[Q] Synergy ROM - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I've been using Synergy rom for two days, using the camera a lot for school work and family. After the period of two days, the camera is locked onto video, becomes unresponsive, and then crashes. This is really annoying as the only reason i use TW roms in the first place is the camera as it gets better photos than the aosp camera. This is really disappointing. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I've flashed the zip containing the camera files and wiped my cache and dalvik cache, with the same results. Does anyone have any ideas for a long time fix besides re-flashing the rom?

CM7 Camera Problems

Hi,
I am running CM 7.1.0 RC1 - G2x
and running a kernel from Faux123
So the problem i am having i searched for a while but didn't get the answer.
The camera app on CM7 is responsing very weirdly. I dont know if each camera on each phone is different but since this is the G2x Q and A i guess i will just not describe it. So the touch menu on the camera app doesnt respond to touching or actually anything. i cant zoom.. change camera....change anything using that touch menu. The shutter button works and the Gallery button as well but just not that the touch menu
Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks for reading
Anyone know??!?!?!
i cant zoom in( only zoom 1 and 8)
i really hate this
anyone hav this problem?
I don't have this problem, and judging by lack of responses I doubt anyone else has it, either.
Maybe its a bad flash?
Try to flash cm7 again using the following procedure:
-boot into cwm
-wipe cache
-advanced, wipe dalvik
-flash the zip
-fix permissions
See if that helps... if not you may have to wipe data as well.
Speaking of CM7 camera problems though, anyone notice some sort of delay in the flash that makes it not work properly and take dark pictures? I know its not the hardware because when I use other camera apps they take very nice, bright pictures because the flash works differently. Anyone else notice this?

[Q] Epic 4g w/ Legendary Issues?! Help

Hello... I installed the latest Legendary RC with the included Samauri kernel. I started with a clean wipe. I also installed GO Launcher EX (5x4 on Homescreens).
I LOVE this rom. Very snappy. However, I'm having 2 big issues.
1. The battery indicator has been erratic especially after reboot. It will show 60%, I'll reboot or restart and it will be at 20%. Has anybody else experienced this or is there something I can do to fix it?
2. I had all my home screens setup then when I restart sometimes the screens get messed up. Sometimes I will get repeat widgets and overlapping widgets. I fix it, reboot, and it may or may not get messed up again upon restart. Because it happens on restart I do not know if this is related to the above problem or if there is an incapatibility between GO 5x4 and Legendary?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first ROM so I'm a complete noob.
Additionally, A video chat using Google Talk has a green screen for my video (the front camera)
Should I reinstall the ROM? Will that mess up any of my apps or data?
I reinstalled the ROM but I have the same issue with the Gtalk Video being solid green for my front facing camera. Any ideas?
Bueller? Bueller?
Let me ask a different question about the front facing camera not working. Is it definitely a ROM issue? I installed a different kernel and that didn't make any difference.
Should I be asking this in a different location?

[Q] Skyrocket Camera not working properly (App is freezing/crashing)

I've been having camera issues with my Skyrocket for a while now. About 1/4 the times I start up my camera app, it will display what the camera is seeing, but none of the user interface is there. No option buttons, no focus rectangle - nothing. If I try to hit the back button, it lags out for a while and will usually (after 30+ seconds) tell me that the camera app is not responding. If I hit the Home button, it takes me back home, but opening the camera app again will still show the camera's view without the UI.
If I follow this guy's suggestion, it does work.

However, this process is tedious and time consuming, especially if this is happening 1/4 the times I use my camera. I use my camera a lot on my phone, and this has been a huge PITA. This might just be speculation on my part, but I don't recall having this issue before rooting my phone. I was hoping that by upgrading from Seanz ICS to [4.1.2] [UCLL3] Stock Debloat it would solve my problem, but unfortunately it hasn't.
Does anyone know of a more permanent way of preventing the camera app from crashing so frequently?
I just wanted to bump this one final time to see if anyone had any suggestions for me. I still have no clue why it's failing to boot the camera's UI sometimes, but it is extremely annoying and I would appreciate any help, suggestions, or even hypotheses at this point.

return to stock with odin and see if that cures it, wipe before and after returning to stock ics, if its still a prob then its hardware failure
edit: or an app that youre installing is interfering wth the camera, or sdcard issues
Download ICS Camera from the Play Store. Works great even when stock camera isn't. I don't know why.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
I'll give those a shot and see what comes of it. Thank you for the help.

HELP! Camera not functioning

Camera stopped working on AOSP roms. Flashed a new version of PacMan which I've been running for weeks, and camera suddenly stops. Won't work on any AOSP rom. Flashed back to TW momentarily, and it works fine however.
I've tried:
Numerous clean installs
Fixing permissions
Clearing gallery data
Re-installed newest baseband
Half the time I get a "Cannot Connect to Camera" error, and half the time I can appear to take one picture and then the device goes black and/or freezes.
Any ideas for a fix???? I've got a 1 year old, so the camera is not really optional for me at this time. Never had so many problems on a phone that couldn't be resolved with a clean flash, making me miss my trusty Gnex and almost starting to regret this phone. Thanks in advance!
Fixed... Odin back to stock and re-rooted.

Rear camera sluggish

I'm facing an issue with my camera which I couldn't find anything about via a web search. So I would like to know if anyone experienced something similar?
I'm running the stock rom and didn't tinker with the phone.
Since yesterday my rear camera is really slow an only slowing blurred images. The whole phone seems to be running really slow and unable to handle the data. Switching to the front camera takes ages but once it's active it's working normally.
If I try to use the camera several times I end up with a black preview image. A reboot returns the camera to the previous laggy state.
Changing to a different camera app yields the same behavior. Could be an issue with the latest patch for Android 12 I i installed around the same time or my hardware is fried...

I would try a system reset if possible, I know its a pain but if it works problem solved, You could also try going back to a different build via android flash tool , just a couple of ideas although extreme ,would narrow it down even more to a hardware issue over corrupt software. Hth

I feared that I would have to do this. Factory reset and flashing an older version didn't help.
Now I can hear that something is moving inside when I shake the phone. Time to crack it open and have a look.
Thanks for the suggestions.
