[Q] HTC one x stuck on htc logo - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hello, yesterday I've unlocked my phone - there was no problems at all. Then i wanted to put cm on. Downloaded one from this adres: http://get.cm/?type=RC, then i forgot to copy the files on my phone and flashed with rom extracted from the package. After that phone is stuck on htc logo. Cannot connect it to the pc as a storage. Tried to format Dalviks cache, factory format, recovery in clocwork all with no results. If anyone could help me i would be extrmly grateful. Thanks

Evita download isn't even on that page -_- Are you using an evita htc one xl? If not, wrong forum. If so:
download a rom from this Forum section, if you like AOSP, there's a bunch to choose from in Original android development.
download twrp 2.3.3.1 do not use any version above 2.3.3.1
Check MD5 of your downloads, make sure it matches.
Reboot to bootloadrer
fastboot flash recovery twrp2.3.3.1filename.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Select recovery from bootloader
Mount USB storage
Copy your rom over.
wipe cache, dalvik, system, factory reset
Flash your rom zip file
If you are S-OFF or your hboot < 1.14 reboot you're done.
If your hboot >= 1.14 and S-ON extract the boot.img from the rom you downloaded
reboot to bootloader/fastboot
fastboot flash boot boot.img (the one you just extracted from the rom)
I wasn't going to help you at first because this EXACT post is created at least once a day and is easily fixed by reading and understanding what you're doing. Hopefully this is a wakeup call that you should not be rooting your phone without knowing at least the basics.

[Q] Help - HTC Desire S Can't boot

Hello, I'd like to ask you for help, because I have following problem with my htc desire S (HBOOT 2.00.0002, RADIO_3822-10-08-04_M and S-on).
I unlocked bootloader according to htcdev and rooted by SuperOneClick 2.3.3. Than I installed 4EXT Recovery v 2.2.7 RC5 and prepared ROM files (Endymion_V3.1_base_release.zip and Endymion_V3.4_updater.zip) on my SDcard.
After that I entered Bootloader and 4Ext Recovery without any problem. And here is probably my fault. I have formated everything with SDcard exception - that means also /boot. Following installation of both prepared files (Endymion_3.1 + 3.4) from SDcard ended with "success".
BUT. When I rebooted phone, display remained white with green letters HTC only. To switch the phone off I had to remove battery. On the other hand
I am able to start bootloader (SD Checking: Load PG88DIAG.ZIP - No Image; Load PG88DIAG.nbh - No Image or wrong image) and 4Ext Recovery.
Let me know please, what to do and how to repait it.
Thank you.

You need to extract boot.img from the endymion zip file and flash it using fastboot.
The command you'll need to execute is:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
For details on how yo set up fastboot click on the link on my signature.
Beamed from the Dark Side using xda premium.
Download the rom again, extract boot.img from the zip and flash with fastboot
Thank you very much. After boot flash everything works again.

Before you fix your recovery you will need HTC Sync Software http://www.htc.com/www/help/htc-one-x/#download
And ADB installed from the SDK here http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Once you load the SDK Manager download the Android SDK platform tools. Then download the proper recovery Image that has official support for the AT&T One X from here http://teamw.in/project/twrp2/99
Go to the folder you installed the SDK tools to If your on Windows 7 x64 and installed it using the default paths it will be located here C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools when at that folder move the recovery image file in to that folder then hold shift and right click in the folder select open command window here.
Now get your phone back into the bootloader select fastboot and connect it to your pc when your phones bootloader says fastboot usb its connected and ready to fix.
type fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.1.8.1-evita.img
that will update your recovery to TWRP which is much better than CWM. From there you can select reboot into recovery from the bootloader TWRP will load up you can Wipe /system /cache then mount your phone to your PC and upload any ROM you want. I recommend AOKP or CleanROM and flash away.
People really need to start searching before they post this is somewhere around the 20th post I've seen like this in the last couple days. All want help unbricking and people have posted guides on how to unbrick. Also there are many posts about how CWM for the HOX is highly unstable.

[Q] At&t HOX stuck in boot loop after trying to flash viperx using Flash Image GUI

[Q] At&t HOX stuck in boot loop after trying to flash viperx using Flash Image GUI
First off thanks in advance for anyone who is willing to help. Here is my situation:
I successfully rooted my phone and are using TWRP as a recovery. I created two backups, one before rooting and one after. I then tried to flash viperx using Flash Image GUI from the playstore. I did this by copying the viperx zip file to my virtual sd card and then used Flash Image GUI to locate the zip file and then flash. Now my HTC ONE X is stuck in a boot loop. I tried doing a recovery on both backups I created and none of them are fixing the issue. I tried wiping the cache, system, and Dalvik cache. I'm not sure if I missed any important/necessary steps when trying to flash the rom. Can anyone PLEASE HELP me? Any help would be great and again thank you in advance.

Try flashing the boot.img from fastboot using these commands: fastboot flash boot boot.img. Then reinstall the rom.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671237
Moving on from what imagio said download the file in the link which I posted.... Put the boot image in that folder... Boot your phone into bootloader scroll down and select fastboot and now open a command prompt with in the fastbootbadb folder on your comp and type to command he told you
Do you mean Viper XL? ViperX is the ROM for the quad core tegra3 version of the One X. Post a link of what you flashed.
For ViperXL its not necessary to flash boot.img using fastboot or Flash Image GUI. It will flash boot.img in AROMA.
you did actually flash the rom in twrp right? from what you said all you did was flash the boot.img using flashimagegui thinking that flashes the rom.
like redpoint73 said, you did download viperxl right?
problem solved
Hey thanks guys for your replys but I went ahead and installed the factory Rom and rerooted. I tried flashing viperx again following a YouTube video and got stuck in a boot loop again. Had to reinstall factory Rom again. I think I'll just try another Rom. But again thanks for replying. Have a great year.

How to install ROM ViperoneS

I´am dificults in install this rom --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2105863
Please help me , i´m afraid do anything wrong.
Its not difficult to do its as simple as:
Download rom and boot img script
Place Rom on phone storage
Boot into recovery
Back-up current in case something goes wrong
Factory reset in recovery
Then wipe system
Then wipe caches
Find the Rom on sdcard
Flash it install without wipe ( install with wipe will give you problems)
Reboot into bootloader put phone into fastboot mode, by now you should have phone connected to pc and it should display fastboot mode on bootloader screen
Run boot img flash script from your pc (don't place boot img script on the phone, it flashes the boot img for you from computer by running commands) then reboot back into recovery and wipe caches once more then reboot and enjoy... that's it.
Not hard just follow instructions and you should be good to go and if you run into any problems just let us know and we'll help you fix it

Yes you can use Hasoon's AIO kit to flash the boot img, The flash script does the same thing using cmd prompt windows
once you start to flash the rom in your recovery Aroma installer (built in) will start and guide you through the whole process
Good luck

have you flashed the boot img?
Don't use the new TWRP but use 2.3.3.3 or other "stable" releases to flash!
By chance do you have a s3 variant if so then there may be the problem, if not then try an older stable release of a recovery to flash it

When you double click that script, you have to be on your bootloader screen in fastboot USB mode.

Very major problems with recovery and roms

So here is my problem. Every time I flash a recovery, my rom gets deleted, so I flash another one. But, when I flash a rom, my recovery gets deleted. So I flash recovery again... It's an endless cycle.
So, I either don't have a rom, or don't have recovery.
I have S-OFF with firewater and I am trying to flash skyfall and TWRP.
What the hell is going on? This has NEVER happened with any other phone I have owned.
EDIT: I have fixed the issue. If you too have this issue, please refer to post #3.
1. Are you wiping internal storage?
2. If you aren't wiping internal storage, where are you placing your ROM? Root of internal storage or in the download folder. Or your SD card? TWRP will allow you to access all your folders to find a ROM.
3. How are you flashing your recovery? Adb and the .img file from TWRP work best for me.
Flash TWRP using adb. Phone will boot into TWRP recovery. Do a factory reset WITHOUT wiping internal/external storage. Press install. Find your ROM and install it. Do a dalvik cache wipe. Reboot system. Wait...be patient and you should be good to go.
I also recommend downloading a ROM from your computer and placing it on your sdcard if you have one. Then you have no worries about it being erased. Hope this helps.
