i buy this phone... user experience on kitkat 10* better than JB..
but if u realy dint want the kitkat u always cn reinstall JB stock firmware n ur r on corect place just search for guide here under q&a section

be careful as with other Motorolas happened downgrade can brick your device (ex Motorola razr I)

Once the update is downloaded you'll be asked whether you want to install it. Unless you root your only options is to delay the installation by 24 hours.

If rooted you can freeze the ota app with titanium backup.

Tell Google that, not us.

it's annoying for the system to be asking everytime if i want to update, it even says i dont have enough space to update and keeps asking. I heard of stopping motorola ota will solve the problem, untill now it has.

They will stop pushing the update in a few days ..Then maybe the notifications would stop popping up
Other than that...you will hv t root

I, like you, wanted to stop kitkat from updating over the air from ATT so I called them, they said there was nothing they could do, but to call Samsung. I called Samsung, they said there was nothing they could do, call Google.
Well, I didnt call Google, but I did find a work around, and that consists of clearing the android cache, and now I am not being nagged to update on a wifi connection by ATT. Actually, I am not being nagged at all at this point.
Here are the instructions for clearing the Android Cache: (as told by a Samsung Employee)
Zabrina: Please follow these steps:
Zabrina: 1.Power the device off (remove and re-insert the battery).
Zabrina: 2.Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Home key, then press and hold the Power key.
Zabrina: 3.When the first boot screen displays; release only the Power key.
Zabrina: 4.When the Android system recovery menu displays; release the Volume Up and the Home key.
Zabrina: 5.Navigate with the Volume keys to the wipe cache and press the Power key to select.

Anyone successfully installed HTC music player either from M8 or from M9? Tried some of the zips that are floating around but some libs must be installed via custom recovery and I don't wanna root at the moment.

It just miss the viper4android fx and a camera mod to enable 60 fps recording

Well the Oneplus One uses the same sensor. I won't be surprised if we get 60fps recording with in a future update!

Guys one qestion,in the m7-m8 i had i could send-connect to my bravia via upnp media server and send the media from htc to tv via dlna no miracast,,in a9 i think until now i cant do this,it finds only miracast devices ,and no dlna server,anyone have this problem?

I don't know , I have single sim but it will work on a dual sim as long as the firmware is based on dual.

Based on the baseband ending in -47 (as opposed to -57 as I've heard reported as the nougat ota baseband) I assume this does not touch baseband/modems at all?

It doesn' t touch the modem at all, so you'll have the same baseband as MM

Can i go back to my super optimized marshmallow with a twrp back up if anything goes wrong/dont like nougat?

This is smooth as silk. Now just need root to be complete. Thanks again man!

Couple things. Factory sounds don't seem to work in Gmail. and that notification "bug" exists In this build of nougat.

So, first I need to open bootloader, flash TWRP and then flash the update, am I right??

Till now, when I try to play sounds, nothing is played... But when a notification arrives, it works. At least, till now... Also tried to root with built-in su from Chinese twrp but ended with bootloop
