XBMC Custom Build - Android Stick & Console Computers General

Hi guys,
Hi Guys,
I have a Tronsmart T428 and have finally got XBMC Windows SMB share working as it should
I am using xbmc-13.0-Gotham_alpha2-armeabi-v7a-repack as this is the only version of XBMC that works with 4.1.1 on the T428, but now I am missing all the plugings, Repo's and shortcuts.
I wondered if anyone knows how to make a custom build like XAF Custom Build for NEON Set Top Boxes with all the plugins etc pre-installed and ready to go based on the xbmc-13.0-Gotham_alpha2-armeabi-v7a-repack?
Thanks

[Q] Trio Stealth Pro 4.0 driver porting - where to begin?

Hi, first time posting so I hope I am in the right section. I recently acquired a MachSpeed Trio Stealth Pro tablet. When I received it the previous owner tried to flash the tablet to the unofficial Cyanogenmod 9 ROM that is floating around for the AllWinner A10 tablets. In doing this he rendered the tablet unusable. After doing some research I found out what I have is an updated model with a A8 Cortex A13 instead of the A8 Cortex A10. I did some searching and found a Cyanogenmod ROM for the A13 that mostly works with this unit. I was able to modify the key-map and get all the buttons working. The real problems are the auto-rotation and the camera do not work. I found another ROM that both devices work on and I have tried everything I can think of to try and get the known working kernel modules from one ROM to load with the CM kernel but I have been unsuccessful. I have tried to "insmod" the modules that I know work but I receive the following error, "insmod: init_module 'gc030809.ko' failed (Exec format error)" and the output from "dmesg" is " gc030809: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout" (The other module gives the exact same errors). I have learned this is happening because of the way modules are written for android with them being version and kernel specific. I want to fix this if possible and have a fully functional tablet again. Unfortunately I do not have a dump of the original ROM and my programming skills are basic at best. I know its a long shot but can anyone help me? The ROM that contains the known working modules is "F1(A13)-20121102.1.0.3.img" which belongs to the A13 version of the LY-F1 so I am thinking this tablet I have is a close clone. The CM ROM I am trying to use is "CM9.1-Manta-mid08-alpha7.zip" and was created for the Manta Mid-08. Both ROM's are ICS 4.0.4 with kernel version 3.0.8+. I can provide links to both ROM's. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Q: How to exchange kernel from 2.6 to 3 ?

Hi everybody,
a lot of people over here in Germany are using a new car navigation system DSR-N 270 / 370 running 4.0x with old 2.6 kernel.
Here is the link, site is only available in german language unfortunately:
http://www.pearl.de/a-PX8324-5446.shtml
We would like to use DAB software but this only runs under 3.X kernel.
Can anybody out there help to upgrade the 2.6 kernel to 3.0 ?
2.6 kernel for this navigation system is available as source from the supplier:
ftp://ftp.pearl.de/treiber/PX8324_12_134138.rar
Any help would be really appreciated as Android now also enters
car navigation market !

Joachim

Xbmc 13.1 for AML8726-MX

Hey guys,
Since I'm new on the forum and I'm not allowed to post in this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2418029, i'm doing it here...
I just bought and received a E-M6 Android tv device, with the AML8726-MX chipset.
It came with Android 4.2 and XMBC 12.3 installed as an Android app.
I was not able to update the XMBC app to the latest version, tried all kinds of things.
Plus, as I only want to use this device for watching/streaming videos, i don't need all the Anroid shizzle, so I decided to flash the device.
I used an image from the topic above (MX_LINUX-1.00-G18REF_MX2REF-NEWMTD-update.zip)
Flash was succesful within a few minutes (I used an Sandisk Class 10 SD card)
After reboot, I see it's also XBMC 12.3.
Is there another image that I can flash my device with? And that embeds XBMC 13 or 13.1?
Thanks in advance if someone can help me out!!
Find the xbmc apk in your update image and replace it with the version you want install. Most likely it's in /system/app. Reflash and you should be good.

Thanks 4 reply, but there is no apk file in the image.
The image contains an MX Linux with xbmc 12.4 embedded in a way I don't know neither understand
Can you maybe download the image as well and check some things (see first post for url),
Any other ideas?
There is a very good Gotham build out by codesnake. It's called openelec 4.xx. That exactly what you are looking for

[Q] tv tuner plug to Q102

Hi Devs, i have a question about compatibility tv tuner via tablet. the tv tuners are A867(AF9015) and DVBT USB DONGLE(IT9135), the tablet is Maxxxer Q102(4.4.2 android, QuadCore A31) and kernel version 3.3.0 . Tv tuners play perfect on windows 7. I found some drivers(modules) for android version as ****.ko but are not for my kernel version. I tried to <<install>> it on modules as <<insmod>> but it say <<exec format error>> . My question is how can i make it right for my kernel version, or how can i make it play otherwise?
P.S. if my theard is in wrong section please transfer it in right. Thanks a lot
Hi, I'm not proposing you exact guide how to get working your particular tuner but very similar one based on same chipset. So you will have idea how to compile your own modules.
