Any working Rom for your phone
Rom to port
Rooted Phone
Remeber!!! All Rom will not work on your device
First of all you need to choose a porting rom of phone with similar spec's as your phone have i.e Processor,Ram,internal Storage, size,Camera and same android version otherwise it will not boot up
Then make two folders one named base and second named port
Put any working Rom files for your phone to folder named base
Then put the downloaded working Rom you want to port to the folder named port
Copy these files from stock to port:
System/etc/firmware (whole folder).
System/lib/modules (whole folder).
System/usr/keylayout/generic.kl
Meta inf/.../update script
Meta inf/.../ update binary
Boot.img
Repack it in Zip folder not Rar..Put it into the root of your SD go into recovery wipe data wipe cache and flash your created Rom and you are done Happy Porting Please give feedback if got success and need anyhelp.. Dont Forget to click the thanx button. This is all i need in Return

Question: I have a stock rom of my Samsung Express i437. I have located everything you mention in the System folder but there is nothing named Meta Inf/ in my ROM and no file named "update script" or "update binary". So can you give me some guidance here on what I am supposed to do. All the other folders and files have been located. Where do I find Meta inf/.../update script and Meta inf/.../ update binary?

Now this Status 0 error is due to update binary file located in meta-inf folder.
To fix this just took out update binary file from any rom which works on ur phone nd then copy it nd paste it in ur port rom's meta-inf folder.
Problem done now u will not get any status 0 ,6,7 error.!!
Nd one more thing this guide is for mediatek smart phones not htc or samsung phones!!

Guide to make a2sd work in custom roms

hello.i open this thread to show you how to solve a2sd not working on custom roms so you people can use your favorite rom with all the features and rom developers can continue developing of their rom and make them more and more better.
First of all the reason why a2sd dont work and ext partition doesnt mount:
for these feautures and others that dev gives as with his rom,the kernel ramdisk is modified (by xda kitchen or "by hand").so if this boot.img is not flashed into your phone, those feautures wont work.every custom rom have her boot.img into the flashable rom.zip.the thing that our rom creators and devs dont know(cause all phones are not the same) is that the boot.img in the zip doesn flash!.our phone cant flash boot.img from recovery and the reason is because in this phone kernel and recovery are in the same partition and not separately partition like most phones.
The solution:
REMEMBER THAT YOU DO IT WITH YOUR OWN RISK!
its just very simple:the only thing you have to do is to flash the boot.img that comes with your rom and the only way to do that succesfull is with Odin.(this ofcourse will give the custom bin counter 1 up because its a modified and not stock kernel).also have in mind that you have to flash it once.if for any reason you want to reflash your rom,you just do wipe data etc and reflashing the rom.zip.its not necesary to reflash the kernel(boot.img) again.its still there and will only change if you flash another boot.img or stock firmware with Odin.
So i will give two options.
1.download my PDA_S5360_kernel.tar from TermaRomGR threadhttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1520167(the mods in all of these kernel are about the same).flash it with Odin in pda field (first try without wipe anything or reflashing stock firmware first.just boot in download mode, flash with odin and reboot,it should work ok.DONT FORGET TO BACKUP YOUR ROM FIRST!JUST IN CASE!).reboot may take more time dont worry.when phone is on your ext partition should be mounted.you can try with terminal simulator:
su
a2sd check
if everything is ok you can remove your dalvik cache to your sd if you want for more internal memory free space:
su
a2sd cachesd
the phone will reboot.it will late to reopen just be patient and then your internal memory will be almost empty.but have in mind that this partition is not as fast asthe internal memory so some apps or games maybe slow a bit.
2.the other option is to flash the kernel(boot.img) that come with your custom rom.how to do that (thanks to Doky):
copy the boot.img that is inside the zip of the rom you are using.
download my PDA_S5360_kernel.tar
find in web the program total commander for windows
open t commander and in left window navigate to my PDA_S5360_kernel.tar file and get into it.in the right window find the boot.img of your rom.drag it and drop it to the left window so it replace the boot.img into the .tar file with yours.its ready.just flash it with Odin.
Some important things too that i notice from my experiments:
with busybox 1.18 your rom will not boot after nove dalvik cache to sd
it will work nice with 1.17 but its not suitable for people who want to run v6 script.for those who want to run v6 you must download busybox instaler from market and install v1.19.2.if after that you have problems with wifi try another version (1.19.3 or 1.19.4).and report back what works ok and what not so all people together can find the best setup.
Please tell to the devs of your roms to read this thread so they learn about the solution to this problem so they can create even better and better roms
I love you. I'll try this tomorrow.

Oh, so I can take a stock firmware from Doky73's thread and modify it thru xda kitchen and change the kernel to include just init.d support (I kind of hate a2sd at the moment)? What about ext4 file system support? Is this possible?
By xda kitchen you mean the one by dsixda, right?
just like to ask if a2sd's low memory setting would conflict with [email protected] scripts?
coz after installing a2sd in my phone with [email protected] script, i sometimes notice that memory usage would reach 240+?

1.yes its necesary to have an ext2 or ext3 partition.you can create it with skin1980 CWM recovery in advance/partition sdcard.a partition 500Mb is enough.(before do it backup everything from your sdcard to your pc because this procedure will erase everything in your sdcard.)
2.for Odin google it Odin3-v1.85.Here is how to do it:
1. you put my tar in pda field and the other remain empty(check only "Auto reboot" and "F.reset time")
2. Now turn off your Samsung Galaxy Y (just for make sure is completely off, remove the battery for a few sec and put that back)
3. Press Volume[-] + Home + Power to boot in Download Mode
4. Hold the buttons until a warning screen with choise show up.
5. Select Continue (Volume[+]), then it`s go to download mode
6. Connect the cellphone (via USB cable) to PC, wait until ODIN detect the device.
7. Click Start
8. Wait until ODIN give feedback respon PASS
it`s mean the flashing proccess is complete. Samsung Galaxy Y will auto reboot.
9. unplug the USB cable from PC/Laptop
Thanks bro, I have 2 questions more,
before flash your PDA is it necessary to go back to stock rom?
Currently I'm using V6 with busy box v1.18 on hybrid2.1, should I change it to v1.19.2?
Your link for v1.19.2 in terma rom thread is not working.

A few questions!
Hello!
Thank you for this software, it worked with making a dump of my rom. How do you create a scatter file to use in SP Flash Tool? Or do you have another program that I can use to flash these files back onto the phone?
The SP Flash Tool I am using V2.1129.00 does not show as many partitions as what was backed up by my phone with the default MT6573 scatter file that it comes with.
I keep getting errors trying to load/burn the files to my phone.
PLEASE HELP!!

You can try this:
Copy the backup_ folder from your sd card to your computer. Now place a copy of a the scatter file.txt in that folder.
Now in SP Flash tool, browse to the folder and select the scatter file that you placed.....all files will be loaded automatically......
It didnt work . . .
Hello!
I took your advice and attempted to load the scatter file from the same folder that the backup partitions are in.
A few of they files loaded on their own, not all of them, and their are still partitions missing.
When I open the scatter file in txt editor it shows all partitions.
When I open the scatter file in smart phone flash tool i only show
preloader
dsp
uboot*
bootimg*
recovery*
secro
logo*
android*
usrdata
The files above are what shows in sp flash tool program and the ones with the * are the files that load automatically.
I did try a smart phone flash tool version 5.1140 and the scatter file did load correctly with all the partitions, but again not all load and I get an error when I try to load them manually. In addition, I have never been able to successfully use version 5.1140 to flash.
I was able to flash in version 2.1129, but as I said I couldnt load every partition so I am missing my nvram and other partitions.
Can you recommend anything else?
Maybe a different version of sp flash tool that you know works? Maybe a different program all together?
THANKS!
@Bala
Yo, bro, its been awhile since our last chat ! You have been like an android modding/ hacking teacher/ guru & i'm sure alot of users will benefit from all of it...
@LeStonga
Yes, in fact your are correct, there is a software by linerty(these russians are so 'terror', not only hacking but coming out with tools to make it easier) that converts the extracted firmware.info back into scatter.txt...You can find the tuts & tools here.
The tuts even show you ways to upload with FlashTool too ! i know there is an upload function but never knew the way to use it though...
Hello balamu96m!
Thank you for your suggestions, that was the website which I first followed instructions for.
As you can see however, even when Bruno (administrator of the tutorial you provided in the link) opened his scatter file, nvram partition is not shown. I was able to use the program balamu96m pointed me to and it made perfect backups of all my partitions.
My problem is that sp flash tool loads my scatter file and it is the same as Bruno's which is lacking several partitions, especially the nvram partition.
If i use an updated sp flash tool (v5), when I load my scatter file all of my partitions are shown, including nvram, but I have never had any success flashing my phone with that version.
Maybe I can use that version but someone has to help me set up the configurations to flash . .. i.e. download with or without battery, com, baud rate, etc.
Sp flash tool V2.11 was easy to use and straight forward, but even though my scatter lists all my partitions (when i open in a text editor), it only loads the partitions shown in bruno's tutorial, not including nvram.

Yo, bro, its been awhile since our last chat ! You have been like an android modding/ hacking teacher/ guru & i'm sure alot of users will benefit from all of it...
@LeStonga

Hi yuweng bro!
It seems miui is going to release their source code........i read in the russian forum at 4pda that one mtk6573 was running miui 4 (ics).......is that true??
So when miui sources are out, can we build one for our mi-357/350n??
Waiting for your reply
@Bala
AFAIK, Miui public part of their source code before the launch of their first android phone, Xiaomi M1 & now launching their next version M2 which is based on ARM Cortex-A8 & coincidentally, its just been launch today ! Its fully supported by the Miui team & it has two ROM, one ROM for daily use & the other one for you to flash their 'nightly' built. Best is that you can switch over to either one of them at any time ! Great for android enthusiastic...
However, of all hundreds over MT65xx android phone manufacturer all over the world, non of them actually ported it to Miui ! There is only one answer to this, it will be copied over to all other MT65xx ! Thats what Chinese are best at...(Oopps, i'm a Chinese too...)
So, i think you won't see an official Miui phone on MT65xx platform... Currently, official Miui ROM is for single SIM... You can check out Miui sources here & here
If its really true that the russian has ported Miui to MT65xx, very soon we'll have Miui running on every MT65xx...
What you said on the other thread is true, if Mediatek keep on keeping their source code, i think very soon they can keep it to themself forever.... No android enthusiastic will ever buy their phone ever... Even HTC has released the source code for a whole bunch of devices recently after been pressured by android enthusiastic...
@LeStonga
AFAIK, FlashTool is not for flashing NVRam(IMEI). However, you can use it to backup NVRam then restore it. Typically, you only need to download boot, recovery, logo, android, usrdata. Normally, i just download 'android' partition only(system.img) I normally put a 'tick' at 'No Action' for NVRam...

Allow me to answer ...
To restore this backup, 1st you need to convert the firmware.info into your own scatter.txt file. Read here : http://bm-smartphone-reviews.blogspot.com/2012/04/creating-rom-dump-of-your-mt65x3-device.html
Then you run SPflash tool, choose your scatter file and the appropriate area to flash. You don't need to flash all area. Just boot+system (android) to restore is sufficient. You can change the file by double-click at the appropriate row. Untick to deselect, tick to select which area to flash.
Again, no need to flash the whole thing ... some file contains private info such as nvram/userdata. I've read that many device already bricked by flashing wrong file (specially uboot) unless it's from your own backup.
no cache.img, system.img, data.img

they are really important...................you can retry the process again.......it should work.....!
silly me
found out the problem. looks like i didn't do exactly one of your step "extract into sd card". i actually extract the content into a folder inside the sd card, so gscript can't find the "Install" folder. I copied the folder into sd card and redo the process then those file showed up. LOL.

I assume you use dsixda's kitchen.
Set up working folder for stock rom
Go to advanced > tools for boot.img
> unpack boot.img
Navigate to the folder called Boot-extracted.
> rename it to something else (for now: stock boot)
Set up working folder for port rom.
Go to advanced > unpack boot.img
Do a google search for 'winmerge' > install program (free).
Open winmerge, for left navigate to the 'stock boot' folder, and select init.rc (about 40kb)
For right, navigate to the port 'boot-extracted', and select init.rc (about 40kb)
In winmerge find lines like this
Chmod camera blablabla (on the left pane you will see where there are differences)
Chown camera blablabla
If there are differences in those lines, copy the stock lines, and overwrite the port ones
Save the files (crtl+s)
Navigate to boot extracted folder, you can close winmerge. Copy stock Zimage (from 'stock boot' folder) to port, and overwrite the Zimage there with stock one.
Go back to kitchen, > advanced > tools for boot.img > build new boot image.
Unable to open your site for downloading ROM, could you reupload please.

Customized rooted stock rom for xolo q3000

Dear XOLO Q 3000 users,
I customized the stock ROM of Xolo Q3000 and porting it here. The CWM recovery was extracted from the Droid tool. Though it is rooted one to get shell root kindly use Explore.apk and provide read write permission.
The rom can be downloaded from the google drive url: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8Fgu4wkBnqYzEzWE5Fd2N2ajQ/edit?usp=sharing
I have already provided the recovery file in an earlier porting.
If there is anything more please ask for. I am Modding the HDC note3 4.3.1 ROM the camera is still a problem. I will port screen shots and the rom soon.
Extract CWM recovery form the .tar file from the url below and t and use mobileuncle tool to install it, if you are already not installed CWM in your phone.

Thanks for your thrust.
I was able to mode the few MIUI roms and MIUI Rom of ZP980 4.4 and Kit kate roms for our XOLO Q3000 I am still fine tuning it and I hope to release it today evening or night.
I have normal version and AROMA version modded.
The problem is in MIUI roms the phone storage of 12 GB or more is not visible. IF i could not I will port and then latter we will rectify them one by one. Further after pop up of Logo, the phone become black and after 2 minutes it boot to normal when we press power button. I am trying to rectify it.
Please wait till today.
In the mean time I port here a CWM flashable version of Carliv Touch Recovery V 2.2 based MTK v6 6.0.4.4 both AROMA Version and a normal flashable.
Further you can extract the recovery file and flash it through Smart phone "Flash Tool or through Mobileuncle Tool
If you have any difficulties in booting your phone I am also porting the stock boot image extracted from my phone.
Thanks for your interest

I am providing below the google drive url where the X0LO Q3000 STOCK BASED MIUI is ported.
Before doing anything kindly back up your ROM and IMEI and all data.
The Rom is modded from one of the roms available in the http://www.androidpt.com/index.php?/...roms-24042014/. It has been modded by copying files from other roms and most of them from the stock XOLO Q3000 rom.
I can not say all of them are working but most of the features are working. This is the first time I am using the MIUI Rom and it looks more customer friendly.
You have to be little patient. After pop up of Logo, the screen go black but boots up nearly after 90 seconds or 2 minutes with the boot sound. and hence do not panic.
I shall try to rectify what all required if I hear from you.
Procedure:
1. Down load the ROM from the url: Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz8Fgu4wkBnqNExrU0doV0lXS2s/edit?usp=sharing
2. take it as it is to your internal or external sd card.
3. save your rom, data and IMEI.
The IMEI can be backed up by using Mobile uncle Tool, in case of you loosing it. It did not happen to me. but as a cautin it is always better.
3. Go to recovery and Wipe all data, system and catche using any one of the recovery method with has been ported earlier.
4. Now go to te ROM zip file you have just copied and flash it.
5. Wait for one or 2 minutes. After pop up of Logo and appearance of bloack screen, the signal icons at the bottom will glow and you may here booting audio sound.
6. Now press the power button and your screen will glitter with lockscreen.
7. Follow the instructions there on.
8. After entering the MIUI Lock screen first you search for the SuperSU and click it. Install it. Now your phone is rooted. Without doing it it is difficult to achieve root. This was poping in the first pop and goes away if we do not care it in the original one. Now for convenience it has been put to leisure activity. If you do not want to root your phone do not bother about it.
Enjoy.
There are some more ROMs are on pipe line, after hearing the response I shall port them, mainly due to time constrains, it is delayed.
Hello, thank you for the touch recovery.. Brother can you please provide a kit-kat rom for this phone...I found your thread on xda which has kit-kat rom...does that rom work well with this phone..does it have any bugs/lags etc..
Already ported in a new thread. Please scout.
Thanks for encouragement.
Sent from my Q3000 using xda app-developers app
No bugs to my knowledge. You may verify and report. I shall try to provide solution.
Just by appropriate changes of files these MTK phones may accommodate other phones toms also

tried ur stock rom and miui
Why the internal storage is only 2 gb.
I am not using any external card as our phone has 16 gb internal.
if i install ur roms internal storage is not shown as it is.
instead it shows only 2 gb ???
Any solution for this??
I alrady posted in this thread regarding BQ aquaris 5.7 roms (same as our phone)
in those roms u can see internal stoarage of 16gb ??? How???
http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=772316 (see this link)
If we first flash the bq stock Rom with SP tool flasher, notice there they have given only EBR1. But no EBR2. You will get both internal and phone storage.
If you flash that Rom in XOLO you get internal storage 12 GB, external SD plus phone storage further 16 GB.
I tried other SP Flashable ROMs with that EBR1 File but phone did not boot at all.
Please note this. You open the ROM FILE, open the system, open the etc folder.
Now search for the extra vold2.fstab file and remove it from the folder. Do these edit operations remaining in the zip folder.
Flash the Custom Rom and try the enhanced storage just by flashing as you did, may ebr1 and ebr2 alone.
Format factory /data. Reboot.
Now the internal storage will be visible.
Try
Otherwise please wait till I port how we can increase the storage to 1.93 GB 2.46 GB 7 GB . My test reveals stock Rom works fine. Kit Kat Rom works fine I have 2 more ROMs I will check them tonight and port. I have up loaded the files to Google drive
7 GB in first boot do no recognise second SIM but third boot it functions.
.
I will test MIUI Rom and port tonight or tomorrow.
Thanks for reminding me.
You remove the extra Void file provided
If flash the bq stock Rom

After giving you the earlier reply I cross checkd flashing the AROMA MIUI rom ported here by me. please look at the screen shots and lap top image.
Actually the sd stgorage is there but not visblke in the storage like other ROMs. But by using EXplore if you go to storage folder of the device you can see it.
In computer both sd cards are seen and you can do the editing. This is when the phone is in the Media stage. In USB only the external storage is shown.
Actually tghe 1.93 which you have seen in your storage is the internal storage and the remaining is not shown but you can edit the files through computer in the Media mode.

Please make a single thread for this device so people can find things at one place.
Just post the links for the roms, recoveries etc at first post and keep updating.
it will be easy for u too (I think so)
Its just a suggestion.

i've downloaded all 3 files attached here. but, before i proceed, i'd like a clarification/confirmation:
i understand there are several build nos., depending on how old/recent your device is.
i've seen XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013 here, XOLO_Q3000_S009_02122013 here etc. mine is XOLO_Q3000_S011_25022014.
is the recovery.img present in the attached files here usable on all these devices (irrespective of the build no.)?
i've already extracted it. md5 checksum: 68e91ef520a215cd029d8606c489aed7. can i install it using Mobileuncle Tools safely?
@puduraja, @Vineet3, @avi3230, please answer/help. thanks in advance.

DEARFriend,
The recovery extracted depends on the boot.img that is used. If the boot.img of yours and the extracted recovery at that time is same then it can be used. Otherwise some functions may not work in the recovery, even it accepts the recovery.img. This is my experience. As I informed the XOLO Q3000 accepts three diffeent boot .img file and perfectly boots up. But the Carliv recovery which I have ported in my AROMA pertain to the stock boot.img file.
But ithe same also is used in MIUI ROMs customized by me. It is working normal. It mostly depends on the size of the .img files in general

If u have doubts regarding recovery.
u can just try it without installing it by booting in recovery not flashing it.
for this purpose u need adb tools and windows.
First install drivers for phone. (http://ge.tt/2yL21VT/v/2)
use adb tools (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474956)
extract adb tools in a dir preferably on c:\
put ur desired recovery in same folder
connect ur phone with usb cable
now goto command prompt (cmd)
goto adb directory
type adb reboot bootloader (so ur phone wil restart and stop at xolo logo)
then type fastboot boot (the recovery name).img (this will on boot in particular recovery without flashing it.
if it boot in recovery means its working
by this method u can just backup ur stock rom with stock recovery.
if u want perment cwm recovery then flash it.
using fastboot flash recovery.img

Yes its working fine :good:, maybe you would like to pull out your system folders from your phone manually and put it inside the deodexer folder.

8. Run main.bat
