If so can you review?

Still waiting on mine

I'm guessing they're a bit slow since the picture still shows an S3 and says:
Galaxy S3 pictured above. S4 picture will be updated as soon as it's released.

And they still don't have an S4 picture lol

I just got mine today. Sems to work fine. Fits under the original cover find. Although I feel it slightly (ever so slightly) buldges outward since when I put the phone back flat on a counter it can rock slightly, so that confirms its buldging outward. The charging thing is fine, although it didn't come with an adapter its just a USB cord that goes to a DC power (round) jack into the charging mat. So the USB part just goes into your existing charging adapter.

Got mine today. Works well, simple install but I do notice that NFC no long works. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

Mine didn't work when I just tested it, had some Samsung Tectiles sitting around.
Then took off the Qi receiver and it worked. Put the Qi receiver back on but made sure it was pushed as far left as possible while still on the contacts. Put the cover back on, and tested it again and it worked!
So I think the Qi receiver if not positioned properly is affecting the NFC antenna which is on the battery. Its basically covering a good portion of the battery.

I tried it, didn't work. I even slid the tectile under the receiver to see if it was covering the NFC antenna. Still nothing.

Have you tried just to remove the Qi receiver and put the cover back on and test it to make sure there isn't something else? If it works without the Qi receiver then it has go be the Qi receiver is blocking the NFC antenna too much.

I can get it to work with no Qi receiver, but no matter how I try to adjust the NFC tag or Qi receiver I'm getting nothing.
I'll keep playing with it to see if I can get it working. Thanks for the info. I'll post back if results change.

Yea the design of this Qi receiver wasn't done with NFC in mind since it blocks a good portion of the battery.

My NFC tag works with this wireless charger receiver installed. Reads tag just above the galaxy s4 logo

Has anyone gotten tasker to recognize the wireless charging?
Also, I've tried multiple different ways with NFC and tectiles. Nothing works. It's as if the Qi receiver is disrupting the NFC capabilities.

Anyone had any issues with this charger? By that I mean for the past few days since Ive got it I feel there is some flaw/issue with this.
It charged wirelessly just fine upto about 96-97%, no issues, then around that time (normally for me like 3-4am) it starts beeping. What I notice is that the charging mat goes has the green charging light go out, then come back on, causing the phone to beep saying "Charging Wirelessly" and it keeps doing this constantly every 30-60secs. It gets so annoying that I have to take it off the mat as I cant sleep with it constantly beeping. I tried to readjust the Qi receiver to make sure it wasn't the problem, still same thing. Tried using a different usb charger (instead of S4 supplied one, an iphone one since its a 1000mah one and not 2000mah one like the S4) and it still did the same thing.
Ive never had the charging mat show the FULL light.
Maybe I got a defective one. Not sure if the mat is defective or the receiver. Ive got a video of this as well (maybe send this to vivealive).

Mine only does that when the phone isn't placed properly on the charging pad.
I also have never seen the full light.

Count me in in not seeing the Full Charge indicator. I have emailed monsterwatts but haven't had any response. I've also had the same issue with the charger beeping regularly after it hits 100%. Not sure but might be returning this --if they ever respond.

Heres my video of what happens constantly starting at the 96% mark. After 5mins at 4am I just pull the damn thing off the charging mat. Sorry had to blur the screen, Im anal about that.

Mine has charged to 100% every time. I've been using it on the Google N4 charger though and not the charger it ships with.

Well woke up this morning to a dead phone. I woke up around 3am wondering why my phone hasn't beeped, so I turned the screen on, wouldn't turn on, Im like wtf? So I turned the phone on, and put it back on the mat. Fell asleep again, woke up at 8am and same crap. Both times the green charging light been on.
So then just hard plugged the phone in and it was charging, for some reason this time it refused the charge. This mat/receiver isn't looking too good for me now.

I'm getting the exact same thing. Its possible the charge mat is designed to trickle charge at 96% onwards. The phone may interpret this as being removed and then replaced on the charge mat.

No clue. I just know it's beeping constantly and annoys the crap out of me at 4am. So much that I just pull it off and leave it at 96-97%

Qi Wireless Charging Kit turns on and off repeatedly

I bought a generic Qi wireless charging kit. It has a white receiver which you open up the back cover of the galaxy s4 and then fit the prongs in place. Then closed the back cover and put it on my charger pad. The charger pad is powered by my OEM Samsung 2A output adapter so that should be plenty of power. There are two lights, one red that is constantly on which I assume is the power light. The other light is green, but it flashes. I'm not sure if it is supposed to do this, but pretty sure it is not as my phone will display a popup notification that wireless charging is enabled. One second later, the popup is gone and the battery icon no longer shows the thunderbolt charging symbol. Another second later, the notification comes back and the battery icon shows the thunderbolt charging symbol. So both the charger pad flashes and my phone's notification and battery charger icon appear and disappear every few seconds repeatedly, anyone know what is going on?
Kind of hard to tell without seeing which one you specifically have. Got any links? Have you made a good connection with the contacts on the back of the phone? And are you placing the phone in a good spot on the charger? I have 2 qi receivers like yours and I don't have these problems unless I'm using the official nexus wireless charger. I think the magnets in it do something to offset it. I have another wireless charging pad and I don't have these problems at all.

I actually do have the link: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/181216698737...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I made sure to buy the GS4 i9500 and almost certain this is a right purchase as the prongs fit perfectly. Based on the instructions, the actual charger is under the symbol/icon, which I have tried to place perfectly. Heck, I tried so many spots with no success. I'm not sure if the receiver is faulty or if the charge pad is faulty. I'm looking into a ChoeTech and Incipio Qi charger right now as its around 30 bucks and have quite some positive reviews.
Well that thing is one of the thicker ones. And I've never liked the design of it. I'd definitely switch receivers. Then chargers if you problem still occurs.
1. check to make sure the contacts on the receiver are not getting disconnected inside the phone.
2. you need to find the sweet spot on your pad when you put your phone on it
Well, I'm in the process of getting a refund on eBay. Guess I'll have to go for a more branded charger instead of some no-name generic.

wireless charging going bad?

I've had a Nexus 5 since mid November 2013. Each night it is charged on a Tylt charger, during the day at my office I have the newer Nexus charger. Within the past month, the Tylt has been intermittently not charging (the green light on the bottom won't light). I could sometimes have success if the phone was turned sideways. But the nexus charger would usually do the trick. Recently the Nexus charger won't get the phone in wireless charging mode either, whether the phone is on or off.
Anyone had wireless charging go bad? Anything to try other than call Google and swap it out? Sean

If you have access to another Qi Wireless Charger try it on that, otherwise it could just be a problem with the coil even though that's unlikely. Did you pull off the back cover at any time?

It's not 100% clear but I believe when he says the Nexus charger he means the Google Qi charging unit, so he would've tested it on there and the Tylt.
Question: Have you ever removed the backplate? Or maybe dropped the phone? If so one of the clips securing the backplate might have loosened.
Try pushing down on the back of the phone right around where the X or S is andif you hear a click it should've snapped back into place. This is most common for people who have removed their backplate.
The clip that's typically the problem can by located thus:
Form a cross (two perpendicular lines), with one line running along the bottom of the letters in NEXUS on the back cover, and the other line coming from the flash. The clip is located where those two perpendicular lines meet. Press down there to ensure it's properly seated.
The entire purpose of that clip is to ensure that the wireless charging contacts seat correctly. If that clip is unseated or broken, you'll (eventually, if not immediately) have wireless charging issues.
However, it doesn't take much to damage the wireless charging system in the N5. My first unit stopped wirelessly charging after I dropped it from a height of about 2 feet (from a seated position), and it landed flat on its back on a tile floor. Luckily, if you bought it from Google, it's still under warranty, and wireless charging not working is a valid warranty issue. (Hence, why I said "my first unit.")

[Q] Qi charger making device super hot

I'm coming from years of android phones and have always purchased wireless Qi adapters for them. After experimenting with several different brands of receivers over the years, I became a believer in the Nillkin brand. They cost a little bit more but they are way better built. I have always bought this receiver and have never had a single issue with mine or my wife's galaxy notes. I recently picked up a note 4 and after using it for a few days, I realized why I stay with the note brand. Absolutely amazing phone. Naturally I waited till Nillkin made an adapter for my phone and picked one up.
I placed it on charge the first night and when I picked it up in the morning, I nearly dropped it due it being so hot to the touch. That has never happened in any of my phones. Obviously something is not right with this thing.
Here's the weird thing....
I'm running "SmoothKat" rom but have a stock rooted back up. Oddly enough, when I restored to stock rooted and placed it on charge, It would still get quite warm but nothing like it was on the custom rom. I also tried turning off Fast charge option but no dice. Anyone have any advice? Is anyone else having an issue with the wireless charging making the phone hot?
BTW I'm using the TYLT Vu charger.
Thanks in advance...
Same charger here, using the OEM charging back. No heat issue.

Weird... It has to be this Nillkin receiver. I just searched around and noticed the Nillkin receiver has a significantly larger output of 850Ma. Most other receivers are 600-750 max. Could that be the issue?
I have a couple of receiver cards too, no heat issue with them but could not get tap to pay to work.
Hmmm that's never happened to me, and I have the same Nilkin charger. Maybe something with your phone?
Was the charger equally as hot?
Very strange. It seems the issue has worked itself out. I woke up yesterday and the note was slightly warm to the touch. This morning, completely normal temperature.... Weirdest thing... its like it learned what was going on in the past few days and fixed itself.... Mind blown.
Thanks for the help!
I had the same thing happen. I was using the OEM back with my TYLT, Airdock and Qi infinity chargers and it was running cool. The phone was too thick for my case so I switched to a Enpower transmitter with the original back. It was much slimmer but got WAY too hot. (I only tried it on my TYLT and decided not to F with it anymore.)

That's really weird. It may be something with our phones? I don't like the bulkiness of the oem cover so I was determined to figure out what the heck was going on. Shame I wasn't able to get to the bottom of this. Ill keep this thread updated as the days go by. I'm sure we aren't the only ones that had this issue.
Maybe they use the extra thicknesses for heat dissemination. It has a metal plate near the bottom on the inside, maybe that acts like a heat sink. I am sure their engineers did not take the decision to increase the thickness lightly, there must be a good reason...
And yes they should have baked it in by default. A flagship phone needs this built in, they were just greedy for accessory sales I guess.
Well, I'm glad the problem solved itself for you, OP. I don't know why that would have ever been an issue, but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Same problem here with *Nillkin receiver, my note4 get really hot on charge.
My nexus 7 gets hot when charged using Nokia wireless charger. It stays hot even after charging is done. As if it won't stop charging so the energy needs to be dissipated somehow how so lt just generates heat.
I would NEVER use wireless charger on my note 4 because heat kills battery life.
I use a cheap ebay charger and wireless receiver that fits into the normal backcover...
It warms up while charging but nothing too hot. Just like charging normally by cable... Ofcourse, the cheap wireless receiver only gets 600ma max from the wireless charger.

thats just silly. the note 4 stops charging and cuts off the qi charger when charging is done. you can see the wireless symbol disconnect.

Then the fault is with the Nexus 7 ? Sometimes i pick it up from the Nokia charger hours after it is done charging at it is still very warm, even almost hot.
Tbh I wouldn't be surprised. The nexus 7 I have has lots of issues like random reboots, touch screen issues. Many people have these problems. ASUS really screwed up the 2013 nexus 7.

Best wireless charger for galaxy s6

Hi XDA members
in your opinion what is the best wireless charger for galaxy s6
hope everyone give us the price and the link for the product
Well it really depends on your budget. In my case, I am on a tight budget so I'll probably settle on TechMatte Wireless Charger that is priced not more than $25. However, I would really like the official Samsung wireless charger that is priced at $45 on Amazon. It is good-looking, sleeker and has functional LED light indicator.
Here is a good article about S6 wireless charger:
http://www.androidauthority.com/best-wireless-chargers-samsung-galaxy-s6-600922/
Honestly anything that has 3 coils will do well for you. I recently purchased this charger from Amazon, and it's amazing. You don't have to play with alignment as there is more than one coil.

Yep.. ^^^^ what eep02b said.. I have the same exact one and it charges ridiculously good. No issues whatsoever. I've used a variety cases and it charges them with no issues. The thickest case I have is the Caseology and the Supcase.
I don't have the S6, but I do have the official Samsung charger.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Wireless-Charging-Pad-Packaging/dp/B00UCZGS6S
I'm using it for my S3, that has a wireless receiver inside since my charging port is rather finicky these days. It works fine for that and it's nice that it's low profile, which is what I wanted.
The downside is that since it's flat, not very useful if you wanna watch movies and such, but that doesn't bother me since I only use it before I go to bed. I generally don't run into alignment issues with it, but always a possibility with the single coil setup.
The official Samsung one works with any Qi enabled device, though if you are using it for any other device, besides the S6, like I'm currently doing with my S3, the LED indicator will not tell you when it's fully charged. It'll just tell you when it's on the pad.
I don't mind since I just use my phone's LED indicator light to let me know when it's fully charged. But, keep that in mind, if you want to use it for phones other than the S6.
The 3 coil setup is better in that you won't run into any alignment issues like you can run into with single coil set ups. If you get something like this TYLT charger, you can definitely watch movies and such since it's propped up.
http://www.amazon.com/TYLT-Wireless-Charger-all-Phones/dp/B00DG8NUC8
One other thing you wanna keep in mind with wireless charging in general. It will NOT charge your phone as fast as using the AC adapter (especially since it has fast charging capabilities) the phone came with. If you wanna charge your phone fast, wireless charging isn't the way to go. It's more of a convenience thing. Figured you knew that, but a friendly reminder never hurts.

Yeah I got this one aswell for bedroom, and I have the round original Samsung one for desktop. Samsungs has too bright blue leds to use in bedroom so its more suitable for desk.
Both works great, no issues at all. Might get the QiStone+ later on so that I can have a portable battery with wireless charging capabilities.
Have any of you with that Choe charger used any sort of app to measure what sort of charging current you're getting?

Do you have this issue with yours?
No, the only problem that I have with it is when my phone is fully charger and then the screen of my s6 lights up and the sound of the wireless charging plays, and its keep on doing it ever minute or so... I don't know if its the charger fault or the device itself
I have 3 of these around the house, work just fine for me, and they come in different colors and shapes;

I have the same issue, the wireless charger charges my phone just fine. I have 3 separate ones and they all do it, once it gets to 100% it keeps making the charging noise on and off as it looses a bit of power and starts charging again, kind of annoying when it's by your bedside lol. Anyone know how to fix that?
I have the official Samsung charging pad, works like every other wireless charger. Not sure if it was worth the $40 I got it for but the charging LED is handy and it isn't too bright to sleep with (my opinion). It doesn't have any starting/stopping charging issues at 100%.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JA7HNZO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Just bought this a few days ago, absolutely love it. I've set it down maybe 50 times, never missed a charge or needed to re-position it. For $25, you can't go wrong. Only minor down side is the surface is pretty smooth, so people without a case, I could see this sliding off. I use a clear Spidgen case, and have no issues at all charging with the case on.

Wireless charging issues

Sometimes my Note8 does not charge on my Samsung fast wireless charger. No, this is not a position issue.. Sometimes, it just doesn't charge. The solid bluelight of the wireless charger although turns on. The only way for me to wireless charge again in this state is for me to reboot the phone.
Anyone else run onto this? Very annoying and it happens at random times.

I am surprised no one ran into this issue. The only thing I can think of that would cause this is some service I disabled.
I have the same issue and unfortunately have not figured it out. Mine will charge for about 10 seconds then will start blinking, I am using the dock fast charger from before the note 8 though not the newest one.

I had the same issue when trying to use the older wireless charging stand. I think it's a power issue because I tried an older iPad charging block (one of the bigger ones that has higher wattage or voltage or whatever) and it charged fine on the older stand. It didn't say it was fast charging but it did charge faster than average. I think I'll just stick to the newer charging base I got from the Note 8 promotion.
I had the same issue. I realized the case that i was using was the issue. Had to take it off to use the wireless charging.
I noticed the same thing recently. The wierd thing is, I also have the old original flat slow wireless charger and I use tha every night with a case, it just won't work on the fast dock one. Only without the case, or I think if i lay it sideways it works.

This issue has to do with power supply. Try different cables or wall plugs. I have had this issue in the past it could be sending too much or too little voltage. It blinks like that and turns off to protect your device from getting damaged.
I actually had to use an older wall plug to get my older wireless charging pad to work. The quick charge wall plug was pushing too much voltage.

if I remove the case it works perfectly. With the case its the 10 second deal; However, I took your advice and switched out the charging brick to another samsung fast charger ( all i have to test with at the moment) and it looks like it may work. I will see if I have a better one at home but it may just be with the case its having to emit more power like you mentioned. not sure but ill try that out for now.

Looks like a common issue where the old wireless charger (pre S8 ones) had problems. My fast wireless charger had no issues with the S7, just the Note 8.

Many users are facing this problem. While searching the web I found one user giving the best solution for this problem at Samsung community, He says that he has the same issue if the phone is standing straight up. However, when he put it on its side he never seems to have the problem.

Yeah. I saw that but its still not working correctly for me.
Anyone notice that it only charges when the screen is OFF?
I have this issue sometimes randomly on the new flat fast charger. Does this with my wifes S8 as well. My older standing type fastcharger that I got for my Note 5 works flawlessly. I feel like it's the flat fastcharger base itself.
Ummm... now this crazy phone is charging FLAWLESSLY. And I havent changed a thing...
