Google Glass Launcher on MotoACTV - Miscellaneous Android Development

As anyone tried the Glass "ok, glass" launcher on a MotoACTV?
I know the moto doesn't have a mic but you can use one via the headset jack and would provide a view to see how the Glass Experience might work on a watch manufactured by motorola

Earphone and screen protector

Hey guys! I bought HTC sensation last week in India..I just wanted to know about two things :
1) I'm not able to identify whether my phone is already provided with screen guard out of the box? I bought one and it is not sticking on the edges
2) I'm used to canalphones and not earphones provided with the phone..can someone please suggest some good canalphones which go deep inside ears, and should be of mid range..
Thanx a lot in advance!
1) i had the same problem, and found a solution, follow these steps, (it worked for me to)click here
2) for earphones: i agree with u , but back than I wanted them wireless, perhaps also recommended for you
Definitely put a screen protector on your gorilla glass screen IT IS NOT as SCRATCH proof as claimed. - sand, keys and other sharp objects CAN scratch that smooth surface.
also you cant go wrong with other aftermarket -canal earphones out there
try checking out sennheiser's or go BEATS! cheers!
Earphones
Any particular brand which has good bass...If anybody is using one out here..please mention..
Also I checked the link for screen guard..Will order within a day or two after little bit of more searching..
The screen protector is not sticking properly because the Sensation's screen is curved up on the edge. Follow the hairdry technique on another thread or use a wet application screen protector like Zagg, Xtreme Guard etc.
If you need a headset with mic, the a-jays one+ is compatible with android. There's also the Incipio Capsule In ear headphones, which was made for iPhone, but you can easily configure what the buttons do on android by using a third party app. They're cheaper than the a-jays. If you don't need a mic, I've had the Soundmagic PL30 for 2 years now. They're cheap and sound great! You can get all of these from eBay.

Are there any tempered glass screen protectors that works for z4 tab?

Hi, I recently bought a tempered glass screen protector to my new z4 for tablet. After installing it I noticed that touch sensitivity is very poor.
I have temperd glass screen protectors on all my devices and I didn't notice anything like that on neither of them. So I wonder, did I get a bad product or for some reason z4 tablet is not compatible with temperd glass at all?
Are you guys using temperd glass on z4s, which ones are worth recommending?
By the way I bought Muvit protector.
I'm in Germany and just ordered this one, one week with no sensitivity issues. Here is the name.. Sorry it's the German title
REMYO Panzerglas Xperia Z4 Tablet. Displayschutzfolie Xperia Z4 Tablet mit Härtegrad 9H und abgerundeten Ecken 2,5D. Schutzglas für das Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet
Thanks for the info mate. So, you where using it for one week without tuch issues. That's great news!
Where did you order if from? I can't find it. Could you post a link?
I'm from Sweden so if I'm lucky enough, maybe your retailer ships to Sweden.
I found it on Amazon.de. Should be able to have it shipped to Sweden from Germany. this is my first tempered glass cover, normal use plastic ones.
I will say that it isn't the best for finger prints, but feels like the original screen.
They easily wipe off.
Hope it works well for you..... Let us know.

Deliverys from Amazon.de worked like a charm for me in the past. I found the product with ease. Unfortunatly there is one customer review pointing out bad sensitivity / trouble with input when typing just for z4 tablet. I'm little bit lost here, since you are saying that there are no issues.
May I ask you wich firmware are you running on your z4? Did you updated to 28.0.A.8.251 already?
yeah I'm running 28.0.A.8.251. I never had a any issues before putting it on though. I can't give you a money back guarantee.. . But I will share my experience. I did see some others on Amazon, but their reviews seemed a fake to me, might be the truth and worth a shot. I can give that one I recommended thumbs up after a week of trying it out.

Alright then, it sounds good enough for me. I'm ordering one right away. Thanks again!
Hi, I ordered one off ebay. It doesn't have a brand name so it just might have been some cheap stuff.
I had 2 issues with it:
First, I had very annoying input errors. The touchscreen did not register every touch, which was super annoying for typing text of course.
Secondly, the tempered glass broke when I entered it into the BKB 50 keyboard. It is only 0.3mm thick, so I thought it wouldn't be a problem, but it was.
Did not have the touch problems with the normal protection I used before.
I bought this from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WUBX7VG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
It's a tight fit, so no room for error. However, I haven't seen any touch degradation. It works. No lags in touches. Unless I pay attention, I can't tell the difference between it and the unprotected screen.
Transmissum est uti Tapatalk ab Xperia Z-IV mea.
wow so the point is when we use BKB50 we cant use tempered glass ?

Yes we can. Atleast Im using my z4 tablet with 0.3mm glasscreenprotector and the bkb50. And the tablet isn't allways on the keyboard, I have a separate foldable cover too. So z4 goes on and off from the keyboard and no cracks so far. It's a bit tight fit but no problems what so ever. Only problem that I did have was the sony's .251 update. After the update my touchscreen sensitivity went nuts. And only solution was to downgrade to previous firmware. If anyone still having problems with touchscreen sensitivity on .251 firmware I suggest downgrading. Heres how http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63116115&postcount=16
@petzku
i see
thank you for your explanation..
hopefully they will release the update soon that maybe more stable
I have tried the Brando Tempered Glass for Sony Z4 Tablet, and touch screen is not responding anymore.
There seem to be quite a lot of problems with the Z4 tablet and screen protectors, including the official PRT13 sony's one, and xperia support does not admit the problem.
On sony mobile forums, there seem to be a lot of problems with screen protectors and Z4 tablet.
(not only related to .251 firmware..)
Has anyone found a glass screen protector that doesn't interfere with the touchscreen? I just purchased one and it was interfering with the touchscreen sensitivity and input. If you have a suggestion on any good protectors let me know. I though this problem was resolved with the new software. I'm running android 6.0 right now

The Motong Tempered Glass screen protector from Amazon. Disregard though. I'm taking it off. It definitely decreases screen sensitivity.

Hi,
I bought this one in France and it s perfect no touch screen issue so far, and perfect fit
https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B0199UGLGS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
But I don't know if this trademark can be found somewhere else
This one (Rerii-Protector) which is great, the touch sensitivity is almost unaffected!
http://www.amazon.com/Rerii-Protect...&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I have bought different tempered glass screen protectors, but none has had a cut out for the proximity sensor, only for the camera. Even though some sellers show two cut outs on their photos.
Have somebody bought a protector with two cut outs that they can recommend? The Techgear one has some bad reviews unfortunately.

What do you think of this Fingerprint Friendly Tempered Glass for the Samsung S10?

What are your thoughts on this glass?
InvisShield True Fit for Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus
Mod Edit
Seems the same as Whitestone with a few exceptions. I do like that the camera cutout isn't there but I feel like Whitestone is easier to install with the kits they provide.
Might be a good idea to install that way! Thanks for the share. I ordered something similar from AliExpress, gonna take forever to get here and has some bad and good news for the fingerprint sensor
Im not going to blow money on these gimmicks. Tempered glass has soo many advantages too but the reality is- there is no great solution for the curved screen except a wet install and good case+ extreme care like not walking and using phone, not holding phone while getting out of car in gravel driveway, etc.

i think the front facing camera is optimised as is, adding extra glass will affect that.
Can you give us some pics and review please
FINALLY GOT MY GLASS TODAY AND IT WORKS!!
I tried first with standard way and fingerprint didn't work. Second try followed that video the mods took down and it worked perfectly!! I didn't even re-register my fingers. It's a little less accurate but I'd rather not have a cracked screen when i get careless over the next 3 years I own this phone.

I'm using it. My only issue with the glass in this thread is the absence of the camera cutout. I know before I had stated it seemed nice but my Whitestone has lifted up around the top while still actually being adhered to the phone. If I didn't have the cutouts then my front camera would be blurry. I assume this company would use similar glue and would end up with the same results later on.
get an insurance for it, and save money on your case!!!!

Dual screen audio jack mod

As many others have realized, LG majorly over-sighted the headphone jack on the dual screen case. After trying many aux cables to use with it, nothing worked. My stock beyerdynamic Custom studio cord didn't work, and neither did this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DKWQDYT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. So I got the slimmest decent quality cable I could find for a reasonable price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0SI1SG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. But that didn't work either. I was getting fed up and decided to just take the chance. I drilled out the jack cutout. Luckily I didn't damage anything. I used a 5/16ths drill bit and a small rolled up piece of 320 grit sandpaper to smooth out the inside and the edges. Now the syncwire branded aux cable fits perfectly. I know adapters / extensions exist, but I don't like the extra force/torque that it puts on the jack itself. So I hope this helps a few people. Good luck, and I'm not responsible for you damaging your device.

They were just using older v series phones as a reference, it seems. The v30 headphones work just fine.

I'm not in love with this mag charger. Sometimes it's difficult to be able to keep it connected if it's at a weird angle. Buying a bunch of extra ones wasn't fun either. I'd rather have had a USB-C option.
They may have used the V30, but it's still an oversight. You would think at least one person would try at least one pair of headphones with the dual screen case. Just my .02.
Edit : also, my dual screen outer glass cracked like all the rest. So I'm about to print this. Wonder if other people would like something like this.

Question pre installed screen protector

Is there really pre installed screen protector on the Xiaomi 13 as some mentioned? And is it any good? Surely it wont withstand a hit with a hammer, but for normal every day use, is it enough? Should I get another one while buying the phone? Like I have had Xiaomi phones that come with a rubber case and those cases are good. Never had a need to change them. How is the screen protector?

I haven't gotten mine yet, but as far as I recall Xiaomi includes a film screen protector with each phone. It works about as well as any other basic film screen protector. If you're the type of person that prefers glass screen protectors, though, you'll probably want to get one elsewhere.
If I get like tempered glass, will it limit the finger print reader functionality? It didn't really work so well on my Xiaomi Mi note 10 until I installed a specific custom ROM.

It may have been a thing a while back for glass screen protectors to lack the appropriate transmittance for optical fingerprint sensors like in the 13, but nowadays I believe they have it sorted. I would look for ones that advertise high transparency, sensitivity, or accuracy.

Pre-installed screen protector is sh*t, not pleasant at all to touch.
If you intend to use gestures, I recommend no protector at all.

That's surprising! I have a POCO F3 and have been using its pre-installed SP since I got it over six months ago. It's held up great so far and I don't notice any touch sensitivity issues!
Do you think the 13 uses a different setup?

I am using Xiaomi 13. Nope. Only Samsung has the fingerprint issue with tempered glass.
