Any body else use over 5gigs of data
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
yup
Happened to me too. Im only about 5 days into my cycle too so I have a while to wait before I get my regular speeds back. I think I only used 2.5 gigs though.
I woke up this morning to an Lte signal on my phone. Toledo Is up a day early.

It is definitely here but definitely not the fastest I've had I hope they turn the power up or something tomorrow when it goes official because I'm getting speeds on par with a good nights 3G right now.
I hope that it gets to my area by the end of August. We all know how well the rumors go.

idk what ur talking about but im getting like 29 down, never saw that even with "good" 3g speeds
My speeds seem a little down to. They were better when they were testing it. Hopefully it will pick up
Highest I've gotten is 3 down

I averaged about 6 down and 3 up all day. I did swap radios and try different things but mainly 6 down was max.
What rom and radios are you using? and what are you using to measure your speeds?
I am running Das BAMF Sense 3.0 rc4 with the official radio. I have switched radios but no noticeable difference and the speed test from the market.
I got a max of 10 down average has been about 5down. Using mr2 and das bamf gingerstrip. I was hoping for faster, maybe I'll try the mr2.75 radio
I'm standing I'm menards right now in toledo and only pulling 2
down. Seems slower today.
I was getting around 6 this morning downtown at the Gov't center using xtreeme speed test but only 3 with Speedtest.net go figure
I've been seeing very different results based on where I test to. Anywhere from 5.3 to 16 down. I think it will get better.
took this the other day lol
nd just took this right now
What rom are you running?
I'm in bowling green have had 4g for a few days but I work in whitehouse and can't pick up 4g

im running cm7 right now
I'm really thinking that some of these speed test results are off. Based on how long it's taken me to download some files, it's gotta be well over the 5 or 6 Mbit a lot of people are seeing. Something more on the order of 15 to 20 Mbit. Is there another way to test speed beyond speakeasy?
Have u been to a speakeasy

About twice a month, it seems like 4g data goes down in phoenix. Anyone experiencing this? I change to LTE mode in dad bamf settings and get nothing.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
Negative, I work in PHX live in Gilbert... it's never gone down for me... I have had the phone occasionally lock itself in 3G when I know I'm in a 4G zone, but a reboot or LTE on/off usually fixes that.
Mine was out last night but thought it was mostly due to storm, back up again as I am using it now. Queen Creek is my location.

Thanks guys, I am guessing it is a radio issue. Will try reseting.

i have lost my 4G service in Phoenix before but then i switch set dns to the google dns option and it works.
Other than sporadic issues lasting a few minutes, have not had any outages in the past few months. Out in the Queen Creek area.

How'd you like that storm? I live in the outskirts of Queen Creek where the microburst hit. Kinda weird seeing twenty powerlines turned into splinters, looks like something snapped them at the base like twigs.

no 4G in my area yet, although since yesterday the 3G has been going up & down regularly and is still doing it today. a friend of mine has a Droid Charge and has said the same thing is happening with her phone.
the "3G" logo will suddenly disappear & the bars will go off, then it'll either come right back up(or after a few seconds) and sometimes will show "1X".
i'm in Carlsbad, CA btw. i wonder what the hell Verizon is doing....
Mine cut out for a minute or so but nothing major.
i live in the tempe/scottsdale area and have never gotten 4g outages
Works for me as well. Scottsdale/Phoenix border.
Its been intermittent for a day or two in Dallas/Fort Worth when ever they do the network upgrade nationwide for the new networks to come online.
I've been noticing that for the last few days I can only get 2 bars anywhere in Dallas if the 4G-LTE symbol is present. If a call enterupts a data session and the phone drops to 4G, I get 4 or 5 bars. Is this normal? I used to get more bars and much faster internet.

The tower probably isn't broadcasting at full strength, I'm at 2 bars on LTE constantly also.
I really don't care, because 1 bar of LTE is faster then 5 bars of HSPA+, and that one LTE bar is still more stable then HSPA+.
What I notice is on LTE when I pull my phone out of my pocket I will have full bars of LTE then it will slowly drop down to one or two once I unlock the screen.

What part of Dallas? I have not noticed anything significant in north d (Richardson Plano and north on 75)
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
I have noticed this all over north dallas, from the galleria area all the way to frisco. It wasn't like this a month ago. I use to get 4 or 5 bars and over 50 megabytes a second. Now I can only get 10 to 12 megabytes a second.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using XDA App
I have noticed an average of about that as well. The key spots that got 45± still do though. Those are always within a few hundred feet of an obvious/visible tower tho
Bars could be a number of things. Using a network info app we found last month that the skyrockets bars are nowhere near accurate
Showing 1-2 bars where another att phone (tested with orig gs2 and an inspire) showed more bars but signal strength was identical

I have not really been paying attention to my signal strength. I saw this thread earlier this morning. I took this screenshot at tollway and park in West Plano where I have always received 4 to 5 bars. Also checked several other places as I ran errands and did not noticed any differences. Did not run speed test.
I was at Preston and Frankford today, and I finally started seeing 4 bars, and about 35 mb/s. But I was also at Hillcrest and Alpha, and saw only 2 bars.
Interestingly enough, I did notice that sometime I have more bars on my home screen, then they drop back down to 2 almost as soon as I open my apps, just like Cyberguycpt stated. Maybe it's a coincidence, but it sure didn't seem so.
Mine have done that since release
...all over the nation

Hehe, you were at Preston and Frankford? I live behind the Tom Thumb there. xD
Anyways, I've noticed that mine does the same thing. It has 4 bars, till I unlock, then it slows drops down.
Meh, I still get good speeds, so it really doesn't phase me.
Even with the new baseband the G2x has a unreliable GPS (sometimes needing a reboot to work, etc). Is the Gnex much better? (Generally, and in urban areas or heavy tree cover)

<30 secs always.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA
Yes, The gps on my gnex locks from a cold start within 15 seconds. After the first lock it's pretty much instant every time after that.
Thanks guys.. I ended up ordering one last night. Seeing the Jelly Bean demos at Google I/O was the straw that broke the camels back.
Ill see u there

With the new baseband and v21y update I get locks within 15 secs or so every time. Mostly instantaneously.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
As I said in another thread, with v21y I get <15 second locks nearly all of the time; once in a while it'll be back to the 2-3 minute mark.
