2 way radio please help find - General Questions and Answers

Hello xda,
I'm looking for an app that works preferably on bluetooth to be used to communicate with my co driver in a car using the standard headphones with mic (sammy)
I've so far tried android intercom (right idea but relied on voice detection for the ptt and was un reliable), I've also tried BlueFi Phone - this one didn't work very well, call quality was poor. Can anyone suggest an alternative? It would be too costly to simply make a phone call.
Thanks,
Conor

[Q] bamf rc2 car headset

does anyone know how to edit the script so that when you are hooked up to aux in the car and on a phone call the person can hear you talk through the mic on the phone. I know there is a work around but there is to much static and you cant hear. any help would be much appreciated.
I would also like to know this. I also think that the problem occurs whenever a wired headset is attached (the phone mic is muted).

Voice commands via Bluetooth mic

Has anyone had any luck in getting the microphone on a headset to work with voice commands via Bluetooth? If so, how did you do it and what voice control app do you use? I know this is an issue with Samsung Android phones - I have a Captivate, which devs eventually fixed and included the fix in custom ROMs - but every other Android manufacturer seems to get it right with the stock ROM. I just don't understand what's holding Samsung back, especially since I have a Samsung D407 that's about 6 years old that has working voice commands via Bluetooth.

[Q] looking for a bluetooth handsfree fm transmitter with audio streaming

Looking for something to give me both handsfree calling and allow for audio streaming to my car stereo. I was looking at the tunelink at bestbuy for audio streaming, only it does not provide a handsfree calling solution. I do not have an AUX input otherwise i would use the belkin aircast. Also portability is important. Has anybody come across something that will do both?
hey,
hit up Wireless wave. they have a bluetooth speaker that does exactly what youre looking for. Its made by Jabra
Thanks just saw the same thing at best buy today. The Jabra Freeway. I think I am going to get it. Its a little on the large side as it has 3 speakers, while I don't need any (going to use the fm transmitter) but have not seen anything better yet.

The one I have is no bigger then the palm of my hand. Its called the cruzer
Sent from my SGS2 LTE
I have read mixed reviews with that one. Do you do any audio streaming? If so how is the quality? That one is much smaller than the one I saw.

Motorola T505. Its handsfree and will either play music. on built in speakers or stream to car stereo using built in FM transmitter. Great quality sound, I have one
Thanks got the cruiser 2 today going to try it for a few days and if it does not work well, I may try it the Motorola.

[Q] Orginal headphones sound quality.

I got my NS on December and I am extremely happy with it, though I face a problem when it comes to talking to someone through the original headset. According to them, they can hear all the background noises WAY louder than they are supposed to and they cannot hear my voice! This is clearly a headset problem since I get no such complaints when I am using the phone's microphone and although I can accept that there will be some extra bg noise when talking through the headset I find it hard to believe that I would deafen them by the use of my hands free.
Does anyone face the same problem? Does someone have to propose another kind/3rd party headset that would work better or perhaps some sort of a software tweak that elludes me...
Running ICS 4.0.4 stock unrooted.
Thank you in advance.
Was having problems with my head phones too. I bought new Samsung head phones and everything is perfect now so I'll suggest u try getting a new set.

How can I receive a bluetooth audio stream on my GS3?

I've got an Avantree Saturn bluetooth transceiver hooked up to my home stereo. When it's in Receive mode I can send audio from my GS3 to the stereo.
However, you can also Transmit audio from the Saturn. I want to send the audio from my home stereo by bluetooth to my GS3, so that I can listen with headphones on my GS3. I don't want to use a bluetooth headset. I want my GS3 to receive the bluetooth signal. This will be helpful when I want to listen to the TV (which is hooked up to the home stereo) silently on my GS3.
I can't figure out how to receive a bluetooth audio stream into my GS3. Can anyone help?
Bump
Have you tried putting the device in discovery mode and then have the GS3 do a scan for Bluetooth devices. If the phone finds the device during the scan, it should allow connection and then present whatever options are available when connecting to that device.

Does the s3 have the option of receiving audio streaming? I think only particular Bluetooth devices have that such as stereos

That's the question that I don't know the answer to. I'm suspecting that it can't, since there doesn't seem to be anyone doing it and there's no app to allow it. These posts and others suggest that it's not possible: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...udio-from-pc-to-android-device-over-bluetooth
I guess that the apps that allow you to stream from a PC use wifi, not bluetooth.
If I had to guess. I would say No. It would be a nice feature. But I don't think our cellphones are designed for receiving audio through Bluetooth!
