I am planning to buy sony xperia m2 dual and I have compared it with sony xperia c and I found that sony xperia c have higher specifications over xperia m2 but it has a fatal problem that it's internal memory is only 4gb and the xperia m2 has 8gb internal memory so I have decided to buy el xperia m2 but I wqant to ask about its power consumption because the long-life battery means a lot to me especially that the xperia c has a mediatek chipset and 2390 mAh battery and xperia m2 has a qualecomm snapdragon 400 chipset and 2300 mAh battery .. and I have read that qualecomm power consumption is higher than mediatek consumption in some sites and some other sites said that qualecomm is power saver than mediatek ... so I ask for your advice with this xperia m2 especially that it's specifications meet my requirements except the power consumption that I can not estimate ... thanx in advance for your patience and advice
battery performance is good on M2
good
I would also rate battery performance as surprisingly good. Low resolution = lower processing power needed in games.
Hey all
Lets take a look at Sony's latest budget offering, the Xperia E3. Dont be confused by the name, the previous version was the E1, but looks like Sony has skipped one to bring it up to its Z3 range. Feel free to discuss the Sony Xperia E3 specifications.

Everything is an upgrade of something before it.
Interestingly the kernel sources call this device E2, so the name was probably changed at the last minute.
i just bought an E3 and my internal storage have 2Gb, how is it possible ? I think is not so big problem and i bought a 16gb card. Now i have to wait for something that roots this phone.

Hi, you mean that you've got about 2GB of free ROM. It's because of already installed firmware on a device. Yeah,it's ridiculous but apparently it's normal in a case of every brand. It would be the best to have a model with 8GB ROM or just we have to use SD card to gather there multimedia and apps but I prefer to have apps in internal memory.
WRO-ONG!
If you read Sony E3 instruction, you'll see that your picture is missing a lot of things!
http://sony-xperia.mobi/eng/sony-xperia-e3-dual/286-sony-xperia-e3-dual-user-guide-manual-d2212.html
+ NFC (with a possibility of digital payments - said in the instruction)
+ DLNA
+ ATN+
+ TFT IPS (not just a TFT)
+ Where you put all the sensors, right at that spot there is a LED notifications light (for battery charge and calls and texts)
+ You forgot to mention LTE or 2SIM-cards support (depends on the submodel)
+ You forgot to include ambient light sensor (proximity sensor is in every phone, but light sensor - not)
+ You forgot to mention Dragontail durable glass on the screen
+ You forgot to mention "only Android menu buttons, no hard buttons"
And yes, 4Gb means that only around 2Gb is available for the user, since some space is taken by the system. That's why everybody's waiting for a root solution - to simply plug in 32Gb MicroSDHC and swap internal memory with external in the vold.stab. Voila - 32Gb phone you have, LOL.
Hi,
Just one addition to that list of Xperia E3 features:
its battery is non-changeable (is placed internally) which means that you can pull it out by simple disassembling of a device and what's better, in some service point if you're not dextrous in those hardware issues.
I just got this phone, overall this phone is good, with 1,2 quadcore, switching between apps are smooth, so far I find no laggines. The design is simply perfect. It's a bit too long for me, kinda doesn't really fit in on my pocket, but I love this phone, currently waiting for the root and other stuff here at XDA
Uninstall unwanted apps?
Almost all of the pre-installed apps have NO uninstall method - just "disable".
Bonkers when available free space is less than 2GB...

True, although it has an "off switch" inside, which you can use instead of pulling the batt in case of trouble. Long-press power button does nothing.
How is battery life how much screen on time u guys getting..?

Got the phone yesterday. On first charge around 4+ hours with heavy use (detailed configuration, app installs, tests etc) + wifi always on. Haven't yet tried how it goes when 4G is turned on...
Hi Guys, I've read that this phone has a barometer, is it true? If yes, how to enable it?
Thanks.

On first charge screen on time over 6h.
But every next charge it is around 4-5h
Maybe battery lost some capacity because I didn't put it on charger when I buy the phone. Instead of it, I've drain it maximum.

I have been wondering how we can use any Micro SD cards in the Tab as a RAM The performance of the tab is decent with the 1 GB RAM currently but it with some games like Asphalt 8 there are certain issues at times with frame freeze/drops on online gaming. Please suggest a sure shot way to do this.

There's some trick using ram expander, swap ram, but u need to find rom that support swap. Try this h.t.t.p://en.miui.com/thread-18816-1-1.html
