I want to wipe battery stats in clockwork mod on lg p500 on cm10 4.1.2 unofficial can I do it safely even though I flashed the ROM back in march? does doing this delete any data? I want to wipe battery stats for better battery life. thank you
That wipe battery stats is a placebo in the recovery
If you want to calibrate your battery search battery calibration app on play store
Either ways none of your data will be lost or deleted

Absolutely correct! Search the Play Store...top calibration app is great! Follow instructions exactly and read the review...there are some great tips! I had no issues whatsoever! Replaced a bad battery and used this to calibrate the new one...WORKS GREAT!

Go to settings--> About phone and check your battery use. Find out the apps which are draining your battery. If you have latitude installed , Then sign out of it.

How log is your battery lasting? It's normal if you drain your battery in one day with heavy usage . You can try to install Trinity kernels, TUV88 or TUV10 for lesser battery drain...

OK so i just got the Beanstalk jelly bean rom on my samsung infuse this morning and later on that day i've been noticing that my battery has been dying real quick.. So can someone help me or give me some advice to fix that problem? And there's a screenshot of my battery status below..
Whenever you flash a rom, always allow a couple days for the battery levels to stabilize. You just recently flashed it so it has to download, search files and whatnot and that drains the battery for the time being. The battery is going to give incorrect stats at first anyways because it needs to recoup and adjust to the new ROM too.

I'm not too caught up on jelly bean and ICS and anybody correct me if I am wrong but back in gingerbread it is a supposed Google os bug and can be remedied by pulling the battery wait 4 seconds then put back in and boot. It should have been fixed in ICS and jelly bean but I think I remember seeing small instances of it still. You could also clear dalvik cache and see if that helps too. It could also be the reason you asked about too. Never hurts to be too safe lol

Well i tried wiping the dalvik cache and i booted it back up. And it said "Android is upgrading" it confused me but i thought i fixed the battery problem but i come to see that the battery is still dying quick just like it usually is :crying:
The graph actually looks weird to me.
It shouldn't have any gap..
You clear all cache and factory reset right?
If so, fully charge and don't use. Check standby battery life. Then check tour battery percentage while actually using it.

Well... Yes i did factory reset but when i flashed it told me to wipe dalvik and wipe cache but i kinda forgot to do that so i had to take the battery out and go back into recovery mode and wipe cache and dalvik.. Do you think thats what i did wrong? And i dont know how to check standby battery life and Check tour battery percentage? Idk what that is
The gaps are just phone reboots. Nothing to worry about there. My guess is your media scanner is stuck on for some reason. Mine did this. It would destroy the battery in a few hours. I could watch the percentage drop. There's an app in the market that can stop it. That's what I did until I was able to reflash the ROM. Let me see if I can find the app for you.

This is what I used. I fixed it by reinstalling the ROM though. Factory reset, wipe dalvik, wipe cache, (under "mounts and storge") format system, format cache, format data, flash ROM, flash gapps, wipe cache, wipe dalvik.

thank you very much . the media scanner seems to have been my problem, as well . i was not experiencing awful battery life but my processor was stuck at the max and would not go down . horribly annoying . worse battery life, lag, et cetera . so thank you for helping me out without even meaning to do so . i appreciate it .

Thanks.. Now my music won't sync to my phone and it still says media server is still up in the battery use
Hi I am a total newbie in android and rooting. So a few months age I rooted my s2 using an insecure rom 4.0.4 bvlph. afrer a few my phone started turning itself off even when battery is near 100 percent . when i turned the phone on again it started saying low battery. This kept happening a lot and it has now come to a situation where i can not use the phone for more than an hour doing anything. I have attachdd a picture which shows the battery drain and how quickly it happens. I have also attached a picture which describes my phones details. I was suggested XDA by a friend and was hoping that someone can point me to the right direction.
Many thanks for your help.

You can try wiping battery stats, or flashing a new ROM altogether
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda premium
Try flashing stock rom via odin
Just Google it

Flash a new custom rom..
And do a full wipe before installation..
If that doesnt work then there is something wrong with ur battery

Although if his battery wasn't having this problem before, it seems unlikely that it just developed exactly when he rooted.
Like they all said though, do a full wipe before you flash a new ROM.

I think u should go with a new ROM
Flash a new ROM
Try underclocking ur new ROM

It looks like that this rom Network and Wifi is eating up your battery the most. I would say its cause that your network signal is poor and your phone keeps searching for a good signal and that is using up your battery. You can try flashing a new rom as well as getting a new card (transfer the number to a new sim card).
I've read on different forums that after flashing a new ROM it's important to calibrate the battery and some saying it doesn't matter. I really couldn't find anything about this directly here in XDA. So I'm curious, is calibrating necessary? Also, in recovery, there's an option to wipe battery stats, should I do this as well (before flashing a new ROM, of course)?

Wipe battery stats is practically calibrating and isn't necessary. Newer updates to cwm that option is gone.

The only time you should calibrate is when you update to a newer version of the rom your running without doing a complete wipe. Thats what i have been told and seen in other threads.

It means the battery you used already damaged, maybe you should buy a new one, I too have experienced it.
