Stuck in boot - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well earlier this week I was trying to revert back to stock and something must of f'ed up because now I get stuck at the Asus boot screen with the loading circle. I am coming from CyanogenMod 10.1 using TWRP. I was able to flash the stock rom using fastboot but like I stated; it gets stuck at the loading circle screen. Any help?

Did you flash the correct TWRP afterwards>? You have to wipe the device inside of TWRP after you revert to 4.1 or you will get stuck in a loop. Happened to me too. Also, did the progress bar finish? You should still have fastboot access right?

Yes i'm 99.9% sure I flashed the correct TWRP. The progress bar DID finish, and yes, I still have access to fastboot.

Ok try wiping /data /cache and /dalvik . Should fix you right up. ONLY use the option in twrp though. Do NOT use the wipe in the bootloader menu or you will brick they say.

Can you still boot into recovery? also make sure your cwm is the correct version with JB. If you can boot into recovery, flash Asus JB stock rom, let me know if it boot up (this step ensure that you have JB boot loader) and update all the components. Let me know how it goes, then we move to the next step.
Which version of CleanROM?...original or CROMI?
I don't know exactly what I did but got it to work...

I already fixed it by reflashing via STOCK recovery but anyways it would refuse to boot on any rom even if i flashed the stock rom from fastboot or from TWRP but only stock recovery could fix it lol

Cant RCK tf300t

Hi, Im trying to install cm 11.0 on my tf 300t, im trying to install TWRP. The boot loader is unlocked and the device is rooted. I tried get into the fast boot menu but cant. I hit Power and vol down and get into a new screen with a row of 3 icons. I see the RCK and hover over the button for 5 sec... nothing happens. I waited for 5 min an nothing happened. I then tried to hit the volume up button but that fails and re boots me into the OS. Im running 4.2.1. Is there a Fix for this problem? Can I install TWRP another way? (maybe through ADB?) Thanks

The first time you install TWRP, it should be through ADB (fastboot). Flash it from your computer. After that, you will be able to flash ROMs from the recovery menu on the tablet.

AHAHHAHAHA IM SO STUPID xD. On android 4.2.1 you dont get a message, you can just send the file over through adb. Nothing happens if you hover over the screen. Thanks for the help.
Now I have another problem, both TWRP and CWM don't have access to any files. They still boot up, but they don't have the ability to install or find any files or create logs. Im getting the errors saying nothing can mount.

Did you flash the 4.2 TWRP file? CWM has no version that woks with the 4.2 bootloader, except for the one in the flatline.img for NVFlash. If you flashed the regular TWRP recovery by mistake, follow the instructions here to recover, and start all over again. Remember to choose the correct recovery.

Ok, so i'm assuming I need the openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-tf300t-4.2.blob file. I DO have access to fastboot, can I just flash over the other Twrp recovery installed? Or do I have to follow the steps at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44244313&postcount=12 ? Thanks.
So I ended up flashing the blob file, and it did work. But when I tried installing CM11 I got an error and it shut down. Now I had a boot screen of the ASUS logo, flashing on/off every 20 sec. BUT I did make a backup, and was able to restore the system from that. Can anyone tell me what I have to wipe/do to install CM 11 on the tf300t? Or even cm 10.2 if its easier.
some (maybe) useful info
- I can boot into fastboot
- I can boot into the OS
- I do have a backup in case anything goes wrong
- I have twrp 2.6.3

Do not use TWRP manager to install recovery. Use Flashify.
TWRP manager flashes to the wrong block. It flashes to mmcblk0p43 where as you need to have it on mmcblk0p44.
What version of firmware are you on. You will need to update your boot image.
To get out on the bootloop I had to install a Rom which was viper Rom 2.4. When I boot my phone, it still shows the twrp splash screen with the red text at the bottom. Doesn't even show boot animation. Seems like it freezes then home screen pops up like nothing's wrong. Any way I can get my HTC splash and aninmation back. Tried flashing a new boot animation but won't take. Is it still trying to boot to twrp.

Like other person said. You flashed your recovery to your system. You need to go to boot loader an fastboot recovery so it goes where it is supposed to. Then enter recovery via bootloader so you r really in recovery then flash your ROM an it will take care of your issue. Always fastboot recovery to avoid these problems.
I did the same thing through TWRP manager, and reflashed recovery through fastboot, restored, works fine. Thanks for the fix

TWRP Boot Loop

Hi,
I tried yesterday to return my Nexus 5 to a stock image so that I could do OTA updates. I realised after that I also had to return it to stock recovery because TWRP was not letting it work.
using this tutorial, I booted into the latest TWRP image, which only caused my phone to go into a boot loop, only making it as far as the Teamwin screen. The phone will not load the bootloader to do anything with fastboot.
what are my options?

What do you want to do exactly? Restore stock recovery so that you can take the OTA? If you followed either one of the methods on that thread, you should already be stock, i don't get why you booted TWRP again.
Hi,
As I mentioned, following that tutorial, I just booted into the TWRP image. It wasn't that tutorial I used to flash the stock image. All that I did was get back to the stock android.
I originally did try using their method, but wasn't able to get the .sh script to run so I used another tutorial to flash the android image, but didn't have a boot or recovery that I flashed. I was able to download the update now and tried installing, but it would take me to the TWRP recovery and say that the update failed.
I was following the optional steps at the bottom, thinking that was what I needed to lock everything back up, clearly that wasn't right.

Press and hold power for 30 second, the device will try to boot but just keep holding the power. Then press and hold vol down and power. It doesn't boot into the bootloader?

Hi,
I tried this again today and was able to get into it. Yesterday it didn't want to boot into it for some reason. Followed the tutorial I posted from the start to re-flash everything, and so far seems to be working. Hasn't loaded into android yet, just stuck on the loading screen, hoping it's just the initial start up that sometimes takes a while.

FYI the TWRP boot loops are due to MTP bug that was never fully fixed from 2860. It's better than it used to be, but still an issue occasionally, especially if connected to power while you try to get in to TWRP.
