Wireless Charger for Nexus 4 - Daily Deal - Nexus 4 Accessories

I thought that at $25, this is the cheapest Qi charger that I've found recently. It's on this daily deal site that I've bought a bunch of stuff from. No complaints here.

Reviews on Amazon our 4/5 stars, so this might be a good alternative for us.

I saw this too. But I've seen so many mixed reviews with this charger and the nexus 4 it's hard to say if it's worth chancing it. I buy lots of stuff there too.

But didn't search XDA??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1435827
I hope this is what you are looking for...it's about as close as you are going to find to original and I use 2 of them so I know they work for data and charging.
i bought mine
my stock one got chewed up by my dog, i found that most micro-usb cables in my house only worked for charging,
finding one on ebay worked best. it looked more generic than most, no stickers on the back, but oddly enough, its the same (exterior looking) one that came with my galaxy tab.
my choice: ebay- cheap and quick shipping
Get it from samsung

Forget stock go to radio shack buy gold tipd micro usb/data cable. $30 and ten times the quality
Or order from monoprice for excellent quality inexpensive cables and don't look back. Do not waste $30 on a freaking cable.

I'm sure its good quality and all, but I paid under $10 for the one I got from Amazon.com (link above to the other thread) and it has worked for everything just fine. I have 2 of them now and I use them both for charging and data transfer all of the time. I guess it all depends on personal preference and how much you are willing to pay, but for $30 you can get three cables (and the 1 amp chargers with them) from Amazon if you are willing to wait 3 or 4 days for delivery. Of course, there is always the chance of getting a bad one when the seller sells 100s or 1000s of them but the same holds true for Radio Shack. I can only report the results I got.
I think the OP should buy one from Amazon.com ($10) and send me $10 also...still saving $10 in the process.
I prefer the stock SGH-i777 charger and cable over the SGH-i727 ones. You can get factory 2nd OEM ones on ebay for less than $5 with free shipping.

Just a warning. Factory second means they have some scratches on the plastic charger. But the cables were brand spanking new. I ordered 3 of these. The SGH-i777 cables are a tad longer and feels more durable.
Get one here. 6ft gold plated for mega cheap.

You should never pay more than this for a silly cable. I have at least 4 of these and never had any problems.

Palm Pre Inductive Charging Solution (Touchstone)

I believe the OEM charging block for this phone is supposed to be around $80 when it comes out. I was looking on Amazon and I saw they are selling the original Touchstone for the Palm smartphones for dirt cheap [$6.93]. The design is very similar to the OEM one and I'm not sure if it using the Qi standard (what the Nexus 4 uses), but there is a YouTube video of a guy charging his Lumia 920 (which uses Qi) and it works. I am still waiting to get my Nexus 4, so it will be sometime before I can try it out. If there is anyone who has a Nexus a4 and is willing to try this, I think it will help the community greatly.

Search. It has been stated thousands of times that the palm charger does not and will not work.

TYLT VU Wireless charger - looks promising

or as the author of the article points out: The first thing at CES I actually want, now.
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...vu-a-wireless-qi-charger-that-actually-works/
Information on the website is also scarce with only a Coming Soon badge at the top of the product page. (http://www.tylt.com/vu/)
Couldn't agree more... This one really looks great, and no risk of slipping from it i'd say...
I don't understand why there aren't more Wireless chargers available, not to mention the google one, the technology isn't that new...
Yup, looks good. I'm hesitant to pick up anything until Google releases the orb, or at least I see the orb in action. But I like the look of this one.
I keep throwing my credit card at the screen, but nothing happens.

Same here. The corning gorilla glass 3 ad keeps popping up lol.
Happy to see a promising looking Qi wireless charger but not happy that there is no price set or release date... We already have enough vaporware Qi chargers to last several product cycles...

This is actually the first Qi charger that looks good, and also has some practicality. I definitely will buy it for $69.99, it looks like it has a premium feel to it
I already have an Energizer which was going to tide me over until the official Orb was released.
I'd snatch up that TYLT one in April if it wasn't so pricey... For $70 I'll just wait for the Orb.
No thanks.

I really doubt the orb will be a reality. The Q was canned and never returned. LG can barely keep up with demand and is now rumored to have stopped Nexus 4 production completely. You can't even get a bumper for the device. I really highly doubt that the orb will happen. If you do any searches regarding it, most of the results are "where is the orb?" and many are posted prior to Christmas (it was announced by Google in October, and like I mentioned about the Q, it isn't the first time Google got people excited about something that didn't pan out). So I hate to rain on the parade but I highly doubt it will happen. Even then it may release and be plagued with issues. I saw the CES review on Android Police and the VU seems to be a great device. Not awkward or a pain to charge, just drop the device anywhere on the pad and good to go!
I wonder what they mean by "Output Current 5 Watts" on their product site. 5A? Noo

It's not that hard to modify one to be completely wireless yourself...

Too bad it's a bit expensive. But yeah, most QI chargers are that price range.
The amazon page lists support for the nexus 5. Lugolake is in the know.

The one review on amazon that includes the N4 didn't rate this charger well. In fact it mentions that same problem I've had with any Qi charger and the N4...placement is critical and must be precise, and you have to check several times after placement to make certain that it's actually still charging.

I'd be happy to test it out; I've used choetech products before, and am excited to see you're putting out a type c charger with support for the 5v/3a standard. I'd be particularly curious to test it against the stock charger google provided. I have already received my nexus 6p, so I'm ready to test.
