Just wondering if there is a stylus like pen that can be used on the ATRIX 2? I don't wanna buy one and it not work.

I think they all work in a capacitive screen
Any capacitive type stylus will work. You can find them at any store that sells tablet accessories. They look a little different than typical styluses, they have a little bulb for a tip. At least the one I have does.

Thank you both! I actually know what you're talking about. Will look into it.

yup, any normal stylus will work.
also, if you have any of the conductive foam that many IC's and things come packed in (it's dense and black, you cna test it by holding it and trying to use the screen), it makes a wonderful DIY stylus tip!

Anyone?

most capacitive screen styli ive seen have quite a big area rather than a pointy tip, and ones i've tested were shocking (with the foam tip) not sure about others they look like they would scratch the screen tbh! and probably wouldn't be all that accurate.
just my opinion.
the jot brand stylus is the only one I know about
I've heard that the Wacom one is the best, although mainly for tablets so may be a bit awkward on the DHD. Two of my friends use them on their iPads and they work great on those.

Ok I've been on system overload since receiving my tab a few days ago.
Can anyone tell me why there are a couple of different nib types supplied with the note 10.1?

One reason is that they are spares which some users say eventually the nib wears slightly and needs to be replaced, another reason is the different feel that you get when using the other type with the note. The choice is yours!
Actually thats a very good question! All I can tell you is that I didn't change it since I got the tablet mid of August.

When I said eventually, I read on one of the posts in xda somewhere that they changed it after a year or so. The one that comes fitted with the pen apparently has a rubber tip (little bit of grey on the tip) this may wear sooner than the plastic ones. It all depends on usage I suppose and how heavy handed you are on the screen.
Wacom includes extras with all their digital tablets so I suspect that they included the spares out of policy along with different types for the experience for the user.

There is a metal ring like device that accompanies the nibs. Small hole at the end of the metal ring. Slide the nib in the hole and grip it and pull. Reverse will switch a new one in.

just bought this phone used, but the bezel is so damaged that it's hard for me to even look at the phone.
i wonder if there's an easy way of replacing the bezel? im not sure i want to transplant the entire screen on the kit i bought, since it seems like the glass breaks easily.
Buy a case, most of the decent cases cover up the besel

You might be able to find some rear housing replacement for the phone but that all depends on if you want to dissect the phone as well.

Alternative like previously mentioned is get a case for it but thats entirely your choice.

I read the 1st post and thought I had posted it for a second. Exact same thing happened to me. I was not going to keep it but a case will hide it and it's a $400 phone new. My wife isn't going to let me spend that much on a phone so I decided to keep it.
Glad I did so far.

I have a bezel and assembly without the glass sitting on a shelf in my office. Had a shattered screen and the replacement is a one-piece assembly as was mentioned. I removed the glass and LCD and have a good bezel with the 'touchpad' buttons still in place. Could let it go....if you can use it. Make me an offer. PM me if you're interested and I'll send a picture.
Hi.
So my phone managed to survive a sandstorm with only small scratch.
But i am wondering if i can somehow repair the damage.
If not, can i buy just front display or do i need full digitizer with all the sensors?

Been told this does a pretty good job: Displex Touch Screen Polish[/FONT]
Display screen & lcd display usually sold as an assembly pack for 110 to 130$.
Found a webstore that sells the screen only but seem to be out of stock. Believe it was Rounded.com
Yeah. I saw Rounded.com too. Well i might hold it scratched for a year (so scratches can build up) and then replace it. And components should be also cheaper.
The touchscreen has cracked and needs to be replaced. Does anyone know of a reputable place that would able to repair it in the U.S.? I did not pay for the tablet so I don't mind paying to get it fixed as long as it cost less that buying a brand new one of course.

Ain't nobody who will do it for less than $150.00. Are you willing to shell out that much for a used tab when you can actually do it yourself for one- third?

Your call, of course. I would've helped if you weren't so far away. Countless people have done it, no reason why you can't. Takes some patience and dexterity. That's all. Otherwise, below is one place. I know a bunch out here, but you likely wanted brand-name. Good luck.

Having done this a few times, and watched the video, a few cautions. First is to turn the service switch off before removing any cables. Read this thread, especially from page 13 on about the coil. Also, I'd remove the lcd display differently because its front frame is flimsy, and scraping it off the digitizer without loosening the tape along its edges first might bend it. Once it is, you will have light bleeding upon reassembling. If this sounds daunting to you, it's just not in practice, so don't cringe. Lots of people have failed, but only because they decided to shoot from the hip. Once you've done your homework, you should be alright.
