It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Wifi issue...
Thanks for this solution !
I've build myself my rom based on the last T-Mobile CM rom and Victoractor method, and I'm still having wifi issues at every reboot !
Also, I noticed that I had an inferior score with Antutu benchmark than the one I got with official ROM from Samsung with blotwares and so named RAM eaters !
Last, may I update CM with OTA on my I9095 ?
Thanks !
jfltetmo CM10.1 nightly is working great on my I9505. Didn't have to change any ril lib or apn file.

There is no risk ? Sincerly I don't know if the I9095 and T-Mobile variants are exactly the same at hardware level to allow us it with no change ?

Yes I know but based on Wikipedia, it seems there is some differences, for example at LTE frequencies level. I don't know if this will have issues or not when using the original CM with no changes !

---------- Post added at 08:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:21 PM ----------
I could fix the wifi using this commands on the emulator :
From S4
1. su
2. rm /data/.cid.info
But I have to do it manually at each reboot...any solution ?
is bluetooth fixed on this already or not?
couldn't play descent music with headset or bluetooth speakers.
That's the only thing keeping me from going back to the build everything else was fine.
Using the 0524-hax build, sometimes when I boot my device just hangs on the S4 boot logo and I have to restart the phone manually.
Also sometimes if I try and turn my phone on while it's charging, it sometimes hangs on the battery boot screen.

Nice thread. At least, Dev thread will be clean due to this. Keep it up.:good:
can i know how is the battery life? like screen on time on LTE and wifi?
quite worried about the bluetooth part.. need it for my car..
The thing that keeps me away from it are the few bugs and the stutters... They are bad sometimes... And such strange lags like in the browser bookmarks (swiping left right, up down is a slideshow if some own bookmarks are added..)

* Tabpro common device changes

New build:2014-06-23
Fixes:
* caller id
* conference calls & call waiting (more RIL differences that I had to account for)
* keymaster blobs
* adds time_daemon from @THEDEVIOUS1 to preserve the time when rebooting with no network connectivity
Thanks for the hard work, will use it as a daily driver...
Have been using the older version (from the other thread) for more than a week and it works well...
Just flashed yesterday's build over without any issues!
Thanks again!
New build: 2014-06-24
This build attempts to fix the proximity sensor. If it doesn't fix it can you please:
* reboot
* make a phone call, hold the tablet up to your head to trigger the screen off
* use SysLog to get the Main Log and the Kernel Log
* run adb shell su -c "ls -lR /sys" > ls-sys.txt
and post the logs and the ls-sys.txt file from your computer.
According to @Fankserver via PM, the proximity sensor is working. At this point, I do not know of any issues with this build. If you think that something is broken, let me know.
Thanks for all the work you've done on this.
I haven't installed the 06-24 build yet but will post if I find anything.
Thx again

Man, it's cool! I think you ready to report Cyanogen boys to make your rom official.
I'm get 44 minutes of reading Asimov's Foundation through Play Books with auto brightness. It is 11 hours to make battery from 100% to 0. Samsung stock rom can give me around 16 hours. Can you integrate some battery fixes to extend battery life?

To make a build official, I need to be able to test on it and I don't own the device. At this time, I have no intention of asking for this build to be an official one.
As far as battery life, the biggest drain is the screen. Another confound is battery reporting if you are extrapolating the time. You would want to to set a fixed brightness and then run the battery from full to empty. Is that what you did?

And one little wish - can you make dpi around 380-400? UI elements are too small
I've finally rooted my device and installed it (the 2306 build) - I must say it works perfectly. No battery drain from my side, everythings has been running great so far.
Thanks for all the work you've put into this, if there's anything to test I'm available.
works well good ... low resolution and bad reading.
New build: 2014-06-26
* audio improvements
* kernel changes from samsung's sm-t320 updates
* general cm upstream changes
great rom
The 2306 version works great.
Much better then the samsung default rom.
LTE works fine
Now downloading the 2606
Thanks for the great work
2606 works great thank you!
couple of questions though...
my tab doesnt seem to be switching to LTE but it just may be where I am...seems stuck on H+. I'm in Hong Kong.
Also, how to I change the number of rows in the app drawer? I cant find anything to tweak it.
Keep up the good work!
I've also installed the latest build, as usual everything's been working great.
I've got a question regarding the stock browser (I haven't installed Chrome) - it seems quite buggy, pages do not respond if you leave them open and return to them afterwards, and I can't make it to remember any passwords ... does anyone have the same problems ?
@kurosawa79 - have you tried with Settings -> Mobile networks -> Preferred network type ? For your other question, you need to install a third-party launcher (like Apex).

I use a little app called network to switch between GSM and LTE. When I force LTE the signal goes blank. Only got it yesterday so have not left my house with it yet so it may just be a network blackspot...but in Hong Kong, generally, the whole city is covered by LTE. So im thinking is there some sort of baseband incompatibility?

For simplistic reasons, could we get a link to the specific Gapps that will work? Is there a 5.0 version that would work of Gapps? Thanks for the awesome work.

Im getting a kernel panic. Was just sitting idle on my desk, screen off.
Kernel Crash!
----------------------
DemiGod Crash Handler : Kernel Crash!
then it goes on to talk about rebooting into download mode
What works? What doesn't work?
So this is a 'pickup' post about/for the OP, hoping that the OP has the time to include bugs, fixes and or work arounds in the primary post. OP's gotta be busy so hope this helps and hoping same page will be close enough to primary post for easy reading/location. (p15)
Primary CM ROM includes SU. Per OP, following flash, you'll need: http://www.mediafire.com/download/jvwtii3rij2l11n/pa_d850-4.6-BETA6-20141109.zip
Issues:
1. Kernal panic: fix: 11/12/14 12:00 PST, kernel panic appears to have been resolved, though other issues remain present. If you are still experiencing kernel issues/panic, post it up.
Fix 1. Boot.img incorporated into original CyanogenMod UNOFFICIAL 4.4.4 of OP: posted by AlexGMC
https://mega.co.nz/#!WAFBxYKb!uS5CHe...T93zi10XjmyEjQ
Fix 2. boot.img only for those that have already done the primary CyanogenMod install, posted 11/12/14: up by Timmytim:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=...f3076fac891f1b6b7d0fc4af4e4de25f7ff25d2d85c11
Timmytim: "If you want to support someone I highly recommend donating to @infected_ and @invisiblek since they got us here."
Current bugs in new image which may remain:
data/ril for some, still evaluating
screen rotation
hotspot
compass as well as pitch & roll sensors are not working.
Autobrightness wasnt really adjusting properly when outside.
Sensor0 and Sensor1 I2C issues?
Appears you may lose the secret phone menu: the secret menu at 3845#*850# isn't working. It was commented that the secret menu is only available on stock ROMs.
2. reports of laser/camera issues, camera freezing system, needing reboot for some, no current fix
3. 'torch' not working:, fix, unknown
4. exchange not working following flash: fix, to delete CM exchange and restore from backup
5. auto rotate issues reported: fix, none reported yet
6. Proximity sensor doesn't seem to work.

Bugs:
Only report bugs for OFFICIAL RELEASE.
For proper technique on reporting bugs:
Read THIS and THIS.
When reporting a bug be as specific as possible.
Make sure you can replicate the bug when coming from a clean install with no other apps installed besides what comes with ROM and GApps.
If you narrowed down a specific app that crashes only on CM ROM then please include app version and all info about app too.
Do not have any modifications done to the Android system besides.
It is very important to read on the proper technique to report a bug. Helps keep thread clean and makes tracking issues easier.
If your D850 is not on AT&T then use this TWRP flashable patch to update the APN files.
Thank you!
I want to thank you for all the hard work you put for our device. Much appreciated

I don't care what everyone talks about in this thread, just try to keep it on somewhat topic. The thing that irks me the most is buggy bug reports. Do not need to hear this is broke fix it, PLEASE, I can not stress it enough...PLEASE provide as much detail as you can when reporting bugs. The more detail your reports are the better a chance we will look at it and fix it.
Thanks!
PS. This is how I am feeling about now oh and especially with the incall audio bug which seems like the mother of all bugs
@AndroidUser00110001 am i right to say that on initial install, one should wipe/format system as well?
To the Devs,
I must say, this ROM is excellent. Three weeks ago I purchased my new LGG3 LG-VS985 after using a MotoX for a year. I have been a faithful CyanogenMod user for a couple years. This new CM12 Lollipop ROM is simply the best ever, on the best phone available.

I didn't have time to clean flash, so I dirty flashed over the last Unofficial before the switch, being sure to wipe System/Cache/Dalvik, and I haven't had any massive issues other than the commits from the EXPERIMENTAL thread/build not being included yet (check that thread for AU's list).
I clean flashed this and it says my phone is not rooted?

Honestly I didn't check that because I don't believe I have ever had to enable it before, just enable debugging through developer settings. I will check tonight. Thanks.

Yes, I used CyanDelta on the last update.
Google Sync
Anyone experience Google not syncing after installing the latest from Cyanogen's site? What I get is "Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly."
Wiped everything on install like I always do. Tried again and same thing. Tried different gapps just in case. I finally went back to stock ver. and everything is fine.
I've tried it so many times I'll wait to hear from someone else before flashing it again. lol

On 1/9 is syncing but Google now voice detection from "any screen" is not working.
BTW 1/9 has corrected Bluetooth bug vol increasing on incoming verification. Can anyone else verify?
I've also noticed that battery life was much better on unofficial builds. Anyone?

I can confirm that the build for 1/9 has fixed the Bluetooth bug on all my vehicles... I noticed that in the settings it is using the nuplayer instead of awesomeplayer... (not sure if thats the diff)

Dual sim works, but if you have a SIM card with CDMA2000,tha would be problem.

Before You Post a Bug
PLEASE include steps to reproduce the bug, and a logcat would be nice. If it's hardware related or your device reboots please post your last_kmsg.
How to logcat?
See here (read up to the end of the "logcat" section).
Upload it to a pastebin, include the link in your bug report.
or if you're on your phone and can't get to a computer:
If you install a terminal (this one works nicely) and type this:
Code:
su
then, accept the superuser prompt, and type
Code:
logcat -d > /sdcard/logcat.txt
it should save a logcat at /sdcard/logcat.txt. You can change the filename, and it will overwrite whatever exists already at /sdcard/logcat.txt
How to get last_kmsg?
Copy /proc/last_kmsg and upload the file contents to a pastebin, include the link to that in your bug report
Please feel free to ask questions pertaining to this rom and post bugs or any issues you may run into. Any help/contributions would also be appreciated as my free time is limited.

I've noticed the same things. What I've found for auto rotation is a reboot or soft reboot temporarily fixes the issue for me. I'm going to look into fixing the camera and then look into auto rotation. As for the animation I haven't experienced it myself but will look out for it and take it from there.

Great work! So happy to finally have M on my tablet.
The main problem I see is that my external SD card doesn't get mounted.
Proper symlinks exist and point to '/sdcard1', but that folder is missing.
Dear awidawad,
Thank you very much for your CM13.0-unofficial-bacon build!

I/we have the exact same issue with CM13 and picassolte. Autorotation works after a reboot, but once the device goes to sleep for the first time it stops working. Logcat shows all kinds of activity related to rotation when it works, but once it stops, nothing is logged. It looks like the motion sensor is not reactivated when the device wakes from sleep.
Hello

but i can't access external sd & usb key

I'm currently experiencing the same issues (auto-rotation, no camera, SD not mounting), but this is simply fantastic. And the awesome battery life from Android M makes it all worth it while you work out the bugs. Way to go keeping this device alive!
Ok, so I gave it a try and it seems quite smooth and stable. Awesome work awidawad, thank you again!
Because I use this tablet for online television streaming with the magineTV app (in Germany) I recognized that "widevine DRM" is not installed.. so I can't start streaming.
I guess this is also necessary to have if you're using google play movie or other streaming apps.
I just wanted to tell

Newbie approach also possible?
Thanks for all the good work you're doing. I'm thrilled that I can upgrade my device to MM 6.0.
Sorry for my newbie questions, but as more readers are not really techies, maybe you can give an answer to these two questions?
1) Do you need root to flash this ROM? If so, how can I do that? Is there a sort of manual for non-techies available?
2) Where can I find TWRP Recovery, I can only find TWRP Manager (Requires root), TWRP Coordinatot (Requires root). Or do you mean something else? Can you give a link, please? How does it work?
Thanks a lot.
Also on behalf of lots of unexperienced users.
Best,
Hans
