Focus brick, please help! - Focus Windows Phone 7 Development

Hi, i´m stucked on brick. I buy this phone on ebay for parts on the back says REV 1.3 but when i try to restore in WP7 7.41 says WP7_PRODUCT_4K_DETECTED CC if i try to restore with 1.3 says that is not correct. (try rogers and at&t)
Sometimes goes to recovery, something not.
magldr is installed, and when i try to install a rom for 1.3 says something that block number is incorrect.
any possible solution or is dead?
thanks!
PD: if i try to flash 1.4 custom rom
i get this error.
[Error Description]:
OS flash failed
[Info]: USBWorkDWPI.cpp (423)
[Error Description]:
cmd flash data failed
[Info]: USBWorkDWPI.cpp (348)

This is your usb is not good I think, try using another USB location with another cable.

[Q] Bricked phone

Hello. I've got a problem with booting. I tried to install a new FW, but got an error after that I couldn't boot it at all. I've tried to reinstall recovery, using odin and it can see my phone, but the screen is black and when I want to install ANYTHING, it stucks at "Setup connection"..
I've tried to change the ports, extract/insert the battery, reboot my pc, remove my SD and Sim, turn off the Kies, but nothing helped.
What to do? Does anybody know?
Please, help me. I have broke my head

But I can't.. When I try to boot with download mode, then odin can see the port(yellow), but the screen is black and odin stucks at "Setup connection"... and no matter what I'm trying to install.. I just don't want to take it to SC, cause it costs a lot, that's why I'm here.
Any ideas?

try to remove battery for a while then plug it in again and then enter the phone into download mode, connect it to usb and run Odin (see results if Odin has recognized your device)
*Remove the battery.
*Connect the phone via USB cable to pc(without battery).
*Press & hold Volume Down+Home+Power buttons(without battery).
*& while keep holding these 3 keys, insert the battery.
Now try updating via Odin.
If still fails then u can't do anything else.

Need help with potential softbrick with G955F

Hi guys,
I need help with my G955F. I was on Carotid's ROM and attempted to flash the AQL5 (BTU) firmware downloaded from Samfirm to go back to stock. The flash failed during writing the system.img and now it is stuck on the "Error has occurred while updating the device software" screen.
I can get into Download mode and I can boot into TWRP using ODIN.
Each attempt to flash a firmware in ODIN throws up a "FAIL" during the system.img write portion.
Each attempt to reflash a ROM from my external SD card in TWRP throws up an error while writing to system. /System is unmounted when I start up TWRP and I have to manually mount it each time.
The phone is "not supported" in Samsung Smart Switch.
Anyone have any ideas?
Never mind!
I noticed that whenever I plugged the phone into the PC when the "Error has occurred while updating the device software" screen was on it flashed up as "added" in Odin.
So I tried flashing the stock AQL5 firmware while on this screen and it worked!
I'm just going to leave this here because it's an avenue I never considered and haven't seen online.

Good observations.
You are correct, if the first flash fails, immediately re-enter download mode and flash again.

Yeah, but that's the thing. I wasn't even in Download mode for the successful flash. I was just on the Emergency Recovery screen and when I started the firmware flash, a small progress bar appeared on the screen below the text.

Have not heard of that before - new to me, interesting find.
So the way to replicate is . . .
The way I got there was to have a screwed up install. I tried to flash a stock firmware and it generated a FAIL in Odin during the /system.img write.
The phone then rebooted to a pale green screen with a large triangle and exclamation mark advising me that the phone was in Emergency Recovery Mode and I should restore it by plugging it into a PC with Smart Switch installed.
Interestingly, Smart Switch refused to recognise my phone, saying it was an "unsupported device".
After numerous attempts to flash new firmware through Odin and TWRP (even using the two-step method of getting into Download mode) and using different cables/ports I was planning on getting it professionally repaired until I noticed that when Odin was running and I plugged the phone in, with the emergency screen on, it was "added" as it would be during Download Mode.
I loaded up the AQL5 firmware, and tried to flash. A progress bar appeared under the text on screen and it got about halfway through flashing /system when it failed again, but this time it has progressed much further than any other attempt.
I then reset everything, used an official Samsung cable and a port directly connected to the motherboard on my PC (I had been using a USB extension cable before) and attempted another flash and it worked!
I don't know how you would go about replicating those circumstances without risking your phone but if you find yourself stuck in the same situation, give it a try.
It worked for me.
Thanks, ianrobbie.

Need help with my samsung galaxy tab 3 lite!!!

So one day I decided to flash custom ROM onto my Samsung galaxy Tab 3 Lite (SM-T110) and I used Odin and was new to the whole Rom flashing thing, and so It messed up during flashing and I was stupid and unplugged my tablet and now it is stuck in the download mode saying "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue, please use KIES and try again" something along those lines, and I tried looking it up and tried to fix it, like holding down power button and hard rebooting, didn't work, which now, every time I plug it into my pc to try a flash factory ROM and it keeps turning on and off on the error screen. So can someone help? I cant take it apart because I am using a screwdriver and it is damaging it, to try and take out battery and put it back in, and I'm not buying one of those plastic tools, I want to but, its just for another reason why I can't, So can anyone help? Thanks!

So I downloaded it and it was in .tar format. do I need to convert it? because in ap it doenst show up, it shows file formats and .tar is not one of them.
EDIT: never mind used WinZip, and added it, but like I said, every time I plug my tablet into my pc, it turns on, shows the download mode error screen and turn off, then turns right back on, with same screen, and so on and so on. so I really cant do anything till that is fixed...any suggestions? Ok just fixed the turning on and off thing, I had best idea, hold power button and plug in cord, then let go of power button and it should stay on now
EDIT: just plugged into my pc and its doing it again, it worked with charging cable, but I guess since I unplugged it, it stopped working, ill see when I get home from school and try again
Also turns out the screen only flashes on and off, when it is connected to my pc, when it is to the wall, its fine, so I need to figure that out
Ok it works with my tablet plugged into the "charging only" port basicly, but it does both charge and can send data. But every time I try to flash i on Odin, It always fails, so idk what to do

ok I fixed it, using this link https://www.full-repair-firmware.com/2017/11/full-firmware-t110.html
ok good
But it made it a different language upon setup but I can change to English, but it installs like 4 applications every time I reset it and boot it up, I can uninstall them, but its annoying, and the app called calendar or is supposed to be, is called s planer, I don't like it so I'm trying to find a stock ROM for it so it is back to normal.

For future reference, when flashing via Odin, make sure you have a good cable that makes a good connection with your device, it can't be a cable that is loose or is tricky about getting it to keep a consistent connection. Also, when flashing the device, do not touch or move the device and do not disturb the surface that it is resting on. These things can cause the device to disconnect during flashing, if that happens, that is what causes the issue that you are having.
Samsung devices can still be flashed via Odin while it is booted into the "encountered an issue" screen. The problem you are going to have is getting the device to stay on the "encountered an issue" screen long enough to allow Odin to completely flash the device.

Hard Brick, no Mtk Device

I was downgrading my Redmi 9A to 12.0.10 to install a custom rom, but I didn't flash userdata, thinking it wouldn't mess up fastboot, and after that it didn't want to boot anymore. It wouldn't go to recovery, fastboot or system. The phone screen would show no signs of life, no vibrations on button presses either.
After that I tried to use SP Flash Tool to flash 12.5.4 by following this post. During that process, the phone was showing up (on linux) as MT followed by 4 digits and disappearing shortly after, in intervals. I had to try different versions of the bypass and flash tool, and once it recognized the device it failed to flash with an EXTERN RAM ERROR. My phone has 64GB storage and 4GB ram, so that might have been an incompatibility with the scatter. I had selected all flash options, including preloader, so something might have gone wrong there too.
After that, the phone didn't show up on the usb device list anymore, and still displays no sign of life on any input. I did try pressing combinations of power, vol up and vol down before connecting the usb cable to no avail. Now I think the only solution is to send it to a shop for a test point, unless it decides to appear again on the devices list. But, before that, is there something I have missed and could try?
Try reconnecting the battery and flash again?
Okay, that happened and it worked.
Every time I run the bypass_utility and fail to flash it gets stuck there, but it resets once the battery runs out (or is disconnected, which I couldn't do)
Once the battery was at 0% I could keep trying again and again, and I found out I was getting the RAM error because I was trying to flash the wrong version (12.0.10). Once I tried to flash 12.5.8 it worked, and I then went to fastboot and flashed 12.0.10 without the preloader.
So, for anyone with the same issue:
- Download Live DVD V4 and boot on it.
- Run bypass utility
- Go to SP Flash Tool, select No_Auth.bin and 12.5.8 scatter. I think mine worked with 12.5.8 because that was the version I had before bricking, but try others out.
- Make sure you're on "Download Only" and flash all
- If you fail and the device doesn't show up anymore, wait for the battery to discharge.
It is useful to keep a terminal with dmesg -w running, to look at failed usb connections.
