Welcome to my collection of Bootanimations. I will be posting my created and ported bootanimations here. I also accept requests and ports, so if you see a nice bootanimation for some other phone, ask me to make it for our Pico!

Instructions:
Download the zip file.
Rename it as per your ROM's requirement. (bootanimation.zip for CM/AOKP; hTC_bootup.zip for Sense 4)
Go to the system folder where the original bootanimation is located using any Root Explorer (usually /system/media).
Replace the original with this one. Set permissions to rw-r--r--
Done. Now restart and enjoy!

Which ROM do you use. I have tested in CM and AOKP they work at the right speed. Sense 4 roms have problems as they seem to speed up the bootanimation. Have no diea how to fix it.

sense 5 ex ROM.... the rotation is not accurate as d speed of windows8.... it rotates very fast... :/
and what if u include more frames to slower the rotationt??

I had the same issue when i was using Sense 5 EX. The first rotation is fine, the later ones speed up. Its an issue with the ROM, not the boot animation.

Boot animation sound works only in Stock Roms! In other roms, as far as I know, you need to change few lines in xmls to make it work..

How to install the BootAnimation:
1. Using your file manager browse to (folder where you found the original bootanimation)
2. Rename it to bootanimation.bak
3. Browse to your sdcard to the location of your new boot animation
4. Rename your new boot animation to bootanimation.zip if it isn't already
5. Copy the new boot animation to (folder where you found the original bootanimation)
6. Permisions for file is rw-, r--, r--
7. Reboot and Enjoy

I know how to change with adb as root, but without root... so i thought I ask how to use (maybe unknown possibility to change , but obviously no such possibility..)
look on modaco's site, as he has established root already on these phones. With root it's easy, just replace the bootanimation.zip file with the new one and you're good to go!

maybe it's just me, but that seems like a ridiculous way to go about adjusting the size/number of the icons on your home screen. i wasn't really too keen on making this change anyhow, since i don't really have anything more that i wish to add to my home screen. thanks though
It works well, but as you can see in that picture above there's overlap between the clock widget and icons, and the outline that appears when an app is being moved is misaligned for apps in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th rows, and nonexistent for the 5th row.
Is it at all possible to move the top of the first row up and increase the spacing between rows to fix this problem?
Any other links besides MediaFire? It's blocked in China. I've always wanted a 4x5 or 5x5 homescreen. I'm itching to try this.

naa not dropbox please. dropbox will delete the link and disable your account if they see that many people download your file from there
..and there are still sense 4+ icons arent there?
the camera and dialer icons dont look like the sense 5 one

AOSP. You can tell that just by looking at it.
Stock android keyboard . Stock Sense 4.1.1 kernel
UPLOAD DELAY - I was using my 3G connection to upload and only 159 mbs were left and my data balance finished , i rushed to recharge shops but its too late now . Shops are closed . SORRY again . my wifi will take 5-6 hours to upload this .. and am awaiting my new debit card from bank so cant recharge online .. was a small amount thought 3.04 GBP or 5$ .. but sorry cant help it , will upload tomorrow .
Maybe someone else that can port it the way you did, or does it take a lot of time and effort?

Yeah @torxx is right . Just replace the boot.img with any 4.1.1 rom's boot.img , replace the hw folder from any 4.1.1 rom and edit the density in the build.prop to 240 . It will boot straight away .
Download the base I have mentioned in op . And replace the boot.img in it , the hw folder in system/lib and edit the build.prop

is there any graphic issues because of resolution difference ?
and one x has nvidia cpu, is there not edit needed on framework or something like that ?
i leaved porting roms 1 year ago. but sense 5 interesting me do it again
Sense 5 doesn't need to be resized and the base is of evita(one xl) the snapdragon version

Hey Community,
I found this bootanimation for the M7:

I didn't find that one for our device, so I modified the one from the above thread to match the M8 specs. I attach it to this post.
Just use any root explorer to copy it to your ROMs bootanimation location and dont forget to set permissions!
It might be necessary to rename it, just name it like your ROMs current bootanimation.
Robot sequence is looping until booted.

The bootanimation location can be different, depends on the ROM. Just use any root explorer to copy it to your ROMs bootanimation location and set the permissions. I use InsertCoin, the location is /system/customize/resource. Permissions are rw-r--r-- (644).

Thanks Diddy. It's been awhile since I've messed with a bootanimation and an even longer time dealing with an HTC Bootanimation. Works like a charm. Great work

htc_bootup_one.zip is in system/customize/resource/ make sure your permissions are set to: user rw-, group r--, others r--.

Yes you can, make sure you don't compress the new zip otherwise you won't see anything at boot. Have fun!

i was able to make it but for some reason at the end of animation before it loops back a white screen flashes real quick... i dont know why but if someone else know why please let me know but anyways download here
