Can anyone recommend a good stylus for drawing on the dhd? I use fresco and Sketchbook mobile

Anyone?

most capacitive screen styli ive seen have quite a big area rather than a pointy tip, and ones i've tested were shocking (with the foam tip) not sure about others they look like they would scratch the screen tbh! and probably wouldn't be all that accurate.
just my opinion.
the jot brand stylus is the only one I know about
I've heard that the Wacom one is the best, although mainly for tablets so may be a bit awkward on the DHD. Two of my friends use them on their iPads and they work great on those.

Glad to hear from a fellow defender user! It is indeed the best case I've used so far

Did it makes the DHD almost bigger than normal ?

but the problem is, it attracts too much of dusts with it.

I'd have to agree but I usually just get rid of it with a piece of tape when I have no choice but to put it down on a dusty surface or just put it in its holster. I'd take removable dust over permanent scratches/dents

yes it is, in my case, i'll just make my hands wet and wipe them off. still waiting life proof to actually release a Proof case for us.

Mine doesnt really attract dust anymore, i think its due to the natural oil that gets left behind from when i touch it

Lol, that's actually true for me. Hand sweat turns out to be the natural cleaning agent for the rubber layer :-D

These cost 8 bucks for a package of 2 at my local CVS.
They work great with my HOX. Use pretty much only for Draw Something, but I'm sure people have more professional uses for these.
Next to a standard pen for size. The tip is matte rubber ish? With foam inside, I presume. Soft to the touch and squishy.
Anyone use a stylus? What for?
EDIT: Is there a reason I can't upload attachments from either my desktop or the app??
Is the host down or something?

This is the same stylus my friend uses for his iPad, and it works great.
I'll have to grab one next time I'm at CVS.

Uhm we strongly need this.
I just emailed him requesting one for the one S. I'll report back with his response .

Thank you Elloco for contacting him and keeping us informed. I really do hope its a favourable reply as it just looks perfect for our gaming needs. I'll even pay the £10 for Final Fantasy on the market.
No problem. He's still yet to answer. We should all E-Mail him.

Just mailed him myself too, the more that mail the better our chances.
Hey guys! Thanks for your support! I just saw this thread posted over on my Facebook so I thought I'd drop in and say hi. Hopefully I can get one made for the One S in the future!
Edit: I'm Ryan, GameKlip creator and long time xda member
Aahhhh good day to you fella and thanks for dropping in, was me that asked about the one x working for our one s
I remember you building your first during the good old G1 days, seen it grow from concept to what it has become today. Really looking forward to you hopefully bringing one out for the One S.

Hey guys, I got impatient waiting for a One S version so I went ahead and bought the One X thinking they were pretty much they same size. Fortunately, I was right and the One S fits the One X model of the gameklip perfectly (though I had to take off my cruzerlite case). I am really enjoying it and I figured you guys might want to see how it looks.
The clip is pretty sturdy and I have no trouble holding the controller. It feels like the weight is distributed very nicely to the controller so it doesn't feel like it's going to tilt backwards, which is something I was thinking would happen. The One S fits pretty snugly and doesn't wobble or anything. The only downside is that most games prefer to have you hold the landscape mode where the top of the phone is on the left hand side, but that blocks out the headphone jack. If you put it on the right hand side, the power button is blocked. Not big problems since you can use an app to force it to rotation whichever one you prefer. Access to the volume buttons and micro-usb port are unhindered, which is nice.
Whoops, forgot to include the pictures.
Nice!!! Sweet Job bro.
This is great news.
I wonder how the X fits in there if the S fits good. Haha

I originally thought because the One X is slightly taller and thicker that I might be able to use the One S with its case on. It's obvious to me now that I couldn't since the two are only millimeters differences. I can only imagine the One X being even more snug and secure. The sides where it holds the phone are covered in a felt-like material that makes sliding in and out pretty easy.

So playing with the klip you'd have to be extra careful how you tilt or lean because the device is capable of sliding out?

Nope, the klip is tight enough that there is enough friction to keep it secure. I just meant that it doesn't have that scratchy plastic on metal/plastic noise that I would expect if there wasn't any felt or whatever. I made a video to help demonstrate it but I can't link because apparently I haven't made 10 posts yet. Gotta stop lurking, I guess. :silly:
Here's a picture, I shook it vertically, back and forth, and rotated it. It didn't drop, but the entire klip did wobble when I rotated it which caused me to be scared for a second. Hope that helps.
You my friend are a bad ass
I'm definitely getting the Klip now thanks to you.

Nice one Hippocritical! I had asked about it working with our One S and was pretty much told flat out it wouldn't work. So glad you took the dive now I need to save some pennies. Appreciate the pics and updates.
Ok I've been on system overload since receiving my tab a few days ago.
Can anyone tell me why there are a couple of different nib types supplied with the note 10.1?

One reason is that they are spares which some users say eventually the nib wears slightly and needs to be replaced, another reason is the different feel that you get when using the other type with the note. The choice is yours!
Actually thats a very good question! All I can tell you is that I didn't change it since I got the tablet mid of August.

When I said eventually, I read on one of the posts in xda somewhere that they changed it after a year or so. The one that comes fitted with the pen apparently has a rubber tip (little bit of grey on the tip) this may wear sooner than the plastic ones. It all depends on usage I suppose and how heavy handed you are on the screen.
Wacom includes extras with all their digital tablets so I suspect that they included the spares out of policy along with different types for the experience for the user.

There is a metal ring like device that accompanies the nibs. Small hole at the end of the metal ring. Slide the nib in the hole and grip it and pull. Reverse will switch a new one in.

I think they all work in a capacitive screen
Any capacitive type stylus will work. You can find them at any store that sells tablet accessories. They look a little different than typical styluses, they have a little bulb for a tip. At least the one I have does.

yup, any normal stylus will work.
also, if you have any of the conductive foam that many IC's and things come packed in (it's dense and black, you cna test it by holding it and trying to use the screen), it makes a wonderful DIY stylus tip!
