is this normal that your android cant anymore free some space for your certain app and forces that app to crash and your system will be on a bit lag. and your only way to fix this is to reboot your phone? i thought android will free space automatically. btw i have 980mb of ram and i dont have any apps installed except for stock apps.

Hello Guys...I'm new here and I hope that we can benefit greatly from each other.
Any way I have a Question and I hope you answer it for me.
I had a galaxy s and I noticed when I open the Android Assistant App (Task Manager, App Uninstaller..etc), I find lots of apps that are running without opening them. Resulting a decrease of my ram. Now I'm using an XPERIA X10 and my ram is 384mb approx. How Can I Prevent Those Apps From OPENING?
Most of them aren't actually running, they're just cached.
It happens so that if you want to run one of these, it doesn't have to be read from internal memory, and it'll load much faster. And they can be removed from memory without delay if you want to run something else.
There is no reason to remove them from memory just so you can have more. The only reason to do so would be if one of them is misbehaving and draining battery or making the phone lag.
I purchased a Quickoffice app to install but I cannot. I tried installing other apps and I get the same problem. I get a dialogue box that tells me that my phone is out of space and that I need to free up some space. But my phone's intenal storage can still handle about 138MB. And the apps especially Quickoffice is just 5MB. I went to manage apps on my phone and cleared as much data as I could. I even cleared some RAM memory just to free up some space. But I still can't install any app I download. What do I do? Do I have to get my phone reformatted? Thanks.
P.S. My phone's upgraded to 2.2 Froyo and have allowed download/installation of apps from non-market sources. Thanks!
On low-end Android phones as time goes by, memory gets eaten up, giving me messages about needing to delete apps to free up space - less is available. i do delete apps and such makes a minimal difference....
What eats up the storage space on Android ? Is there a user guide on this ?
thanks
Hi at all guys.
I have a lot of problem with the memory space of my z3
Using Diskusage, i saw that not only I have only 11,5GB of memory(instead of 14,9), but I also have 2,3GB of system data.
For a total 6GB of system apps, not counting the useless google apps for example.
Is that norma? I only have hearthstone on my phone, and i costantly have problem with the free space!
I think it's normal actually. When I get home I will check

It's normal bro, sony rom takes a lot of memory space.
There's a way to remove some bloadware without root? Like with some app? Or with the upadate to Android 6.0
Yeah sadly it's normal. Even with the marshmallow Sony Rom I have 11.5GB free
i'm fine with 11,5gb. But other than that, there are other system data + bloatware that you can't uninstall :/ I think I have something like no more than 5/6gb that i can use
After reboot my phone I have more than a gigabyte free RAM. But few days after that with used some apps I have only 600-700 MB RAM free and I don't know what is using it.
I mean after I stop using some app i force stop it from the app manager because I don't want it to stay loaded in the memory but don't know why the memory doesn't release.
Is Android cache some RAM without my knowledge?
I upload a screenshoot from L Speed.

Your OS using Your RAM. It's not normal for android to leave lot of RAM free. Thats not how android works. He load most used app so You can call them quick. You can google about that and read some article about how android menage RAM. I have 3GB RAM, in use is about 2 or 2.2! If i have 2GB of RAM than system used will use around 1 or 1.5gb. Every model have different RAM MENAGING! You don't need free RAM, if You start some app which need more RAM, system will immediately free enough RAM. All process have priorities, low priorities will be killed first to free up memory!
So don't wory about RAM in android OS! ?

Ok thanks than.
A certain amount of RAM will automatically be taken up by the GPU, which is why your 1 gig will be 832mb or thereabouts when you look at how much you have through CPU-Z or a similar app.
in system there are alot of apps that runs in background ie.. your messages ,dialer.. we can't stop that apps.... but yeh you can use greenify or similar to force stop your downloaded apps so your phone runs smooth.. also disable some system apps you can't use . because now days new androids come with alot of apps and we only use some apps
