Hi,
I am using FXP CM9 145 on my Xperia Neo V,Can I use other ROMS with the FXP kernel ?If not, what should I do to use other ROMS ? If I replace the FXP kernel with another kernel then the phone refuses to go into CWM recovery and process.google.com stops working
Thanks
FXP KERNEL should work with Cm based Roms
And for other Roms
There are already many kernels available in Dev forum of Neo V
Flash that
It has cwm inbuilt in them
And then flash any other Rom
Ps :Use stock Ics based kernel for stock Ics based Roms

There is no such kernel for neo or neo v
It's for Arc or Arc S only!
Try super stock kernel instead!

If you have time try new CyanogemMod 10 Release 209. {MIRO/TIPO/J}[DEVELOPMENT] - CM10 - FreeXperia Project
And custom kernel ... no one yet for JB but with CM10 and some tweaks , i take Lags to minimum.
Hope some dev will bless us with some good kernel with OC , UV and UFC. :fingers-crossed:
ok..
Can i use any custom rom like xperience or cyanogenmod with Vengeance kernel??

Which vengeance version did you flash?
Everything under 1.40 is not very stable because it still has overclocking features, which makes the phone reboot once a while, partly depending on the governor and scheduler.
The last version (1.46) should not reboot as far as I know.

I flashed 1.46
On first boot it took me to the app optimization screen then it switched off
Then I booted again, it took me upto the setup guide then it switched off again
Third time it took 2 mins before it switched off again!
Here's what I did-
I was on CM10
I flashed stock ftf
Then flashed kernel.elf
Then I rebooted
Did I miss something?
Do I need to flash those modules?
which one 3.0.8 or 3.4? Or both?
Now m back to CM, collecting info then I will flash again.

Hi. I'm using Xperia J and running on FXP 220 CM10. It's ICS based. I've been searching for custom kernel that actually can overclock ny android. I found nothing so far.
When I used rooted stock JB, I use vengeance kernel, and it worked well.
I've tried using the vengeance on CM10. My phone did not boot.
So, is there any kernel that can overclock my Xperia?

Vengeance is an ICS based kernel. CM is JB based. They are not compatible with each other, that is why your device didn't boot.
We have no JB based kernels what have been overclocked unfortunately, this means that you have to use the boot.img (it contains the kernel and a few other items needed for the phone to boot) provided in the CM zip file.

CM is not overclockable as we don't have an overclocked boot.img file. And I don't own an Xperia J, only Miro.
I've seen some reviews on Xperia J that say Vengeance Kernel makes it clock at 1.3Ghz speed?Like the title says will my phone get a better benchmark score If I install Vengeance Kernel.
Can I flash the kernel to my phone using flashtool without unlocked bootloader
Thanks and hoping for an answer

No,You must unlock bootloader.
Vengeance kernel will overclock from 1ghz to 1.3ghz,nothing special
Xperia J (Jelly Bean) + overclock1,3Ghz vengeance kernel = more laggy then not overclocked kernel 1Ghz
ICS + 1.3 = perfect!

This overclock is unstable.
1.3 ghz?
You browse Qualcomm website to see Snapdragon S1(Xperia J Proccesor) maximum clocked speed is 1 ghz only.
