The "Listen to" voice action no longer works as it should with Google Play Music
I see an ancient thread specific to Galaxy Note II. I think this is not device specific and related to the Google Play Music refresh.
When I used to say "Listen to artist" it would automatically start playing music if it matched an artist in my library on Google Play Music. Now I say "listen to artist" and it says playing request but then displays an icon for that artist in the app, I click on the icon and it shows a list of albums, I click on "all songs" and then have to hit the menu button and click "shuffle" to start playing all songs from that artist. If I say "listen to song" the song starts playing automatically. I have tried 4 different album names I see in my library and "listen to album" just does a google search for "listen to album". I have an HTC One with Android 4.1.2 with Google Play Music version 5.0.1026J
Is this still working properly for anyone else?

I have this exact same problem using htc one x on old Google music app it would automatically start playing the song or album I asked Google search to play .but now when I do a Google voice search for the song album it just takes me to the album or song by that arrest I then have to press play manually which sort of defeats the purpose of having voice search.

TouchFlo3D Music Player, how to play by genre/artist/etc?

I can't seem to get used to the TouchFlo3D music player. It found all my music and I can browse it in the library. I can play single mp3s from an album and somehow managed to create a playlist with all my music.
But isn't it somehow possible to play an entire album? Or all songs from an artist or genre? When I go to the library, choose the 'artists' tab, select an artist and press 'Play' at the bottom right it just returns to the media player without playing anything (the songs already there just remain there).
Am I missing something? Windows media player does it just fine but the touch music player confuses me bigtime.

Click to collapse
To play an album: "Library" -> click on the CD case picture (it will show all albums) -> scroll to the album you want to listen to -> tap on it -> tap on the first song (it will start paying the first song and will then continue with the rest of the album)
Argh, and if I go to the genre -> all songs and play the first one there it also queues the entire genre...
Cheers for the response anonimo... Can't believe how I missed it.

Music Player

tried mortplayer 3 poweramp winamp and the standard music player on a few droids now
but looking for a music player that i can search for a song from my library on my droid device
so basically i enter the track name via a search box and it plays off my memory card on my phone
Try Winamp again.
In setting -> searchable items select winamp.
You will be able to use global search to find artist, song or album.
Sattisfied?
funnily enough just installed winamp 1.1.1 and on the home screen theres actually now a search button
True, and as said you can also hook it to global search

Is there a "Sync all" button for Google Play Music?

I switched from Spotify and couldn't find an answer. I know Music let's you play your stored songs and streamed songs. Is there a way that you can download every song that is a part of your streaming collection? Right now, the way I see is you click the album and press "keep on device" but that's tiresome for every song.

Voice Music Controls for Play Music?

So, is there a tweak that lets you control Google Play Music with voice .. like "next song" "pause" "stop" ?
The only music control that works is "listen to music" and opens play music.
So, let me know if there is an exposed modules that enables these controls, thanks.

Google Music shuffle annoyance

Every time I open Google Music and start playing a song in an album it will auto choose shuffle all. I don't want to shuffle the songs! Any ideas?

Click to collapse
1. Turn off shuffle.
2. Do not press the giant play button on the upper right side of song lists or albums. It automatically shuffles.
3. Try clearing your current play queue.
4. Still doesn't work? Contact Google.
