SwiftKey is the Best
I have tried both Swype and SwiftKey and in my point of view "SwiftKey" is the best.

I use thumb keyboard..its stable and more responsive.. imo..

I use the GO Keyboard. I like the designs and interface as well as the multi language functionality when I need to communicate in Latin to my brethren. It's got swype functionality and it's free too. I've used several keyboards before so I've had a decent spectrum to play with.

SwiftKey is awesome! Their new Flow feature (basically their version of Swype) is great too.

I've Enjoyed Mine!
I used to use as many keyboards I could to test which I like. For a long time I didn't keep a keyboard for a week. I eventually found the keyboard of my dreams (replaced by the stock ICS now)... Jelly Bean Keyboard by VLLWP. I highly recommend it.:good:

Since 4.2 never used any software as it included swype feature.
Before that swype 3
And also used siine keyboard just for fun.

I use swiftkey. The trail it leaves when swiping looks loads better than Swype and stock JB

Swiftkey on my phone, Hackers Keyboard on my tab. (swipe on 10.1 inch, really?)

I use Touchpal on my phone and tab. I like the fast switching between languages (I switch a lot between English and Dutch) and between swyping and typing. And the fast way to type numbers and symbols (swyping up on the right key) is a big advantage.

TouchPal is the best.

Smartkeyboard.
I gave so many others the chance, but every other missed features I need.
I need customizable longpress duration, customizable smileys (I even use a smiley key as my mail, meaning it's so much easier to login everywhere) and really important: the whole keyboard must be resizable (because my lcd density on the nexus4 is on 240, wich would mean every keyboard is extremely small).
I also like the arrowkeys in portrait mode and the domainkey (wich I only use for even more shortcut smileys susch as \o/ or ^^ / ^.^)
Oh, and I don't need any prediction, here in switzerland we write in swiss-german, wich doesn't really exist. There is no word prediction or something like that for us.
I get an average kpm of 240-250 with smartkeyboard pro. Once I even got to almost 300

Mine is Swype. The only feature it's missing that I desperately want is a setting for long press duration.

I have also used a lot of keyboards
but I keep turning to smart keyboard
swiftkey lags a little on my phone
I just hope smart keyboard had ics theme

Main KB
I'm using Swype atm.

SwiftKey is the best in my opinion because its much better than the stock keyboard.

I wish SwiftKey had the action of the swype key.
Where it highlighted the last word..

SwiftKey is the fastest on my phone.

I am using anysoftkeyboard.
It's not bad.

I actually liked SwiftKey Flow, even though everyone hates it.

The Dragon Dictation option for text works great!

I didn't find out about it until yesterday, but it works awesome. I'm even using it to write this message LOL.

It does work well. It even picks up "naughty" words, which is useful for when I'm mad at people.
But... the thing that sucks about it is that if you have your input method set to Dragon, you get the crappy dragon keyboard if you need to type, which doesn't support Swype or do any spelling corrections. If you want a decent keyboard because you are in a loud area, you have to manually switch it back to the Swype keyboard.
Dragon? Are you listening? Please fix.
Swiftkey is the best keyboard out IMO. Better than Swype or any carrier specific KB.

[Recommendation] FlexT9 keyboard

I picked up this keyboard when it was free on the Amazon App Store a while back. It's awesome! You have several different input options:
tap-type
trace (like Swype)
voice (great recognition!)
write (like a stylus)
I use the voice method most, but all of them work really well. And unlike a lot of other aftermarket keyboards, this one has numbers and special characters on long-press (they're shown above the letters).
The only thing I'm missing coming from the stock HTC Sense keyboard is the directional buttons for moving the cursor around text fields - without a trackball, it's kind of a pain to move around by touching. At least this keyboard has a 'pointer' you can drag around, which makes it a little easier.
Any other great keyboards out there?
I'd like a keyboard I could fully customize. I'd love to be able to remove the buttons that I never use and just get in the way (voice button, language button, etc).
I'd also like to force the predictive text to pick the words I want by default. Typing "aren't" always tries to replace it with "seen" grrrr.

SwiftKey X is a good one to use too. There's a free beta in the market, and by far the best keyboard I've used

+1
The arrow keys on Gingerbread are hidden but can be brought in by just dragging the spacebar up and hidden by dragging it down, which I like since I hardly use them but still need them every once in a while
Is there a way to make the keyboard default to FlexT9 or Swiftkey or whatever you have installed? It's kind of annoying to have to set it up every time I restart the phone.

SwiftKey tablet keyboard

Just got this, but the tab version not mobile version, and it's best keyboard I've used. Check it out

give us some screenshots mate.
Here is landscape mode! Portrait is pretty standard
From the bad ass Note
They keyboard is nice but the themes really blow
I HATE this keyboard, worst I've EVER used...
Even when going through the options and changing them the keyboard app tires me...
when typing sms messages it will add words when starting a sentence, predicting what I'm about to type and it's always wrong. Theres no way to remove this.
Also the spelling correction is even worse and will CHANGE words even when their correct, or simple names of places/people it will change it to something different, it's a NIGHTMARE...

Actually there is.. Go into settings, then advanced, then change "space bar will..." to "complete current word" or "always insert a space". I had some problems with it auto-adding words too at first but these settings helped me. So try that if you want
I've been using SwiftKey for a long time now and for me the autocorrection and word prediction is far better than every other keyboard I've tried. And I've tried loads of them.. Just make sure to download and set your correct language packs and set it to learn from your text messages, gmail, Facebook and so on.

best keyboard ever.
esp. if you use a couple of languages to type.
Thumb Keyboard is very good too, you can choose between different themes and layouts and adjust them.

Have to agree. SwiftKey is superb. Just moved over to note from sensation. The mobile version is smooth and quick on the note.

did you guys notice that the very first keypress after reboot goes silent while every subsequent tap clicks? that annoyed me to no end so i had to switch to another keyboard. or was it just my note?
Is there a way for this app to not use prediction and disable those 3 boxes that shows word choices?

Swiftkey

Is anyone out there using Swiftkey tablet. I use it because of the Dvorak keyboard layout, mainly because the Note doesnt seeem to support keyboard layouts other than Qwerty.
When I type in Swiftkey it seems to be registering multiple keystrokes. This doesnt happen in the stock samsung keyboard or SlideIt

Did you try Polaris Office and S Note.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no avail. Still does it in these two apps.
I'm using SwiftKey without any issues. I've used both Polaris and S Note. Did you try a restart? Could be some sort of magnetic issue that might be resolved that way. Big bummer. Sorry.
I have swiftkey on all my devices except the Note10.1.
Does Swiftkey support big, small hovering and split keyboard like original keyboard ?

It supports big and split, but no hovering.
does using a keyboard other than the stock one still allow you to use the S-pen instead of the keyboard whenever you want to? I know that the stock keyboard has the setting button that you press to select text recognition for using the pen within the browser.
Think it's a common issue but I can't get SwiftKey T to learn from my Gmail.
Anyone else having this problem?? Or have a suggestion.??

I'm using SwiftKey 3, but I've been experiencing a lot of freezing+force closing when using it with Chrome.
Hovering would be nice. It offers all else that I need.
Hi all,
I work for SwiftKey. Please be sure to post bug reports (one at a time) on our public forum at support.swiftkey.net. We also welcome suggestions there. Regarding Droidcarp's note that there appears to be some difficulty with personalization, our Dev Team has been made aware of this report and they are looking into it for you.
Again, our public forum is the best place for suggestions and bug reports. This allows us to streamline the development process so we can continue to make SwiftKey as excellent as possible for you.
Thanks very much,
-Reppate
As long as you dropped in, HWR would be good, too. Sammy offers a hover keyboard and HWR, also. Started using their split keyboard - very nice - and offers HWR.

Any idea how to get the handwriting key to be included?
It is a shame the standard samsung keyboard doesnt support dvorak
Definitely needs handwriting support and the arrow keys like the phone keyboard.
For now it's fine to leave the stock keyboard set on handwriting and use the keyboard switcher in the notifications to switch but it would be useful for it to be integrated.
Also maybe a way to adjust the width, in split mode it seems too wide and I have big hands!
I switched to swift key also from swype today and noticed an echo like effect in snote, working fine in the xda app but broken in the snote app.

My stock Samsung keyboard can no longer provide haptic feedback after installing the SwiftKey tablet, does anyone have the same problem.? I think doesn't matter how you change the settings, and it just doesn't vibrate

Which keyboard?

I realize I liked the Samsung keyboard (I switched to CM so it is gone). I used to use smartkeyboard but they've never added slide typing or whatever you call it when you slide your finger around the keyboard.
So anyway, does anyone really love a particular keyboard and why?

Have you tried SwiftKey Tablet?
It's not free but it has the swiping feature, and in landscape mode it splits into two halves so you can type with your thumbs.
The Google Keyboard is free, and also has the swipe feature.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually found Swype (also not free) which I really love. It has every feature I could ask for except for one thing. It doesn't have a built in button for disappearing the keyboard. Most of the time - but not always - a button appears on my nav bar. Other than that I would call it the perfect keyboard.
