AOKPdeveloped and maintained by Team Kang, produced by airfluip1

AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project [Play of words on AOSP(Android Open Source Project)]
So I got bored and I decided to dev.
Here is my first source built ROM and I have some plans.
What doesn't work--->Call Audio goes to speaker, GPS, Wifi, Device Settings FC, THERE MIGHT BE MORE FOR YOU TO DISCOVER, POST LOGS, AND REPORT ON
What works, everything else
HOW TO INSTALL--> Please be on an MTD rom of some sort such as CM7 or ANY ICS/JellyBean, this will prevent any potential errors that I haven't discovered.
IN RECOVERY--> Wipe System and Do a Factory Reset--> Download and Flash Rom Followed By GAPPS.
LINKS ARE OVER HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ROM LINK
GAPPS
How to help me:
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
SCREENIES COME LATER

[ROM][COMING SOON]Carbonite_G2x_v5.0_Alpha

Hello G2x community, I am putting the final touches on my AOSP Like G2x ROM. 40% of the system apps were built from 100% AOSP Source Code but the general framework is ALL CM7. And of course my Carbonite touch. I only did this project to see if I could compile a ROM from source [CM7 AND AOSP SOURCE] And my carbonite touch. What is carbonite? Its several tweaks and mods to the framework to increase battery life and overall performance. I also included a data connectivity fix that has plagued cm7 from the start. I will release a FULL changelog once the rom is complete. JUST BE WARNED....THIS IS A BLIND BUILD...WHAT IS A BLIND BUILD YOU ASK? ITS WHEN A DEV DOESNT HAVE A PHONE TO TEST HIS ROM OR KERNEL ON. Rest assured I am going through this rom with a fine tooth comb. If you want to be a rom tester please PM me with your email address. I will send u a link to download. I hope to develop for the G2x for a while. If you have any questions please ask me. KEEP ALL NEGATIVITY OUT OF MY THREAD. PM me with your negativity please so I can ATTEMPT to resolve it.

Getting unknown baseband therefore no cell signal.
Did a full wipe before and after.
I'm not really seeing any reason why the baseband is showing unknown as this is based off of CM7.

Cyanogenmod 7.2 kang (built 1/20/11)

Alright, I noticed you guys haven't seen a nightly release in a while and since I made this for a friend of mine and even gave it to my brother, I figured everyone should have it too. This is basically Cyanogenmod 7.2. No, I will not build CM9 for your device, and I probably won't end up maintaining this release (I might, not sure.)
The Rules:
Don't report bugs, this is a nightly also I am sure bugs will be picked up already. Treat this as any CM nightly. Wipe before flashing (unless coming from a previous pure CM build and even then, wipe cache and dalvik.
Instructions:
Download > Wipe Data, system, dalvik, and cache. > flash > enjoy
Download link:
http://goo-inside.me/roms/Indirect/Evo_shift
Gapps:
http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip
Enjoy guys.
Did a complete system wipe, flashed and booted. It gets to the setup dialogs and before I can do anything it reboots into a continuous cycle. Can anyone else confirm?

not to gripe, just purely sharing my experience
the shift has problems making and recieving calls. No audio is the problem. A restart solves it, but it comes back at its leisure. Another problem is that the time doesnt stay synched with the network. I flashed using Clockwork and Twrp. I made sure to wipe x3, and i reDL'd the rom x3 already aswell. Everything else seemed fine.

PACman

Can someone build it for the Samsung I997 Infuse 4G please? If I had this device myself I would ask devs to help me build it but I'm asking for a friend who has an infuse.
Moved here and Sir please read the Forum Rules...On posting #15

Th3bill had a version of it but took it down because it uses parts of the paranoid android code which is closed source. I was upset myself cause it sounded interesting.

i believe you can still build PA roms if you use 2 files from their closed source....for the sph-d710 phone one of our devs ported king kang over and stripped that part out of PA...only trick is to get it working nicely the user has to strip those 2 files back out of the original paranoid android rom and root of flash them back onto the king kang version to make it work right.....why would they have closed source, i thought android was all about open source :/

Not sure why they have closed source. I'm just repeating what I read. I happen to love PA myself so I'm all for anything that incorporates it.

??? Bill's PACman is still available, it's just not advertised. I thought the reason was just because it's in fairly experimental stages right now. At any rate, the PA thing is being blown way out of proportion. I posted about this on the MIUI thread.
FWW PACman is an excellent ROM. I highly recommend it!
Th3Bill removed the closed source file (Paranoid Android Settings).
You can get his build here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pacinfuse/
FYI- It boots to a black screen (no bootanimation) and there is a HWA settings f/c.... no biggie.

And just to add to that, as far as I understand the PA settings can be obtained by downloading a PA ROM, pulling the PA settings (apk?) and installing.
As for bootanimation, I used RomToolbox Pro to grab one. I'm sure there are other ways too.

How to submit a bug.
When you submit a bug you want to make sure that nothing from your side is causing it.
Otherwise I might be hunting a bug which doesn't really exist.
The best way to achieve this is by doing the following.
Make a nandroid backup.
Perform a full wipe (factory reset + wipe /system)
Now we have two different ways depending on what kind of problem do you're having.
--When you're having a problem with a ROM function flash just the ROM without GAPPS etc. and boot back into the system. You will boot directly onto the homescreen.
--When you're having a problem with a 3rd party app in combination with our ROM then flash the ROM and GAPPS.
Boot now back into the system. You will boot to the setup wizard.
Log in to your Google account but make sure that you untick "Restore from my Google Account to this phone/tablet".
Finish the setup and open the playstore and download only the app you're having problems with.
Start a logcat recording and reproduce the bug (if possible more than once) while taking the logcat. If you don't know how to get a logcat read this tutorial or this.
Post the logcat in a txt file or on pastebin (this is important because you otherwise clog up the threads with your log) in the correct thread.
Please also write detailed how we can reproduce the bug.
Restore your backup from point 1 and wait for a fix (don't ask for ETAs).

[ROM][JB] CyanDream [V1] [AUG 15]

Hey Guys,
This is a little project I've been working on over the summer holidays,
When i started it 4 weeks ago i still had a Desire HD but then i ended up withotu a phone running jellybean for a few weeks so i'm finally picking it up again
Basically @TheRinseM asked me to make a CM10.1 rom with HALO, but since then I decided that not only HALO would be included but other features too that I liked - I find PACMan a bit too heavy on a devices power, and each rom has its own features I like so I've started a project of finding the features I like and building them into the one ROM so i basically have my perfect ROM
For now the only builds I've done have been 4.2.2, but I'm currently upgrading it too 4.3 so bear with me while I edit all the stuff i need
Changelog, Downloads, Bugs list and screenshots to follow...
Changelog, Bugs and Download
Changelog
V1
-Moved project to new github
-Re wrote manifest for Desire removing all Desire HD stuff
-New bootanimation, thanks to PartimusPrime for that
-Synced with latest CM10.1 sources
-Its an ALPHA so don't get your hopes up too much :/ its slower than I'd like but hey...
Bugs List-Its quite BIG (230mb without gapps, so you need the 250mb hboot and slim gapps - I'm currently rewriting some of the make files so it doesn't import all of the live wallpapers and other useless apps, should thin it down a bit
-SystemUI FC's at bootup
-If you do ANY form of reboot it bootloops - not sure why, thinking it could be the lack of cache (5mb might not be enough) will test moving it with a2sd and see if that helps
Credits+Csytracy for the modified Evervolv device config for CM
+LaidbackNikez for the Kernel
+PartimusPrime for the bootanimation
+TheRinseM for starting me off on this project where i have learnt so much
+CyanogenMod for the base for the ROM
+AlphaRev for their custom hboots
AlphaRev's 250mb HBOOT, having the 40mb cache may solve the bootloop problem, not tried it yet though, will do that in a few minutes: HERE
And the Slim Gapps HERE
Source CodeAs with all source built Android ROMs it is Open Source and the source code is avaliable on Github Its a bit of a mess while I'm updating it but it will be cleaned up when ready, feel free to build it yourself for Desire (Or any other device)
Downloads
V1 :: Download is here :: [URL="http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23060877489999994"]MD5 SUM[/URL]
Sorry no mirrors yet, I will mirror it onto XDA File Server once I get it updated to 4.3
Screenshots
Screenshots will go here when I get them off my SD Card, but just imagine basically what CM10.1 looks like and that it at the moment
Will get around to doing some recolouring and theming

No K3 yet, although I know the sourcecode KS avaliable I'm not incorporating it into the rom until Nikez has released a download of it, don't ask me to explain why, it just isn't the sort of thing I'd do
However it is the ION kernel (I picked the branch that had ion commits so I hope it is lol) so camera is as in anyother rom using jellybean evervolv kernel
