CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
I know many of you are wondering that I was going to release AOSP, but I had some issues with it. Once I have done considerable progress here, I will release it too and work parallely
This is a work in progress, this is not supposed to boot in first attempt. This will need continuous efforts and no ETA will be provided for any of the future builds. This belongs to original development section but I am purposely creating this here, once we reach booting stage I will get this moved there.
This is not for daily usage.
I need logcats and dmesg to go further
Normal users are not recommended to flash this, only those who can deal with Soft bricks.
You need to revert back to ICS by flashing complete ICS package via SP Flash Tool.
What works
ADB
USB
What doesn't work:
Everything else
Current status: Not booting.

Wait did you revert back to ICS? A complete package revert is needed

YOU NEED TO DO COMPLETE ICS REVERT before flashing this.
Will update this on OP

I asked it just to find out that it booted or not as I don't have a spare Android mobile. If it booted I was going to download it.

Wifi issue...
Thanks for this solution !
I've build myself my rom based on the last T-Mobile CM rom and Victoractor method, and I'm still having wifi issues at every reboot !
Also, I noticed that I had an inferior score with Antutu benchmark than the one I got with official ROM from Samsung with blotwares and so named RAM eaters !
Last, may I update CM with OTA on my I9095 ?
Thanks !
jfltetmo CM10.1 nightly is working great on my I9505. Didn't have to change any ril lib or apn file.

I could fix the wifi using this commands on the emulator :
From S4
1. su
2. rm /data/.cid.info
But I have to do it manually at each reboot...any solution ?
is bluetooth fixed on this already or not?
couldn't play descent music with headset or bluetooth speakers.
That's the only thing keeping me from going back to the build everything else was fine.
Using the 0524-hax build, sometimes when I boot my device just hangs on the S4 boot logo and I have to restart the phone manually.
Also sometimes if I try and turn my phone on while it's charging, it sometimes hangs on the battery boot screen.

The thing that keeps me away from it are the few bugs and the stutters... They are bad sometimes... And such strange lags like in the browser bookmarks (swiping left right, up down is a slideshow if some own bookmarks are added..)

Thanks to @infected_ @timmytim for sending me his compiled kernel
Thanks to @invisiblek for getting the D850 device tree started
Thanks to whoever worked on the D855 device tree.
BIG THANKS to Team Codefire for Bump!
I kind of hacked this ROM together after many attempts to get it working on the D850 building from scratch. Final key was the kernel from @infected_ @timmytim.
I know what's wrong with my source now have all the pieces in place to start pumping out nightly ROMs, just need to put them all together.

Im getting a kernel panic. Was just sitting idle on my desk, screen off.
Kernel Crash!

DemiGod Crash Handler : Kernel Crash!
then it goes on to talk about rebooting into download mode
What works? What doesn't work?
So this is a 'pickup' post about/for the OP, hoping that the OP has the time to include bugs, fixes and or work arounds in the primary post. OP's gotta be busy so hope this helps and hoping same page will be close enough to primary post for easy reading/location. (p15)
Primary CM ROM includes SU. Per OP, following flash, you'll need: http://www.mediafire.com/download/jvwtii3rij2l11n/pa_d850-4.6-BETA6-20141109.zip
Issues:
1. Kernal panic: fix: 11/12/14 12:00 PST, kernel panic appears to have been resolved, though other issues remain present. If you are still experiencing kernel issues/panic, post it up.
Fix 1. Boot.img incorporated into original CyanogenMod UNOFFICIAL 4.4.4 of OP: posted by AlexGMC
https://mega.co.nz/#!WAFBxYKb!uS5CHe...T93zi10XjmyEjQ
Fix 2. boot.img only for those that have already done the primary CyanogenMod install, posted 11/12/14: up by Timmytim:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...f3076fac891f1b6b7d0fc4af4e4de25f7ff25d2d85c11
Timmytim: "If you want to support someone I highly recommend donating to @infected_ and @invisiblek since they got us here."
Current bugs in new image which may remain:
data/ril for some, still evaluating
screen rotation
hotspot
compass as well as pitch & roll sensors are not working.
Autobrightness wasnt really adjusting properly when outside.
Sensor0 and Sensor1 I2C issues?
Appears you may lose the secret phone menu: the secret menu at 3845#*850# isn't working. It was commented that the secret menu is only available on stock ROMs.
2. reports of laser/camera issues, camera freezing system, needing reboot for some, no current fix
3. 'torch' not working:, fix, unknown
4. exchange not working following flash: fix, to delete CM exchange and restore from backup
5. auto rotate issues reported: fix, none reported yet
6. Proximity sensor doesn't seem to work.

I have been using PA Gapps on the unofficial and plan to continue with the official, don't think it will be a problem but YMMV.
Guess I'll find out tomorrow, but will OTA updates be available now?
Using Slim Gapps 5.0 with no issues. Thanks for the great ROM!
Thanks for the great rom and support CRpalmer. This allowed me to return my Nexus 9 and pick this baby up on sale for $130.
Only issue i've been noticing is H/W and H/W+ decoder support. Also, the back button on the on-screen navbar is larger than the home and recents button.
Wonderful as always. Thank you!

I will work on cm-12 on this device when I have the time to and when I'm not already spending all of my free time working on devices I actually own and for which I get some value out of spending that time.

Please be patient, he does not own the device. Either that or help the CM team... Asking for ETA's doesn't do any good.

I used TWRP 2.8.3.0.
The hardware "home" button isn't waking the device from sleep, am I missing a setting or is this now the default setting?

Superuser
Greetings, has anyone been able to get superuser built-in support to work? I saw a post saying CM12 was moving the option to privacy, and that it would be included. I installed the CM12 nightly from today and can't find it. Thanks.
Wow... This ROM is FAST! Thanks for developing and sharing this with us!

Feel free to PM me if you need any help. It's very easy to flash compared to other roms and also the most stable one I've used so far on the OP9.
OP flash instructions?

I am not allowed to link any files, I only posted to help anyone else that had struggles booting.

The link I have provided may help you if you want to flash manually without the need of other tools or files.
Ty. will wait for the proper installation files so i dont risk to brick it. thanks anyway
Maybe op will post them someday

i don't know of any specific rom flash method on other roms for this device, but a simple reboot to recovery, format and flash on a slot of your choice should suffice, if your on any of the recent A12 vendor builds of most of the roms available. i did the same for switching from nameless to los to my arrow build.
if this doesn't work you can let me know, we can figure something out.

If you want the original files just extract them from the payload.bin?
this thread will be now for my ROM - elytraOS.
it's a clean, minimal ROM with focus on blur and heavy source optimizations.
i am sure it will appeal to everyone. hope y'all give it a try.
