Thread moved and retitled as work in progress, let's give the OP the benefit of the doubt and try to help him get the build working correctly.
To the OP, you need to provide kernel source and proper credits and thanks. I highly suggest you read the following link and try to get your thread caught up to standard. Then let us know for proper thread assignment.

Could be cool. Post your source.

[ROM]Epic MIUI v4 Installer and Customizer Beta 5

What is this?
This is a zip file that you will flash through CWM that allows you to install and customize MIUI v4. Once you choose the zip in CWM you are presented with a GUI that will allow you to select the kernel you want as well as what extra apps you would like installed, including what launcher you want. Once you have chosen all of your extras then it will install MIUI v4 with those options included. Right now it is very basic, but I keep adding options week by week.
Current Version
Version Beta 5 - 6/10/2012 (hosting provided by Marcusant) min.us mirror
Normally I run these through the paces, but I won't have time to test this. Let me know if any problems occur.
Updated Nyan Colonel to V5 provided by Marcusant
Updated to MIUI 2.6.1 provided by darklichny
Updated ShadowKernel to v0.6.3.3 provided by bbelos
Updated stock CM9 kernel to Beta 4 provided by EpicCM team
Added several apps
Instructions
If comming from any version of MIUI ICS:
Always make a backup
Flash with CWM
Follow the on screen instructions
Button Configuration:
Up/Down = Volume Keys
Accept/OK = Camera Key
Back = Soft Touch Back Button
Touch screen works for the non-button items
If you are currently not on ICS MIUI use the following instructions provided by rootxda
rootxda said:
1. Flash back to Stock after making backup...I flashed back to FC09 not deodoxed. Let Reboot
2. Flash Clockwork Mod
3. Once it goes back to CWM, then I converted BML to MTD. This will leave you in a bootloop. Pull Battery....Three Finger Salute, then
4. Flash another MIUI rom first, once it loads up completely like everyday use, turn off phone.
5. Then go back to CWM and flash v4
6. It seemed to flicker to me at first, but keep screen on and run a couple minutes. Then Modifiy to your Desires!!

Suggestions
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
If you managed to come across a bug, which at this point wouldn't surprise me, let me know and I will try to fix it as soon as possible.
Oh and of course, the usual jargon that I am not responsible if you somehow managed to mess up your phone or for that matter your computer.
If there are any apps or other things you would like included, just let me know, I would like to accomodate as many people as i can.
Change Log
Version Beta 4 - 4/15/2012 (Dropbox Mirror)
Fixed calibration, so that the buttons can be touched
Updated Nyan Colonel to V4.1 provided by Marcusant
Updated to MIUI 2.4.6 provided by Marcusant
Instead of installing the extra apps to system, most will be moved to installing in /data in order to allow them to be more easily removed
Added Voodoo Sound app
Added NSTools app
Version Beta 3 - 4/08/2012 (Dropbox Mirror)
The cache and dalvik cache will now be wiped properly, however, that is all that will currently wipe. The rest of the full wipe will come later.
Version Beta 2 - 4/07/2012 (Dropbox Mirror)
Updated to Nyan Colonel v3 which is provided by Marcusant
Updated to the MIUI 2.3.30 build which is provided by Darkierawr
Version Beta 1 - 4/02/2012
Added the Shadow kernel provided by bbelos
Version Beta 0 - 3/31/2011
Installer will actually flash a working 2.3.16 MIUI v4, just like the last non-test build
Version Alpha 0 - Initial Release - 3/30/2011
Installer runs, but won't create a real working MIUI yet
Basically it is eye candy at this point
Thanks
xboxfanj - For helping get MIUI to where it is today on our phone.
Marcusant for getting MIUI V4 to its current awesomness and for the Nyan Colonel
Darklichny for taking MIUI V4 to a whole new level
EpicCM Team for CM9 Kernel as well as CM itself
amarullz for creating the Aroma Installer
darkierawr for helping tremendously with MIUI v4
bbelos for the Shadow Kernel
Everyone else who makes this community what it is, including but not limited to ACS, IAP, and Epic CM, Epic 4g Port teams.
If you feel i have not given you credit for something, or simply want something you've done not included, just let me know.

Thank you.
Well, I finally managed to fix it. Thanks to darkierawr suggestion, i took a closer look at the files being copied over and sure enough there was some stuff that didn't need to be there. The installer will now flash a working version of MIUI 2.3.16. It's just like if you downloaded 2.3.16 from roms.miui.us, only my installer/configurator is on top of it.
If you run into any problems, let me know. It's still in beta, because i know some of the features aren't there yet. I would also like to include whatever apps i can that people would use. So, feel free to make any suggestions.

What is SynergyROM nightly?

I'm just wondering what it means by Nightly.
I think I understand that, small updates will be released like right now it's at r75
How do we install them? Do we need to wipe?
Or do we just use CWM and install?
I recently had this question too. I was under the impression that a new ROM was put out every night and after reading the synergyrom thread I figured out that the ROM only changes when the number advances, e.g. r73, r74, r75.
Each day you'll see a new ROM link listed with the r##. If its still for example r73, then nothing has changed.
Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe nightlies give the dev's the liberty to keep tweaking it without having to update the original post all the time. Instead you can see a changelog if you visit the dev's github.
Just reference the first post and you'll find the links for the ROM download page and even the changelog page.
If you are not coming from a recent synergyrom build I'd fully wipe and then flash this in CWM.
Happy Flashing!

Has there been any progress on this ROM?
Why is porting so hard
As far as I understood, to get a new Android on Device X is as following: :silly:
1) Download latest CM-ROM
2) Copy drivers from Device X´s stock ROM to latest CM-ROM
3) Configure build.prop eg. screen resolution/DPI&co.
4) Zip and flash it
Am I right? Wrong? :cyclops::fingers-crossed:

I wish it were that simple
The thing is that there could be kernel and initramfs changes necessary, which is something to be built from source. Also, there are device specific files spread all over the ROM, not to mention architecture differences and lack of space. Therefore, it's better to build from source by forward porting the device

I have a build of NamelessROM 2.0 on GDrive but it's not suitable for daily use. Also, due to the ever-increasing resource usage of Google Play Services, Android seems to be no match for our low end devices. I'm giving one last try for Omni 7.1 and if that doesn't work out, I'll scrap Android for Ubuntu Touch

CyanogenMod and D2VZW: Together Again!
--------------------DANGER!! CMUpdater is providing the new CM13 Marshmallow nightly builds and notifying you of an update. IT SEEMS THERE ARE NO MORE UPDATES FOR CM12! 12/10 seems to be the last one. If you flash CM13 without looking into things first, you could be in for a world of hurt! Check out invisiblek's Official CM13 Nightlies thread in this same forum. BEWARE!!--------------------
De-unified Lollipop builds for the Galaxy S3 line. This is for the Verizon variant (SCH-I535) only
CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Notes:
Please Use Firmware: VRBMF1
and
Modem/Baseband Version: NE1 (Also, see "Notes - Possible Bugs" section below)
(EDIT: The following statement might not be true. It happened to one user. Unsure about circumstances... If you've done it or want to try, please tell us what happens.)If you have recently downgraded firmware from 4.3 to 4.1.2, DO NOT flash the MF1 firmware. You'll brick your device!
If you know you never took the 4.3 OTA, then you can flash the firmware and modem to your hearts content.
CWM Recovery addicts: Please seriously consider giving up CWM and come on board with what works for sure with 5.1.x, TWRP. Problems have been coming up with CWM users so if you have one, that's were to start. Hopefully there's a 12-step program somewhere for y'all

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit the Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Regarding the Stagefright Exploit: The latest patch update to protect against the security vulnerability was merged for the 8/14 nightly. Please update to that or later to make sure you are fully protected, though work still continues.

Download Links :: Download Links Broken!! - On or about 12/18 the links for 12.1 ceased to function. The links for 12.1 and 13 are all listed on the same page at the moment as well. While 12.1 builds have continued to come out every few days or so for other devices, the last one for the d2vzw is for 12/10 at the moment. I don't know if this is a temporary of permanent state of affairs but inquiries are forth coming. In the mean time, the 12/10 build is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below so at least we got that, thanks to XdrummerXboy.
Also, if you have a build from about 11/15 and later hanging around you could upload it for others to access, if need be, by following the instructions from this post: Upload Instructions

TK Modular GApps by TKruzze. Get your GApps from the Master. Follow his installation instructions.
Open GApps:opengapps.orgThey are modular AND have the option of Aroma Installer. Updated daily. Very interesting story on these. There is the website, and an XDA thread.
>>>WARNING!!<<< The first time one installs Open GApps, you have to do it with a ROM update (or reinstall current ROM) AND manually wipe the system partition first. Then install the ROM and the GApps normally, then wipe Dalvik and Cache. After that, you can flash them anytime. (More info on Website.) ALSO, for now, don't install Webview as it might not work. There is an "Android System Webview" in the Play Store that will work.
Other Options:
The Gapps Central For those of you who just have to be different, a GApps Smorgasbord, by TheXGX
Banks Gapps removed after just one too many malfunctions... If you use 'em and have a problem, update from the Play Store your offending app or flash one of these others, but don't come complainin'.

A MF1 firmware only zip is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link below, as well as individual modem choices.
Other Possibly Useful Stuff
d2vzw ROM Extras
Link to TWRP Recovery You can flash the .img file right in TWRP recovery 2.8.4 or later!
- All you ever wanted to know about how Cell service works but were afraid to ask: Cell Wiki
- Samsung Galaxy S 3 the most popular phone of all time? Still? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_III
Notes - Possible Bugs
Bluetooth observed as flaky with some connected devices.
CMUpdater apparently only functional with TWRP 2.8.7.0
4G/LTE Data might not start on bootup (lately) - With Wifi disconnected or off, go to Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names and select one of those not already selected. Give it a few seconds. Should be good till next reboot.
Addendum to Data Issue: If you can't live with the above solution (like me) then downgrading to the ML1 modem has fixed it, seemingly without any ill effects. Modem is in the "d2vzw ROM Extras" link above.
>>Attention ATT, T-Mobile and other GSM Network Users (International)<<
If you use your d2vzw on one of the GSM networks, you will have to flash the d2gsm_rilblobs.zip file in the 'd2vzw ROM Extras' link above or your phone won't operate properly!
The CyanogenMod team (of which I'm not a member) always thanks everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy!
Another Note: CM12 was introduced to our phone first by mastamoon and Invisiblek: Many thanks to them! There may be data on those threads that can help someone, so I've included those links for reference:
