So I'm from Serbia, and for reasons best known to Google, they won't let anyone from my country buy apps on Google Play. This was easy to circumvent by using proxy servers or VPN, but now (in the last week or so), Google Play won't let me buy apps any more. When I use a VPN (whether on my desktop or my Android devices), Google Play is now showing me only free apps. When I use a different browser (where I'm not logged in with my Google account), Play is showing me the store of whatever country the proxy server is in, but when I log in using my account, it's showing only free apps.
Does anyone know what changed and what is Google using to figure out which country I'm in? I don't have a country set in my Google account (it says optional so I didn't specify it), but somehow they know I'm not in the US or the UK even if I'm using a proxy.
Do you have location service enabled on your phone?

It's very irritating that Google Play Store won't let you download an app that you wrote & published to it. So (on my only Android device), I added another existing Gmail account (after clearing Gmail's data) and added another actual Debit card: both in my wife's name. Google Play Store still comes up with "Error: Your order could not be processed". I noticed that (even though I select my wife's Debit card, it still shows my email address against the 'Pay with' screen text. What should I do?
PS I wanted to post this on the PaidApps sub-forum (as it seemed more appropriate) but I'm not allowed to do that due to my lowly status!
Go in the application settings & clear the data. There are 3, Google Play, Google Service Framework, & Google somethingelse (can't remember).
Also, might be because it's sending your IMSI/IMEI. You can install LBE Security (you should have it anyway), & block Play Store from accessing IMSI/IMEI.

I think you can install the app with adb if you still have a copy.
Open Google Play, press menu, accounts, where it will give you an option to switch the account you are using for Google Play.
You didn't need to clear data in Gmail either. Android supports having multiple Google accounts on a single phone.

I live in Tanzania but I am an American and have an American billing address. This morning I woke up and both my tablet and phone asked me to re-accept the play store agreement. To my wondering eyes I now have access to the US Play Store with music, TV, and everything. It is also the same way on my PC. I wasn't running a VPN or using the Market Enabler app. My IP clearly shows that I am located in Tanzania. The only thing I can think is that the Play Store is now getting my location from my billing address. Is anyone else having this same fortune?
Also I don't think they just extended the store to Tanzania because I can see even particular apps which are normally only in the US store. And other apps which aren't in the US play store I still can't see (like the VLC beta).
Shouldn't this be news or something?
Edit: My wife is not getting the same results. One difference there is that her account is a free gmail account and mine is g apps for business. Maybe that's important.
Yeah I noticed something similar too. I bought a nexus from Germany to Slovenia with a German virtual credit card and through a forwarding service.
So I guess that the store now thinks that I live in Germany. Just now I noticed that the Play Store app on all my devices started showing music, movies, books and other stuff from German Play Store.
The same on PC without VPN or proxy. It seems they removed all geolocation IP checks and now require just correct billing address and/or credit card.
Well I guess I can't complain.
I activated my google music account about 4 days ago and now I am trying to get an all access subscription.
I am from The Netherlands and The Netherlands is still not in the list for google music.
Google asked me when I activated the account for standard or 30 day free trial and I choose at that moment for the standard.
Is it still possible for me to change this somehow to "All access"?
Google play music works fine in Asia area but the first thing you need to do is to activated it via USA IP address and then you can use it in different country.

I can upload and listen to the songs but I can't take a monthly subscription.
Somehow this option is disabled for me.
Or is it disabled for everyone?

Hello XDA-Developers
I am living in germany and i want to try Google Music All Access. I know it is possible with a US-proxy. With my second account i can choose All Access. But with my main Google Account i can´t choose the All Access Option.
Everytime i try to login with a US-proxy i get the german site. I put all information in my google account to US. So all things in the account are now US, i also deleted my payment methods and added american addresses. But i get only the german site with every login, but only with the main account.. :/
Anybody can maybe help me?

You can use various (free) proxy programs like TunnelBear (http://www.tunnelbear.com/). With this program i have successfully activated my Google Music account from The Netherlands.
Same here :-\ If I'm logged out everything is US, but if I log me in, everything switches to the german site.
But I was able to order something from the US play store.
So how to transform my german to a US account?

Lets me use the Google Play Store from Thailand so I can view hardware.
Hi everyone!
When I was making current Gmail account which is connected with google play store now, from some reason then I changed the country on play store over vpn. Than I was just a high school kid and now I want to connect a payment card to play store, a lot of applications which I want to download has not available in other countries, only in my. I tried everything to back account on my country but without success. I can't just switch to another account because when I tried to switch it requires password and when I put a password it won't to accept it but password is correct tho. What's happening with my account and play store? Any advice? I will be very grateful, thanks!
